@hottietoddy You basically explained why I formula feed (although I have mild OCD and associated anxiety rather than mania). Happy and healthy mom = happy and healthy baby. I've never regretted making that choice and 'm glad you feel confidant in making your own choice!
@lablover78 Congrats!! Enjoy those first few days and weeks! It goes by SOOOOO fast!
And for the record, I'm glad I'm not the only one who needed anti-nausea meds while prepping for c-section. Haha, I had never felt anything like that before -- and I am an anxious person! I thought I was going to either pass out or vomit all over everyone. I have no idea if it was all the meds I had been on for the pre-eclampsia and then induction, but it was super intense! We were just waiting for them to wheel me over to the c-section room (OR?) and I was like, "OK, I feel like I'm going to throw up" - and my husband raced down the hall to the nurse's station to get my nurse and medicine!
I actually think I sorta blanked out in the c/section because I really don't remember the moment of her birth -- I have a vague recollection of them holding up a very slimy baby - but I can't remember her crying or what anyone said. Oh well! I did it all for the baby, not for the experience of her birth

@lablover78 he is absolutely adorable. Love that dimple and I’m so glad your induction turned c-section went smoothly. Sending good vibes for easy healing and time with your little man.
@hottietoddy I’ve been thinking of you. So sorry to hear you had to be rehospitalized. So scary I hope you are ok now and the meds will help equalize everything out soon. These hormones are a roller coaster and I can totally see how they can exacerbate just about anything. I second the whole pumping stinks thing. I’m on the pumping bandwagon for now and supplementing with formula due to low supply. I feel like I’m missing out on so much bonding time, I don’t think it could be a long term solution for us but want to be a good sport until next Wednesday. We are going to see an ENT specialist for a lip and possible toungue tie.

They told me at my scan that baby was estimated at 7,6 already! (With the caveat about +/- a pound) and then would put on another half lb to a lb by the time they are born! So this baby is expected to be anywhere from 7,6 to... 9,6???? Lol. Sounds good to me. ;)
39 weeks today... SIL and MIL are coming at some point today to help us get the house ready, and DH has got a brisket in the crock pot. Yummmm. Wish us luck! I'm hoping to finally get our prints and CD shelves mounted in the nursery, plus laundry marathon part deux: The Diapers, (did four loads yesterday after work! Phew!) As well as the bookshelf assembled so I have a place to get things organized (and off the dining room table lol), pack and play set up downstairs etc. Etc.
One of the first steps tho are hospital bags, and stashing my secret overtly gendered baby items so no one catches wind we maybe know too much... ;)
