After months of meat aversions I want all the meat (but not chicken). Had homemade ribs last night at my parent’s house, and then I cooked steaks for dinner tonight. With a big pile of broccoli on the side. So so good.
Also, I am eating a grapefruit a day. Grapefruit was very popular during my first pregnancy too.
I've been craving beef. I'm thinking it's due to the increase blood/need for iron. I indulged in flank steak, baked potato and glazed carrots this evening. SO good!

My aversions are for most foods. Ill crave something and by the time it gets to my mouth I cant stomach it. Food just kind of rolls around in my mouth. Its dreadful. Hoping to get some sort of an appetite back soon.
We went to the county fair today and I had an onion blossom, home made potato chips, and lemonade. #dinnerofchampions oh and I had some frozen grapes cause I was feeling guilty for not having and fruit lol
@Sparkylove I crave pop in general, so I drink a LOOOOT of flavored Perrier as an alternative. That said I have had an aversion to both and I am just starting to drink them both again. I let myself have a little caffeine and sugar if I want it.
As for me, I am heavily (very heavily) into buffalo chicken dip and my kids' unicorn cereal (it's basically fancy fruit loops), fruit cups and yogurt!
I’ve been casually having a latte whenever I want (but no more than one a day). All this talk about avoiding caffeine is worrying me though. Is it best to avoid altogether, even if we’re “allowed” up to 200mg daily? I’m not craving it, just like to join other people when they have one too. I’ve also been pretty lax about avoiding soft cheeses, raw eggs etc. Like I won’t deliberately have it, but if it’s in what I’m already eating, I don’t avoid it. For example, if I’m sharing a dish with other people, or if I make myself a fried egg and it turns out it’s still a little runny. Just worrying maybe I’m a bit too relaxed. I also had waaay too much fish while in Maui before I realized that might be bad, eep
@navete I have a latte every morning. I did switch from a double to a single so I have more wiggle room if I want a soda or chocolate or something later in the day, but even a double latte is less than 200mg. And I’ve been pretty lax about cheese, fish, eggs, etc. I figure I don’t eat anywhere that is questionable about how they handle their food so I should be fine. If I did eat some where new or less reputable I might avoid it.

I seem to have aversions to anything I ate a lot of pre & early pregnancy. Now I can't get enough carbs! Nothing ever sounds good, but I can always do pizza / pasta and be super satisfied. I miss coffee, but my husband gives me such a hard time about it

@navete I’m with you on being pretty lax, maybe too lax on the forbidden foods. I eat soft cheese, raw fish (“I’m in Hawai’i so it’s fresh” is my rationale), accidentally ate a hot dog before remembering that’s on the no-no list. Just yesterday my body rejected sushi with raw fish as soon as I put it in my mouth so I guess those days are over for now...
I’m finally back to craving salads and fresh fruit after weeks of crazy unhealthy eating & fast weight gain. The craving this week is papaya filled with yogurt and granola. So refreshing.
@9ebab6 I may have eaten half a bag of kettle corn from a county fair on Sunday, in addition to French fries and a milkshake. I ordered chicken because I felt guilty for no protein
Chips and Salsa have been a go for me. I had some store bought guac and it was amazing saturday. not wanting the freshmade which is funny bc i am normally a Chipotle Guac fiend..but it doesn't even sound good. haven't been as picky as before, but craving pasta and now they have been showing the Endless Shrimp at Red Lobster and im positive im gonna end up there before the week is out. i can taste the Shrimp Scampi now...yum!
I'm trying to get back into eating salads again because my vegetable intake has been pathetic. I just made a kale salad with farro, cranberries, pecans, goat cheese, and a pomegranate molasses vinegarette and, even though I'm not a big kale person, it was awesome.
@zionsmama85 I was craving red lobster a few weeks ago and ended up going with my parents. Even though it was during the height of my food aversions, the biscuits and shrimp made me so happy!
I'm still having a lot of aversions/most things sound horrible, most of the time. I will always eat my homemade whole wheat sweet potato pancakes with cookie butter on top or a boiled egg, but merely the thought of most things makes me nauseated. It makes meal planning and cooking dinner for the rest of the family really difficult.
Yesterday I couldn't keep anything down except popsicles and soup. Today I wanted all the food, so I took advantage and had a giant blueberry muffin for breakfast, panera for lunch, and am about to pick what kind of delicious takeout to have for dinner, since who knows what tomorrow will bring. May as well indulge while my stomach actually wants food!
I craved green curry twice this week...and was sorely disappointed when it wasn’t spicy enough. Meanwhile MH’s mouth was on fire Usually I’m the one who likes my meals on the mild side
@navete I have been craving spicy as well. Last week I just had to have the spiciest salsa I could find and then complained that the “hot” wasn’t hot enough!
I'm still in the stage where a lot of food seems gross so I've been living off a lot of carby, junky, easy to eat things. Granola bars, crackers, popsicles, etc. Some days I do a little better and eat real food, but last night my whole dinner was home fries with ketchup. That was a bit of a low point, haha. Once I feel better I'm gonna have to eat basically just vegetables to make up for my whole first trimester!

Mostly I’m just thirsty ALL the time. Lots of sparkling water, watered down OJ, lemonade, anything to keep this dehydrated feeling at bay.
Oh pregnancy, how you keep us on our toes...
