Flame Free Friday - Let's do it!

I have about 25 minutes until lunchtime and am totally going to pig out at the new pizza place that just opened up next door to my work!

  • @mdmommymegs, I've pretty much been living on pizza for the last two weeks.  Not even gonna feel guilty!

@lovelybabybumpz, she probably loved the texture!  That's like me right now... I put my kid in a timeout and he hasn't tried to come out of his room yet so I haven't told him the timeout is over cause I need the quiet .

@thatbaintforbetty, oh my gosh, I have to get DH to make mac and cheese this weekend.  That sounds amazing.  I would totally just go for the food too!

I am very jealous of your coffee.   PHOTOS of coffee make me gaggy.

I have switched to pounding iced tea and Arnold Palmers.

  • I'm currently eating a turkey sub as i write this immediately following my doctor's apt. She said "limit fish and only pasteurized cheeses" so I'm taking her ommission as a freebie today.
  • @MRDCle same. I had to "fake" drink last weekend, though, and just putting my lips to the glass and smelling the wine made me sick.

  • @BarefootContessa oh yeah DEF not right now. Even if I wanted to yeah the thought/smell of alcohol is very unappealing to me at the moment.

  • I made cookies today and totally ate some raw cookie dough.

  • I made pork loin the other night, then hid the leftovers on the fridge from DH. There was o my enough left for 1 sandwich and it was delicious lol

DS has watched way too much Mickey Mouse Clubhouse this week becaue a) I’m tired and fell crappy 90% the time and b) he’s having some seperation anxiety from DD (she started full day kindergarten this year) so anything to keep him from having a meltdown tantrum. He literally cries for the first hour we’re home after dropping her off :(

  • @roo1381 I had a turkey sandwich at a work event last week, even though there was a suitable non lunch meat alternative. But the turkey club sounded good and by the time I thought of it, I had already taken a bite and it was too late to go back and swap it. I grabbed seconds for later (on the way out) though, and I chose the chicken breast.

  • @mdmommymegs there is absolutely nothing flame-worthy about eating pizza.  I eat it (and post about it here) every single chance I get!

My confession is that H has been away for work for a couple of days and I have been letting our son sleep in our bed because I am just too damn tired to fight him into his crib and then get woken up every hour following.  I suck and usually bring him in by the middle of the night anyway, but we're barely even making it into the crib at this point.  Nothing like reinforcing bad habits!

  • I'm gonna put this in here because I'm doing it despite the fact that I will absolutely feel guilty about it.

I'm gonna go grocery shopping after work instead of going straight to DC to pick up DS. The idea of taking him to the store tonight is so absolutely exhausting that I just can't do it.  He has me all weekend after that so hopefully it won't scar him too bad, ha.

  • @lovelybabybumpz people who say they don’t like drama are the ones who create it in the first place. Everyone enjoys watching a dumpster fire! We had sooooo many in my last BMB. I can’t wait for the juicy shit to come out!
  • I hired a sleep consultant because my sons sleep sucks!  And I'm tired and obv pregnant and I need help figuring it out.

  • @MRDCle I wanted that glass of wine last night. I settled for the largest salted caramel mocha with whipped cream I could get at Starbucks today. And then let DD taste it.

Caffeine schmaffeine. I deserved it. Also I’m pretty sure evens out over the course of a week of no caf.
  • @MRDCle I drank a little of my husband’s wine the other night. Once im in second and third trimester I’ll buy the 4-packs of single serving wine. I did this during my first pregnancy too. Once a week I’d pull out a single serving bottle, pour myself a half glass (donate rest to husband), take a bath and watch TV. It was my favorite part of the week.

@roo1381 I had half a turkey sandwich today. I was at a 5 hour faculty meeting and it was literally the only option for lunch. Oh well. youre still more likely to get sick from fresh greens.
  • Btw. My FFFC today is that I’m secretly really, really glad my kiddo didn’t nap today at school. It means I can get him to bed really early. Which means I can get me to bed really early. Yesssss
  • I’ve been really, really unproductive at work for the past month and product management just pulled a deadline forward by a month, and now I have to work all weekend

So far, best $75 I've ever spent.  My son is a great independent sleeper, he just like to wake up at 5am and I'm exhausted.

Also, I didn't tell my husband

@molecularmolly nothing wrong with celebrating baby! They all deserve to be celebrated and showered with Love!
I've had 2 showers and a sprinkle and I will have a something with this one as well as most of our friends and family know we have donated and passed along most of your baby items. Plus I think its rude to tell someone who wants to throw you a shower No. I find in my circles people want to celebrate the little ones especially now that most of your littles have grown up so much!
  • I have been craving sushi since the day I found out I was pregnant and read a bunch of articles today saying Japanese ladies don’t stop eating it while pregnant and they’re fine, so this week I’m gonna go for it!
  • @suchagoodone as long as it’s a really reputable source, you’re probably fine. The recommendations for pregnancy drive me crazy. They’re not evidence based and they’re infantilizing.
