Instead of going to work out yesterday like I told my husband I was going to do (which I had planned on doing), I ended up going to the mall with my friend and buying Owen $90 worth of baby clothes from Baby Gap ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'm not looking forward for to my leftovers for lunch and am already contemplating just ditching them and getting a burrito or veggie burger for lunch lol. It's 9:15am.
My MIL wants to go to the rodeo for her birthday, and since it starts at 8 and is an hour away, DD can't go (her bedtime is 7/8). I am OVERJOYED that my DH will be out late with his family while I get to sit at home after she's asleep and watch what I want on tv without having to listen to him.
I am purposely not doing work for another department head at my company today because he was being snippy and when I snipped back he said "ugh pregnancy hormones".

This is seriously not ok. That is harassment and pregnancy discrimination. If you wanted to make a stink you COULD.
Confession: I bought 10 pairs of shoes last week. I know that sounds totally crazy. I found a good deal online (eBay) though and figured I'd end up returning at least half. Only three of the pairs are definitely keepers. I sold one on Poshmark for a (small) profit and listed the rest. It's cheaper than paying to return them!
@Jens_Hoes@binxybaby you both are totally right and while it doesn't excuse his dumbass remark, we are acquaintances outside of work so he speaks more freely with me than he would others and vice versa. Me personally punishing him is satisfying enough.
I just bought two dresses, a top and a pair of leggings from Motherhood online because they were an extra 40% the sale price! I know that probably doesn't sound too crazy to others, but I've actually NEVER bought clothes online before..
I will try to address the pumpkin spice love. I don't go gaga over the flavor of pumpkin spice stuff, but for me it's more about the transition from summer to fall, and PSL's/pumpkin-spiced errthang is a tangible symbol of that. It's still going to be hot down here for a long time, but I can at least pretend it's sweater season! In any case, I have a bomb recipe for pumpkin pancakes that I'm going to make tomorrow morning, and an equally-bomb recipe for savory butternut squash/pumpkin fritters that I may make for dinner. EMBRACE THE SEASON.

I love pumpkin flavored baked goods and the smell of pumpkin, but I’m also not a PSL fan.
Also, I may get flamed for this, But I am not a big Starbucks fan. I think it is overpriced. I can get the exact same drink from Dunkin’ Donuts and it is larger and cheaper. That’s not to say that I would turn down Starbucks, I just don’t understand the hype.
@katy0990 agree, I don't like Starbucks. I think their coffee is burnt and their other drinks (psl) are too syrupy. I don't like dd either, though. I think their coffee tastes like green beans!
Just ordered myself some frivolous things off my own registry. To be fair, one was a super cute toy that had a notice that it was getting discontinued. And then I thought maybe I should get at least one or two little preemie outfits, so I got two Burt's Bees sleepers because I'm a sucker.
@katy0990 and @morgantu UNTRUE!!! Dunkin Donuts iced coffee doesn't hold a candle to Sbux! As for hot coffee, dunkin is fine, but I honestly like 7-11 and McDonalds hot coffee, so.....
@PensiveCrayon Agree with all that you said. It's more of the smells & tangible symbolism of fall. If you're in the mood, the easiest muffins ever in life are to mix 1 can pumpkin with 1 box spice cake mix. Put in muffin tins and bake at 350 for 17-20 and BAM, 2 ingredient pumpkin muffins and the house smells like you've had a candle lit for days. Living in the Midwest means I get the actual cool off of weather in the fall. The excitement of football season & Halloween are in the air & I enjoy literally every minute of fall. If poopy diapers = fall I'd grow to love them too.. I think...
Another FFFC I vacuumed our main floor twice this week and DH didn’t say anything, so today when I vacuumed I didn’t sit on the furniture until after he got home so the vacuum lines would still be there. Now that I actually typed that, I feel petty.
@katy0990 That made me lol! I love the lines in the carpet after I vacuum and try not to walk on it for a while cause I’m a weirdo.
Starbucks IS overpriced and I wouldn’t get my everyday coffee there but I like it once in a while. I used to drink a huge DD coffee everyday and now that just sounds terrible. They put way too much sugar in and for some reason their coffee gives me the jitters like crazy. Wawa has the best coffee so I pity those who don’t live in Wawa territory I do like the PSL but the pumpkin spice everything craze has gone a little over the top. I don’t need pumpkin spice Cheerios. But I will eat a pumpkin muffin or something. Yum.
Oh give me a pumpkin muffin any day! I just think PSLs are gross, and it's crazy how much pumpkin spice stuff there is. I definitely don't mind them releasing it all early though... it's going to be hot here in CA for a while, and it does give me a light at the end of this very hot tunnel. I 90% hate summer.
I agree about Starbucks, it's not my fav. Unfortunately we don't have very many DD here so I think I've had it once and it was meh. I'm a Coffee Bean and Tea leaf for life girl!
Former west coast girl here. I grew up on Starbucks. I don’t love it but it’s consistent and better than most places. Peet’s is sometimes good but less consistent. But really, I like to make my own french press coffee because it tastes better.
My FFC: Flame away, but don’t understand all the love for DD coffee. Or for Tim Horton’s. I love coffee, but I’d go without if those were the only alternatives.

If only we worked for the same company...
In all seriousness though, she's right. That's not okay.
