He was a mutual friend of one of my best guy friends in college. We had a party in the summer of sophomore year and after quite a few beers asked my friend "hey where's your SHORT friend?" (My husband is about 5" shorter than me) and I looked up and he was about 4 feet in front of me. I sunk myself down into a corner and then just left my house for the rest of the night.
Lucky for me, he got my number from his friend and the rest is history!

(My husband is about 5" shorter than me) and I looked up and he was about 4 feet in front of me. I sunk myself down into a corner and then just left my house for the rest of the night.

Set up by a mutual (ex) friend. She’d been trying for months to introduce us. I knew that he was the one within 2 weeks, and he felt the same. Been together 13 years.

Meet so: We met at a bar. We were both out with mutual friends. At the time he was with someone so we had met and that was pretty much that. We ran into each other again a few months later and it was game on! I persuaded him to join my kickball team and the rest is history.

Favorite memory of being a kid: Crawling out of bed after my dad was asleep and hanging out with my mom on the couch "staying up late" - it was our secret! Can't wait to do that with my own, although I feel like my DH would be more lax than my dad was - LOL!
