Cutting back hours at work 33 weeks 2 days

Hey everyone! I am wondering what everyone is doing in regards to their work schedules. I have a very active job at a veterinary clinic. I am constantly "trying" to bend over, get up off the ground from holding larger animals and am on my feet all day. Although I can sit down if I feel I need too.

I have wanted to stay as active as possible throughout my entire pregnancy but am finding it harder and harder these days. I work 10-12 hour shifts (40 hours a week max).

I have HUGE concerns about holding bigger animals and/or fractious animals at this point in time as well.

I have the option some shift to switch and work reception if needed but it has been few and far between as we have been short staffed.

I feel guilty cutting my hours back but am thinking it might be the right choice for me at this point. Maybe just cutting back 5-10 hrs per week? Not sure.........

Any how just wanted to throw this out there and see what/how other people are doing on their pregnancy journeys!

  • Hi there, I would suggest putting this in the existing thread called “work stuff” (or something similar).
  • Loading the player...
  • I think if you can financially cut back your hours then do so, but we can't tell you that.

Also read the "welcome read this first" thread, then you should introduce yourself in the intro thread and change your screen name so we can get to know you.  :)
