How do you pronounce Clara?

We have already went with this name, our daughter was born in August! But my family says it one way and everyone else says it another way. I’m just interested in seeing if one way is more common than the other.

    I say it the first way. I think it depends on your region and I’m in the northeast. Great name!

    After much research I found that this was seems more common in the UK, but my family is all from NY and this is how they are saying it. I’m in The Midwest, everyone here (myself included) says it the second way. So you’re probably right that it’s regional. :)

    I've never heard it pronounce claire-uh before -- not in NY/NJ at least lol
