Typical LP length: ugh, wish I knew

Testing: waiting for AF

R/R: rant: started doing OPK this month and using CB Advanced got 9 days of "high" and no peak. So maybe I'm not actually ovulating, or didn't this cycle? Or maybe the LH was just really short. In any case, it dropped to low today, so I'm going to move myself over here, in case it is the latter. WHY IS THIS SO COMPLICATED???
Rave: it was finally sunny yesterday for the first time in weeks and I loved it. Freckles back in full force.

CS/Q: other than the OPK mystery, I'm good.

@spacepiraterunner what CD did you start taking your OPK? And did you test several times a day?

R/R: Can't decide if this is a rant or a rave but DH wants to wait until FRIDAY to test (so we'll see if AF shows up on Thursday or not). Do you know how far away FRIDAY is from right now?!?!

R/R: Had a great weekend, woke up with a sore throat. Wtf. I took honey (for my green tea) and cough drops with me to work, so hopefully that will help a lot!

CS/Q: Nada

@julwonderlust They do say that taking a test the day of your missed period is 99% accurate...so at least you won’t be “wasting” tests? Idk, just trying to put a positive spin on it!

@spacepiraterunner Sorry you’re having a lot of confusion over those CB ovulation tests. It could be that your LH surge is just lower than their threshold for the “peak”.

@spacepiraterunner Are you in your late 30s? I’ve read about elevated LH with age making opks unreliable. If not, maybe your LH just runs high?

@julwonderlust I’d probably start testing tomorrow or weds if I were you but I have no self control

R/R: DH had to get up at 4am so temping is messed up today. I couldn’t fall back asleep forever then had a nightmare and woke up again. Looking forward to acupuncture this morning.

Typical LP length: 13, but changing (still trying to get back to normal after BC)

Testing: I know it is ridiculous, but I tested today (negative), trying to wait until Thursday morning to try again, which will be 5 days before AF.

R/R: Alright, I'm really trying to keep my cool, but can any of us?? I've been using ovulation kits, which is how I calculated my timing. However, I'm also only a few months off BC and still a bit irregular. During ovulation this month, my husband and I were both sick. Recently I've been cramping a lot. I've also had trouble going to the br (TMI, I'm really sorry!) but even coffee won't do the trick (I used to drink daily, now a couple times a week). I LOVE roller coasters, but took it easy at the park over the weekend. I only rode a few mild rides and the nausea kicked in-doesn't make much sense to me bc rides never make me sick. I know I'm only 6DPO but it's killing me. Also been very thirsty and feel like I can't get a full deep breathe. Perhaps I'm looking into every symptom way too much?

CS/Q: I'm new here and don't know what this means. HA! Help anyone?

@julwonderlust In terms of texting, I'd say you've gotta do whatever is likely to keep you from going totally crazy. MH also insists we always wait for AF; but sometimes I just test when he is out because it is MY body that might have a much-wanted parasite and he totally doesn't get how crazy it is when you are SS and waiting. So I vote you do you, but if you can hold out until at least Wednesday, you've got a better chance of an accurate test.

On the OPK issue, I started testing CD6, got my first "high" CD 7, testing just AM (which is what the box recommended) then when I didn't get a peak by CD 12 I started testing AM and evening.

@lillywonderland and @mamanbebe I'm hoping that the lower-than-normal LH (or maybe just really high estrogen masking it?) is what happened; I'm in my early 30s, but my body has always been a little mature for its age...

@nightdreamr13 it means "chart share (or chart stalk)/questions" If you read the full post for intro for newbies, it has all the abbreviations in it, which is really helpful.

@spacepiraterunner that's so frustrating, I hate when OPKs are weird. Hopefully you did ovulate in there somewhere and all is good!
@julwonderlust waiting is the WORST! Agreed with @mamanbebe, I always tell myself I'm going to wait until X day but then I'm like well...I have cheap tests so might as well and just scratch the itch, right?

Month/Cycle: 10/11

CD/DPO: 16 / 6 (I think)

Timing: if I base O on cramping, -2, 0

Typical LP length: 14-16

Testing: at the earliest, Sunday. My 2 apps have way different predictions for when I'm getting my period this month, with the earlier of the 2 on the 26th. Going to try to wait till it's 2 weeks past my +OPK though, which would be the 25th

R/R: still annoyed at my early ovulation cramping and the wrench it has thrown in calculating everything. One app is predicting I'll have a 24 day cycle which know isn't a big deal but I'm usually like clockwork, 26 or 27 days since I've started tracking. I really have no idea when to expect my period / when would be the best time to test. I would like to say I'll just calm down and wait till late next week, but I know myself.

@spacepiraterunner, thanks! I searched the abbreviation glossary before I posted but it didn't have this one listed! I'm not really charting-I've just been using the kits to determine when my fertile time frame is. I just recently starting charting my BBT so I don't think those numbers would help yet. If I understand correctly though, an increase in temp is a good sign and a drop may not be such a good sign?
