    @kristah2
No, not the first time I had reflux but this was so bad that I actually had to throw up.  :/ I went all through this pregnancy without having to throw up - so yey "milestone"? ;)

Also, building a gingerbread house was one of my favourites too! I don't think it was a "date", per say. We were just spending Christmas together. But we have a picture of us with our "house" and I love it. i keep telling him I want to build another but I don't think it was as much fun for him  :D I will just have to wait for the kiddo to grow up a bit to do artsy things  :D

  • @texas_t
That's awesome that the nursery is painted! Ours is too, but we have to wait another full month until the crib comes, so it's just sitting empty for now.. I should seriously look for a chair and a little table..
Re: stairs. Yesterday I became winded just going up the stairs at my house. Mind you, I was carrying a heavy bag, but I was huffing and puffing so much that DH asked me if I was okay  :D

  • @ab_canada Your mosquito story makes me laugh because on our hiking date, we ran up and down for a good mile to escape swarms of mosquitos!!!! I can't believe y'all just had to walk through them!

  • @kristah2 Can you remind us what your new job is? A week and a half break sounds nice!

  • @texas_t sure! I just took a job with the federal government (in Canada). Better pay and benefits of course. But I'm taking a week and a half off now because where I'm starting a new job I won't really be able to take a couple weeks off before baby comes so I'm hoping to get some of my to-do list taken care of during my days off!
  • @kristah2 Congratulations! The good thing about taking time off now is that you're probably more mobile at this point, lol!

  • @Jens_Hoes How long have you been together?
I feel we are pretty lame, too. The only reason we've had many memorable dates is because for the first 5 years of our relationship we lived in different cities, so we made sure to plan something and go somewhere for dates. Now that we've been living together for 5+ years, we don't do as much. But we really enjoyed the "planned" things and still do that every once in a while. I also make sure to toast to our "date" any time we go out for dinner with just the two of us :) I think it's nice to be reminded that going out on a date can happen even when you're married.

  • @ab_canada 8 years this Halloween, married 4 years next may.
the only really memorable thing is the way he proposed, and I didn't know if that counted lol
  • How far along are you? How big is baby?

    27 weeks!  He's big.

How are you feeling this week?

Pretty good despite still being stuck in the hospital.  Lots of movement which is always comforting.

    Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?

Not really.  It's been relatively calm which is nice.  Despite the seemingly constant IV changes.  Just waiting on next week when I get to be reassessed and potentially get to go home.

GTKY: What was your favorite/most memorable date with your partner?

I would say pretty much the entire first 9 months we started dating were just lovely.  We were both still in our Master's program and living in Lexington, just a 10 minute bike ride or <5 minute drive away from each other.  We had pretty much no responsibilities other than school, and we could do whatever we wanted on the weekends, as long as it was cheap since we were poor grad students.  We made dinner together all the time, and went out to eat when we could afford it.  We went hiking in the various state parks in central KY and canoeing in the Kentucky River all the time.  I would go down to UK's research forest, where H's field work for his thesis was based, and help him collect salamanders (lol) for a day or two.  We generally just spent every minute we possibly could together for 9 months.  We were also in that just-started-dating phase where we still made each other a little nervous (in a good way) which made the whole 9 months just kind of dreamy.  It was awesome.

  • @jens_hoes Of course that counts! Let's hear that story! Or should we start a separate GTKY for that? It would actually be pretty cool to hear..

  • @texas_t lol! well, we feel silly that we are all excited and set on what we want, but then realized how stupid it is to buy one & let 6 months of warranty go by while it sits in the garage over the Nebraska snowy winter :D

27 weeks 3 days - bowling ball? Lol I just made that up but that’s what I look like - a 10 pounder!

How are you feeling this week?
It’s been stupid hot here - come on Ohio!! So my feet have been swelling very easily. Some Braxton Hicks here and there still and a little tired. Overall okay.

    Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?
We are puppy sitting my SIL’s 6 month black lab pup who we were told was house broken. Not sure how accurate that is - several accidents the first two days. Hope it gets better. My dog is 10 and so well behaved DH thought the fur niece would be the same ... he had his expectations way too high. Lol. She had me up almost every hour last night - let’s hope I get better sleep tonight.

GTKY: What was your favorite/most memorable date with your partner?
Our first date - he planned the whole thing and it was a surprise. We had met a few times prior to dating but it was more professional. Then a couple months later I started texting him and we texted/flirted for a couple weeks before he asked me out. I had never had a guy plan a surprise date before let alone the first date and type A me was a train wreck leading up to the date. He showed up with a dozen red roses! Took me to the county fair (which is special to me because I was involved in 4-H growing up). It was so sweet and perfect and I knew he thought I was special.
  • @mag1cbeli3ver We painted it a really light mint green! fX for you glucose screen results! I checked the portal every 5 minutes for mine  :dizzy:

@countrygirl624 man, I don't think I ever want a puppy again! So. Much. Work!

  • @texas_t I know right ... literally a month ago DH was like we should get a puppy. I’m like a puppy and a newborn? You’re insane!! At least kids wear diapers and can’t ninja out of their cribs when they’re still little!!
