Symptoms? Mooooooooody, moody, moody. Also this weekend my breasts started getting really red on the bottom half of them. No lumps or pain or anything, & it's happening to both - so I'm not too worried. It happened both times when I didn't wear a bra all day, so I wonder if it's just too much pressure on the bottom half? Will bring it up at my next appt.
Upcoming appointments? US & 20 week check next Friday 9/14. I'm soooo excited to see our baby girl.

Heartburn that my Zantac is no longer working for and my dosage is maxed so I'll be talking to my OB tomorrow.
OB check up tomorrow and then A/S next Wednesday.
Lots of musicals, we're starting to dabble into more live action ones like The Newsies and Mama Mia and I'm SO excited. We watch a lot of the classic Disney movies too @kianarain but I forgot some of the horrible racist and sexist messages in them so there's a lot of discussions and teaching moments during them.
@ladystout08 I watched Pocahontas the other day and was appalled for those exact reasons! "savages, savages, barely even human"..... WTAF? At least the white guys look like the a-holes but like you said, so many teaching moments.
@kianarain I haven't even broached Pocohantas yet because the entire story is so white washed it kills me but we watched Peter Pan and they called Indians a racial slur and I paused it and explained it why it's not ok to use. We'll probably watch Dumbo soon and we'll have to discuss the ableism in it. Some people probably think I'm over reacting but I know it's working because he'll point it out when something we've talked about happens (i.e. - calling someone dumb).
I think being tired is a constant state from here on out at this point.

Does anyone get bump growing pains? I swear it's like I can tell when she(and I) go through a spurt because my bump hurts and the muscles feel like they're stretching. It feels like the day after a workout when your muscles are tired and sore.
I also remember feeling a lot of growing pains one week when I was mid-pregnancy with DS, and comparing my weekly bump photos showed a ton of belly growth. It was crazy.
Married: May 2012 DS1: May 2016 DS2: Jan 2019 Baby #3 EDD: 6/18/24
I feel a little better now. It's such an odd feeling and I don't remember it at all with DS. Then again that pregnancy was a breeze up until the end and this one is.....not. lol
Symptoms? I'm terrified to say this, but the nausea is easing a bit finally. The heartburn and acid reflux have significantly upped their games in a big way though, which is still making me pukey. Back aches a lot, so I probably need to suck it up and wear a support belt.

R/R/Q: It's a boy! He's measuring a week ahead already and belly 2 weeks ahead. Hopefully his growth doesn't keep increasing like this or he will be pretty big.
I'm going to try to talk my Endo into prescribing a CGM. I've gotten better at preventing the severe lows, but I'm also not feeling the ones I do get as quickly anymore. It makes me nervous to be at risk for passing out from low blood sugar since I spend a lot of time just me and DD.
GTKY: What's one movie from your childhood that you make sure your kid(s) watch? I don't really have anything that I think she needs to see.
@saltedcaramel518 I am in the same boat! I know I need to buy new bras but I am too nervous. I can’t wear certain dresses at works because I am stuck wearing sports bras because I know they are stretching.
Also for the ladies worried about gaining too much already. I am a dietitian and we were always trained that normal BMI it was normal to gain 2-4 pounds first trimester and about a pound a week after that. I also just read in the Mayoclinic guide that buy week 20 it is normal to gain 10lbs. I am paranoid about weight gain because of being a dietitian so being reassured that my 10lb gain is normal really helped. I also know I am constipated and that doesn’t help with the scale.
EDD: 1/23
Symptoms: constipation, peeing every hour, bloated...

Rant: I am paranoid right now because I was at a conference today and all they had were Deli Sandwiches so I caved and ate one... I have been heating up the meat but today i didn’t have an option.
Movie: The Little Rascals from the 90s. It was my all time favorite movie and when my husband started quoting it randomly one day I knew he was the right man for me. I also am naming her Eloise because i always adored those books and the older name and there was two TV movies made, so I can’t wait to watch them with her.

R/R/Q: Since others are talking about weight gain.... I gained 3-4 lbs on vacation right before finding out I was pregnant, so never got the chance to lose it! Sometimes I wish I would have waited to take a test so I could do my normal post vacation diet- but then again that wouldn’t have been good for baby :-)
I’ve gained another 10 lbs at 20 weeks- so I consider it 14 lb gain although technically I guess just 10! With DD1 I probably gained 15 lbs by 20 weeks.
GTKY: What's one movie from your childhood that you make sure your kid(s) watch?
DD1 has probably watched my favorite movies already, I loved Beauty and the Beast and Little Mermaid but watching them again as an adult there are so many bad messages in them like others have said!!!! I’m trying to watch more female empowered movies; at least newer movies have better messages. We love Moana!
Symptoms? +1 to peeing all the time. Also heart burn.
Upcoming appointments? Just had my anatomy scan today. I will go back for growth scans at 28 and 32 weeks because no one is really sure whether a c or v birth is better for me after my freakishly rare uterine inversion with DD. If Baby is bigger than DD then probably i will have a c. If not, then a second v birth may be better.
R/R/Q: I am really tired of talking about DDs birth with doctors who are not the doctor who delivered E. They all fixate on how rare/traumatic the birth was and want to know my delivery plans, but then acknowledge they dont know all the details and can't give definitive advice. I've talked about this with my regular ob (one who delivered DD) a million times in the past 3. 5 years. Ive thought about pros and cons of a 2nd baby every day since that birth. Honestly, at this point I don't think anyone can have a better plan than me and my regular doc. Just tired of being a medical novelty.
GTKY: What's one movie from your childhood that you make sure your kid(s) watch?
(With DD) We have tried lady and the tramp, but it was not a success. She did like snow white tho! Most of the movies i watched when i was little are probably too sad or non-pc (dunno and bambi, for example).
Im looking forward to elementary school age and showing her Harry Potter and Star Wars.
RE: weight gain, I hate the whole BMI thing and I think I griped about this last week. I'm considered obese by BMI but really I'm 5'4" and compete in powerlifting so I have a good bit of muscle. Between that and the constant rotation of pregnant/loss/fertility treatment stuff I added a few pounds and my starting weight was higher than my normal walking weight. My doctor assures me that my weight gain is normal and not to worry about the labels but it's really hard not to. I watch my weight routinely for a sport so it messes with my head.

Yeah. I'm at... more than that... I'm hoping to just kinda plateau soon? As long as that doesn't freak the doctors out or anything. My jeans are honestly fitting looser than a couple weeks ago though, so I also think that it's mostly in bump and boobs, so *shrug*.
probably I just need to step away from the scale.

Nooooo. I did Harry Potter some from Day 1, but then I backed off when DD was a little older and seemed to be understanding things a bit more! And now she's dealing with nightmares some nights, so definitely not doing them for now. But I'm sure they won't be gone for too long...

@mtengl and so much yes to the constipation part. I've been struggling there so hard this whole pregnancy, and I don't think it's helping the scale AT ALL.

Conversely, I haven't gained weight yet, but my baby is measuring at 98% and I expect to get a disapproving talk from my OB. Weight gain during pregnancy is weird.
I agree BMI isn’t the best standard because it doesn’t account for muscle mass or being naturally curvy. It really is just a guide. I have gained 12 pounds since I became pregnant and I just hit 20 weeks so I am even over the “10 is normal thing” but I feel like it is all boobs and belly. I also have known people who gain more weight because of extra fluid. I am going to try to stick with in between 25-35lb gain but I have a feeling it will be closer to 35lb.
@MrsDho11 I just started Metamucil on Monday and it has already stated helping out sooooo much. I have taken it in the past when I was dealing with IBS and it was on the safe list. I am just doing the 1tbsp a day dose before dinner.
@mtengl yes. I need to get better about taking that again. My OB said it was fine (in addition to colace), and it helped and then I stopped remembering to take it...
