Any appointments? Yes! First, I went and visited what I thought was the B-choice hospital near me and I wound up really loving it. In addition to having a general L & D philosophy I agree with and a level-3 NICU, every single room in the maternity ward is private, which is an undeniable perk. I'm touring the A-choice this Wednesday, but I think both will wind up as legitimate options, which is nice. Liking this hospital opened up a whole 'nother crop of doctors, thankfully: not many people in my area take my insurance, which is wildly frustrating. But I found someone who does and comes highly recommended and will see me this Thursday! It's pretty insane. My husband and I are really excited to see what's going on with this LO.
Questions? None right now!
How are you feeling? Good! Crazy dreams are still here. Hormones are still raging (I keep catching myself trying to pick a fight with my husband for no reason... and then I do it anyway). Nausea was worse the first few weeks - now, it's really only if I don't eat for a long stretch or if I lay on my back to do floor exercises. I am tired, but it's not too bad. Some PGAL anxiety is starting to creep in, but I'm trying to take it in stride.
What is your our least favorite chore? Tie here. First: laundry. It is never done, and that is so annoying! But also mopping. It is SO time consuming, and the second the mop touches the floor, my dogs trek right through my clean area. But when I'm finished mopping, I love how clean the house feels - so I guess laundry wins this one because it never gives me the same sense of satisfaction.
@ashtuesday yayyy that's all super exciting! and I feel ya in pgal brain. I'm not technically pgal this pregnancy but definitely still have the anxiety creeping in once in a while.
due date: 4/15 appts: none so far. I am calling my MW today. I was waiting til I hit 7 weeks to call bc making it to 7 weeks is a big deal for me in pregnancy. didn't want to set an appt and have to cancel 3 days later like I have in the past. how are you feeling: pretty nauseous and not complaining one bit! It hit me hard yesterday and I pretty much told everyone I knew how excited I was to finally feel terrible lol. overall I think the anxiety I was feeling has calmed down quite a bit having hit 7 weeks (as I mentioned before 7 weeks is a milestone for me) and I've also been going through a book that deals with grieving miscarriage, stillbirth, & infant loss which has been really healing in clearing out the bits of junk I didn't realize were still there until I got pregnant again. least fave chore: laundry is definitely a contender but my all time least favorite chore is dishes!!! It never stops, there's always a pile no matter how many times a day you wash them, the bits of food is gross, and now thanks to my pregnant nose, the smells make me want to gag. Thankfully my hubs has been really great about taking over those duties for me this past week. I am not complaining nor do I plan to feign guilt on the matter lol
Due date: 4/15 - babe is a blueberry/coffee bean today
Any appointments? 9/10 grumble grumble. I feel like I've been waiting forever.
Questions? Newp.
How are you feeling? Depends on the day. Saturday between nausea and exhaustion I could barely get out of bed. I took more than one nap, (one was over two hours, eek), and then yesterday I had the energy to take my son to Dave and Busters, clean the house, and go on a 3 mile walk/hike with one of our dogs. I'm feeling it today though - just hard to not push myself hard when I feel awesome.
What is your our least favorite chore? Doing the freaking dishes. I have never lived somewhere with a damn dishwasher, and holy crap I abhor doing the dishes. They're non-stop. And I think DH has done them maybe once in the past year? I always feel dirty after I do them, I can't go to bed if there's a bunch (a couple dinner plates or glasses are fine if they're rinsed), so like, I HAVE to do them before I shower and get DS in bed. DH is a great cook and will happily do dinner if he's off work, but sometimes I will cook just because I clean up dishes as I go as opposed to him, who uses every possible dish and stacks them up to be washed after the meal is over.
@ashtuesday I like laundry though because I can do it while watching TV or chatting with DS/DH. @2babes3angels yesss you feel me on the dishes. They're just so awful.
@2babes3angels Yay for hitting 7 weeks! I know how important it is to hit those milestones, and I'm so happy for you! I'm also someone who had to read my way through my losses - while it isn't about pregnancy loss, I really recommend Blue Nights by Joan Didion if you haven't read it already. It's depressing, so fair warning, but I found so much of what she said resonated with me and helped me remember even the bad times are part of being a mother.
@MRDCle My husband is the same way! We have a dishwasher and he'll load it, but without pre-cleaning because "sponges are gross." So the plates come out just about as dirty as they went in, and I'm stuck doing it all anyway. Ugh!
@ashtuesday I haven't read it... I will have to check it out!!
@MRDCle I'm impressed that you've had energy at all!! WTG being super productive on those days! and It's all a balance so I wouldn't feel bad about the 2 naps in one day
Any appointments? WEDNESDAY is our first ultrasound!
Questions? I have a few questions for my RE regarding PIO and numbness around my hip. Everything I read says that it's common to nick a nerve but just need to run it past the doc.
How are you feeling? Food aversions and nausea are real.
What is your our least favorite chore? DISHES. And somehow I am always that one that unloads/loads the dishwasher.

How are you feeling? Last week was by far the worst. I was nauseous and vomiting all week, could barely keep anything down. Finally called the doctor on Friday so I could get something to help and I never heard back from the nurse that was supposed to call me back. Spoke with her this morning, she said they tried to contact me on Friday, but somehow I missed it. Anyway, prescription is at the pharmacy. Looking forward to a better week, hopefully. Thankfully, I had planned PTO during all of this so I didn't have to deal with work but I was unable to do anything, which was so frustrating. I usually like to take my days off to deep clean and take my DS on some fun excursions but all I could do was lay down and stare at my dirty house longing to move.
What is your our least favorite chore?MRDCle I'm right with you on the stupid dishes, lol! Thankfully DH likes to do them (I know, weird right?!?!) but he's working out of state for the next month so I have to do it all. Here's to one day having a house with a dishwasher. I actually have one that was given to me, but if I install it, I'll lose too much cabinet space (which is soooo limited already, but maybe its worth it? )
How are you feeling? Nauseous and exhausted. Why can't we get the first three months off of pregnancy too? I don't feel like that's too much to ask....
What is your our least favorite chore? Putting laundry up and emptying the dishwasher.
Any appointments? I have my 8 week ultrasound on sept 6 :-)
Questions? Is anyone else having spotting? (My dr is aware)
How are you feeling? Pretty horrible actually. With the amount of gas I have, Im surprised Im not floating away. My stomach is constantly churning and the nausea on top of it is just the cherry on top. And I have been spotting for almost a week. I had an ultrasound last week and baby was okay. The heartbeat was 132bpm. But not sure why Im still spotting!! And just to add to it, my toddler is refusing his naps. :-/
What is your our least favorite chore? Dishes! And folding laundry! Its never ending!
@MRDCle washing all of your dishes by hand is terrible! The only time I didn't have one was in college/grad school, and of course I ended up being the only person who ever did them. I have refused to go without one ever since! It is a horrible chore for sure. Due date: TBD
Any appointments? Next Tuesday - feels like I have been waiting forever!
Questions? None at the moment
How are you feeling? Still only slightly and intermittently nauseous, which is such a big change from last time that it worries me a little, but I read that breastfeeding can actually reduce morning sickness so maybe it's that - regardless now I'm really committed to getting my son to a year! Otherwise I am exhausted and really irritable, BUT I feel like the irritability could be somewhat circumstantial and just elevated because I have been busting my ass to plan for my son's (very late) baptism and accommodate a revolving door of house guests from my husband's side - the baptism was this weekend and our final guest leaves on Wednesday so I have a sneaking suspicion I'm not going to feel so bitchy after that's over.
What is your our least favorite chore? I'm not sure if this even counts, but I'm going to say picking up. I find it pretty easy to wipe things down, dust, do the floors, etc. when you don't have to get everything off of the floors and surfaces first. Every night before bed I try to go through the house and pick everything up, and I swear it takes longer every day. H is famous for leaving things around, and the aforementioned houseguests seem to be doing the same (who raised you that you think you should keep your things outside of the space you were given to stay in?), so it has been really excessive lately and it is the last thing I want to do at the end of the day when I am secret pregnant and exhausted!
@lbush109 - I don't have any spotting with this pregnancy (knock on wood), but I did with DD. I called the OB and they got me in that day to make sure tiny was doing well. I would call and ask for a day of appointment.
Any appointments? Friday! 7 weeks is a milestone for me (PGAL), and Friday should be right about 7 weeks. I'm nervous but hopeful about seeing that little dot and hearing a heartbeat.
Questions? No.
How are you feeling? On and off nauseated, it hit me hard this morning. I'm not super excited about teaching for 3 hours tomorrow morning while dealing with the nausea (2 classes back-to-back). But could be worse, since I haven't thrown up yet. Fingers crossed it stays that way. Otherwise mostly just exhausted. Yesterday I was basically useless, ended up taking a nap at like 4pm and did zero of the housework that needed doing. My poor husband was on cooking / laundry / childcare / yard work / dishes duty all by himself.
What is your our least favorite chore? Hands down, folding laundry. Also my husband's least favorite chore, and he doesn't mind leaving clean laundry in a pile indefinitely, so it always falls to me if I don't want it on the couch for the rest of our lives. When we were dating he used to just keep his clean laundry on his bed, then when he went to sleep he would move it to his desk chair, then back again to the bed when he woke up. I don't remember him ever using his closet.... That story makes him sound like a slob, which he's not overall, just when it comes to putting away laundry.
@2babes3angels 7 weeks is a milestone for me too, I think you're always pgal after it happens even once. I'm glad you made it through and are feeling better.
How are you feeling? Nauseous all day long, every day.
What is your our least favorite chore? Dishes. We even have a dishwasher and I still hate doing them.

Any appointments? My first us 9/4 and I’m counting the days.
Questions? My arms/hands are falling asleep much more often. I wonder if that’s a coincidence or related?
How are you feeling? Pretty crummy. But I’m okay with that. I worry more when I have a good day. I am nauseous most of the time, have pains about three hours after I eat big meals, and am exhausted.
What is your our least favorite chore? Folding clothes and litter box.
Any appointments? I had an appt last Fri at 6w1d but unfortunately too early to see anything but the sac. I had beta hcg draw today and another on wed. So much Pgal anxiety
Questions? None
How are you feeling? Like I want to puke all day ugh.
What is your least favorite chore? Definitely laundry, DH does 99% of it
Any appointments? Thurs 8/30 I have another vaginal ultrasound to check on the size of my subchorionic hemorrhage. Last week we found the heartbeat and baby is right on track!! Still can't believe it.
Questions? Nope
How are you feeling? Honestly fine, all the symptoms are like easy PMS. Mood swings, fatigue, nausea if I don't eat, and food aversions are stronger than cravings right now. Bloating, constipation (or the opposite), and feeling nauseous after I eat. It's fun!
What is your least favorite chore? Vacuuming, by a long shot. Dishes are really high up there, but my wife does them most days. Vacuuming is loud and I hate having to drag around a machine a re-plug it in everywhere I go. My old vacuum used to static shock me unexpectedly, the new one is a little better. Just horrible and if I ever get my hardwood floors, I will be sweeping them with a broom.
@Piccola1988 Thank you so much, I honestly didn't even know those existed! How do they handle pet hair? Our two pups tend to make things pretty hairy pretty quickly.
@sheepshepherdess it is life changing! We don't have any pets so I can't speak to that, but I think as long as it is kept charged it sucks stuff up pretty well. We actually have a robotic vacuum in addition to the cordless (not sure if that makes us smart or lazy) and those are supposed to be a huge help with pet hair, not to mention it doesn't get much easier than something that will automatically vacuum and sanitize your floors.
@sheepsherdess we're considering getting the Dyson Animal cordless soon - we currently have the Dyson Animal which is great for pethair - so I'm hoping the cordless does the job as well.
@gypsy9614 are you still cleaning the litter box? Because its advised against during pregnancy so you have a legit excuse not to do it for awhile

@2babes3angels what you said about being so happy to feel sick, and about bits left over to be worked through, I feel like this last week was exactly that for me, I don't really think about or miss not having a mom in my life, but all of a sudden, anxiety and grief I had already worked through all came back full force.
Due date: 04/15/19
Any appointments? Not yet, still too early
Questions? Not really
How are you feeling? More tired. And anxious over a genetic eye disease that affects blue eyed boys and makes them more or less blind at 6 months, nobody knows if I'm a carrier and my SO has blue eyes.
What is your least favorite chore? I hate vacuums. I will sweep the carpet all day but the vacuum. Nope. Also I hate dishwashers, the one in our unit is so crappy everything has to be washed with soap prior and just rinsed/sanitized in the washer and it leaks all over the floor and I get angry everytime. Lol.
Any appointments? No prenatal appointments until September 26. Trying very hard to be patient (patience is not my strong suit). I did have an appointment last week with a sleep doctor -- I recently did a home sleep study and we went over the results. I have severe obstructive sleep apnea... stopped breathing on average 34 times an hour and my oxygen levels went as low as 75% (that was the recorded low, my average for the night was still in the 90's). Glad we're getting this all figured out at the beginning of the pregnancy so I can sleep better and get plenty of oxygen to the baby!
Questions? None that I can think of.
How are you feeling? Exhausted. I'm just so tired all the time. I'm also definitely having more morning sickness than I did with my first pregnancy (I barely had any symptoms with that one), but even that hasn't been horrible. Considering my first prenatal appointment seems like forever away, I'm thankful for any symptoms because they give me some peace of mind that things are progressing as they should.
What is your our least favorite chore? Dishes. I hate doing dishes. And, of course, my dishwasher kicked the bucket earlier this month. Yay. A new one isn't on our priority list at the moment because I'm fully capable of doing them by hand... I just don't wanna.
@ShallowSeas you better believe my hubby read up on it. Since they’re indoor cats and have been mine since they were kittens, it’s marked as safe. I tried to get out of it!

Any appointments? On Monday!! Can't wait to get to see if there's a heartbeat +get past the stage when I last had a MC.
Questions? I need more ideas for what to eat! Everything makes me feel nauseous and major food aversions. What are you guys eating?
How are you feeling? Dealing with food a versions and nausea, constipation and this morning my pelvis was hurting slightly.
What is your our least favorite chore? I'm with you @sheepshepherdess I hate vacuuming too. I normally hide in the other room when DH vacuums. We used to have carpets but now it's all wood flooring at home. Sweeping works for large stuff but we still need to vacuum for dust.
@mama_swede I've found that cold stuff is usually easier to get down (salads, fruit, raw veggies with dip). If you're struggling with things like chicken sometimes breading and pan frying cutlets does the trick, as does slightly over-cooking chicken/steak/etc. because it makes it harder to notice those little chewy bits that are likely to make us all gaggy. Turning things into sandwiches or wraps helps since the bread can be a big help. Crockpots/pressure cookers/instant pots are good too because they generally cook off the fat and yuck. When all else fails there's always saltines, ginger ale, and my all time favorite morning sickness food...pizza.
@mamma_swede For a few days I lived off of nibbling on Chex (dry) and corn chips with occasional nuts and cheese sticks, and a Reed's Ginger brew a day, plus lots of candied ginger. Between acupressure and Unisom/B6 I'm feeling pretty good nausea/vomiting wise now if I don't push it (and still listen to what I think sounds good, and just eat a small amount at a time; what counts as a "small" amount for me is much smaller than I imagined, I think that realization has helped a lot, though psychologically I just want to eat regular meals!! I have food scarcity issues and this has been pushing my buttons)
Any appointments? 09/23 First Prenatal with Homebirth midwife
Questions?
How are you feeling? Better than last week nausea/vomiting wise (I've figured out a system that works for me... Mostly, still have a lot of trouble in the late afternoon/evening). I'm having a lot more mood swings and anxiety this week though (and am in the process of stopping some psych meds with my Dr... Could be a bad call?). My boobs have started hurting sometimes without being bumped or touched!
What is your our least favorite chore? Folding laundry...I honestly barely do it a lot of the time :-o
How are you feeling? Generally awful, nausea is full swing, but SO different than my first pregnancy. I find it gets better as the day goes on and then in the evening before bed I get extremely hungry, like I can’t eat enough no matter what I eat. Also craving more protein and often times more disgusted by carby food.
What is your our least favorite chore? Cleaning bathrooms..woof.

Any appointments? First u/s is 9/10
Questions? Not yet

Any appointments? Tomorrow! So excited and really, really nervous
Questions? None at the moment
How are you feeling? Starting to feel a bit worse this week, but still not terrible
What is your our least favorite chore? Laundry, so I put it off and make it worse for myself.
Due date: 04/15/19
Any appointments? 09/23 First Prenatal with Homebirth midwife
Questions?
How are you feeling? Better than last week nausea/vomiting wise (I've figured out a system that works for me... Mostly, still have a lot of trouble in the late afternoon/evening). I'm having a lot more mood swings and anxiety this week though (and am in the process of stopping some psych meds with my Dr... Could be a bad call?). My boobs have started hurting sometimes without being bumped or touched!
What is your our least favorite chore? Folding laundry...I honestly barely do it a lot of the time :-o
Any appointments? First one is on Wednesday!
Questions? Hmm..none at the time!
