@Worldtravler0522 Oh, old friend, my heart breaks for you. I am so sorry and frankly mad that something like scheduling and insurance can dictate so much for us. There is nothing fair about any of this. I hope that you can find some comfort in the fact that there are a bunch of people here who will never stop hoping for you. And, like I always say, I truly believe that we'll be able to look back at our lives in 20 years and understand why this happened to us. Love to you.
@ChristenMA83 I hope the TWW comes to a close for you soon, medicated cycles are always such a relief for me because my cycle on its own is such a freaking mess I am ALWAYS hopeful because I have no idea when my period will start so there's always a chance (a chance for me to spend ridiculous amounts of money on HPTs) *sigh Congrats on your weight loss! My infertility journey has gone hand in hand with my body issues...I gained 50lbs in less than two years. I hate this diet he has me on, haha, but I have lost 25 of those lbs which is a huge relief now that this might be it for us. I can't wait to hear more about your detox!!!!!
@Bababatty I would say it's unlikely that your diet has caused anything (and I believe that like 99%) but after everything I've learned from our current RE honestly nothing surprises me anymore. Here's where I get hung up though...thousands of women get pregnant every day on totally sh*tty diets. I'm glad you're not too disappointed about this cycle, though! I am disappointed for you, haha, I was excited BUT I'll stay excited for next cycle!
@sarahven Welcome! Good luck with your first (I think it's your first?) medicated cycle!!!!!
@funkykey I am still reeling over the fact that you're being audited. I can't even.

WOOHOO!!! I know this time is Still very nerve wracking, but that is a fantastic start and I am so hopeful for you! YH sounds like mine in the optimism department. It’s definitely good to have someone to balance you out—even though sometimes I’m like, “Could you please just shut up and wallow with me?!” Keep Up the good implantation work, Little embie!
@mirabelle33 Thank you for talking me off a cliff vegetarian diet-wise! I always need SOMETHING to stress about. I could literally be in a textbook perfect cycle, and I’d be freaking out about how fast I walked to work or something else ridiculous. I’m excited to hear what your naturopath says on Friday.
AFM My RE is concerned that I was TOO enthusiastic in the diet and exercise department so I’m focusing on maintaining and he only wants 2-3 days of moderate exercise. (@BWhitta sounds like he’s more in your RE’s camp of limited to no exercise.) I didn’t even lose that much weight, which is frustrating. Oh well. I did insist on a programmed cycle for next go around, so now we’re rushing about trying to get the meds in order to start Lupron next week. I HATE having to order meds online (it really stresses me out) when there’s a perfectly good specialty pharmacy 10 blocks away. Such are the dictates of my insurance, which I’m just lucky to have.
QOTW 13 years old. They’re a pair of sandals I bought junior year of college. And now I feel really old.
1. TTC a little over a year
2. No diagnosis other than a very large ovarian cyst that shouldn’t be causing any provlems
3. No RX plan
intend to see a specialist for 2 and 3 I’m January with insurance change
@BWhitta - how is it going? Thinking of you! Keeping FX that this is the one!! Great news re: your second beta!!
@Bababatty - Have you started the lupron? Are you doing a transfer cycle?
@estherjvb - welcome. When will you see a specialist? Are you just waiting on insurance? (Am I reading that right?)
@drewsdarlin - how is it going? When are you set to start your cycle?
QOTW: I think my Birkenstocks are like 10 years old now. I actually am going to need to have them re-soled soon. Finally! I've finally become an owner of Birkenstocks who needs to have them re-soled!
AFM: Day 7 of stims is complete! We're hoping for retrieval sometime this weekend, or early next week. I had been feeling really zen about all of this, like: "If it works, great, if not, well, at least we tried." I was feeling peaceful and fatalistic. Then **TW** yesterday my sister told me that she is now pregnant with her second. **end TW**. Those of you who have been around for a while *cough cough @Bababatty * may remember that I started TTC her the same time she started TTC for her first, and when my niece was born, I was just starting IUI cycles.
I'm so happy for her, but it took the wind out of my sails a bit. I often feel, in this, that life is kind of passing me by. That I'm kind of stuck in this purgatory of like: "will they, won't they?" I often wish someone could just tell me if this was going to work or not, and if not, then we could look at other options.
Anyway, it was a real reminder of how long I've been at this, and at how hard and lonely this road has been. Big thanks to all of you for walking along this road with me, and providing this companionship.
ETA: looks like the auditing isn't going to be soo bad. Someone helps us with our taxes, so it shouldn't be such a struggle. More just a pain in the ass.

@mirabelle33 sooooooooo close!!!!!!!

AFM, we are 6 weeks today. I am extremely fatigued for most of the day (been walking on the treadmill for half an hour to try to get some energy going) and nausea has really started to kick in the last few days. I panic when it’s not there and wish for it...and then always end up regretting that, haha. For some reason it tends to start in the afternoon and go all night. Also peeing non stop and waking up at dawn without fail, which is annoying. My ultrasound is Friday morning and I’m not super nervous about it yet, but I am sure I will be a wreck by tomorrow night. I am really confident about my symptoms, but I will just never be convinced that this is really happening. Every time I allow myself to get excited or hopeful, an equal or greater amount of fear quickly replaces it. We did end up telling our families about the pregnancy, which I was relieved about but also in a way it made me more nervous. But if we have another miscarriage I would tell them about that, so why not let them share in this time of joy, no matter how brief it could turn out to be? I figured the positive energy from everyone could only help, and miracle of miracles, my mother in law hasn’t started annoying me yet

@funkykey First, I can’t believe you are already on stim day 8, but that’s so great! I really hope that your ER goes well; are you happy with the number of follies you’re seeing? FX for so much success! Will you be doing a FET next cycle?
Second, I’m so sorry to hear that your zen has been shattered. Our peacefulness during this whole process is so fragile. I have a similar situation with a friend (although she has not announced a new BFP), but I can only imagine how much harder this would be when it’s your own sister. And of course it’s doubly hard because youre happy for her but oh so sad for yourself. I always feel like a complete jerk when I’m sulking over someone else’s pregnancy (not that you’re necessarily sulking—really I just mean those conflicting feelings of happiness and sadness). I do remember your sister’s first and I can’t believe we’re still here talking about a second. Time stands still and goes by so quickly at the same time. I know how you feel about life passing you by. I’ve tried to focus on “living in the moment,” but really I’m trying to get through days until my next shot or my next appointment, etc. This standing still thing—even when you’re making progress with ART—sucks. A lot. Enough rambling—so many hugs. (PS I’m mobile and pretty sure I inserted a heart in a random place above, accidentally.)
@mirabelle33 NEXT WEEK!! Hooray!!!
@BWhitta I felt such relief to read your message. I have a really good feeling, and I can’t wait to see what your RE says tomorrow! Good luck!!
AFM My meds came yesterday and I start my Lupron tonight. Once AF arrives next week, we’ll start adding in estrogen, looking for a FET around the end of the month. I’d say you have no idea how happy I am to start shots again, but I’m sure you all know. How strange is that? To be looking forward to nightly shots because it means you’re doikg something.

1. Been TTC since July 2017
2. Progesterone and HSG exams have all looked normal for me. DH's morphology is 1%.
3. Current plan is to see a urologist on Friday. My OBGYN doesn't consider the 1% morphology a red flag yet so that's why he's referred us to a urologist. Hopefully we get some good news or a hopeful plan of action.
This is for our first child so of course I'm feeling impatient. We're both ready to just move straight towards IUI or IVF if that's what will give us the best chance. I don't think I can be patient enough to go through trying to improve DH's numbers and quality over the next few months.
