    What is being addressed?
Cervical length ultrasound and then reg. OB appointment
    Questions/Comments/Concerns:
I'm starting to get concerned about how the rest of this pregnancy is going to go (for me, not for baby girl). I've had weekly nurse visits since 17 weeks, which will now add weekly cervical length ultrasounds. In a month I'll have to start biweekly NSTs on top of how ever often I'll need to actually see my OB and MFM. With work starting, I have to do mandatory tutoring twice a week basically until maternity leave. On top of all that, I have to prep 2 months worth of lessons for my sub while I'm out with baby.  I'm going to be so busy I won't have time to worry about baby girl showing up early!

  • When is your appointment? Tomorrow afternoon

How far along will you be? 29.6

What is being addressed? Just a normal two week check up. Might get my tdap, if not I'll get it at the next one or the one after that...

Questions/Comments/Concerns: not really... may bring up the high amount of BH I've been having. I'm fairly certain it's normal I just didn't have any during my last pregnancy. My bet is they say to hydrate (I try!) and take it easy (LOLOLOL maybe when preschool starts!)

  • @lifesabeach85 I actually called in last week because of the BH I was having. I've not had them with either of my last two kiddos, so it was completely foreign to me. Their advice was pretty much exactly what you said (drink water, take tylenol, slow down). Since baby wasn't moving a lot, they also said to drink some juice to get things going. It's so weird having them this time though.

  • @lifesabeach85 - I am concerned about the same thing! I literally can't walk down stairs or across the house without contracting. Some days were worse than others, but I figured out it was worse when the baby was lower. He/she isn't as low now, but I've still been contracting a lot. I'm trying to drink more, but a full bladder also makes me contract.

    When is your appointment?
    Thursday

How far along will you be?
    28w4d

    What is being addressed?
28 week appointment, first appointment at my new OBs office (with her PA)

    Questions/Comments/Concerns:
As mentioned above, I'm a little nervous about all the contractions I'm having. I can deal with them being uncomfortable, I just want to make sure my cervix isn't changing. I also hope my next appointment is with my actual OB so I can meet her and see if we're a good match!

    Friday, 8/24

How far along will you be?
    27+3

    What is being addressed?
    Just the usual check-up

    Questions/Comments/Concerns:
I am another one with the BH concerns. I’ve had one or two that actually hurt as opposed to being just uncomfortable, but they were super short and not consecutive (on totally different days). I already pee about every 20 minutes so if they say hydrate more I might as well never leave the bathroom!

    What is being addressed?
    The usual checkup
    Questions/Comments/Concerns:
I was nervous because of the couple times I've gotten dizzy, the doc thinks I probably just had my sugar crashing when that happened based on our conversation. My blood pressure is good, and everything else is going well! I will have to do my second 3 hour glucose test in the next week or so along with a CBC panel to make sure things like anemia are monitored. I also have to get my TDAP at my next appointment (I think I was supposed to get it this time, but forgot to ask).
  • @middleschoolmommy good luck getting back to school!

    When is your appointment? Tomorrow

What is being addressed? Normal MFM appointment, getting to see our little girl every 3 weeks has me feeling so spoiled!

Questions/Comments/ConcernsI have a weird dry patch on my thigh that's got me a little weirded out but I'm not sure if I should ask a MFM doctor about a possible rash?
  • When is your appointment?
    8/22- today
How far along will you be?
    29 weeks
    What is being addressed?
    Just a routine check-up
    Questions/Comments/Concerns:
I had some itching and the doctor prefers not to test or treat if it's a yeast infection. He said it didn't sound at all like it was a yeast infection or BV and I agree but I wanted to test just to be sure. Maybe I'll go back if it gets worse. Just thought that was a strange stance to take for a doctor.

    BabyFruit Ticker
  • @the-lo that is a strange stance for your doctor to take. I can’t imagine leaving a possible vaginal infection untested/untreated.

  • @linz36 right??!! The nurse did not agree with him when I called...I may bring it up again in two weeks if I'm still feeling symptoms. As of right now I just have slight itching and it IS going away but still.

  • I had my 28 week appointment today with the PA at my new OBs office. Everyone seemed really nice, so that was reassuring. I made all my appointments from here on out, which is crazy to me that we're that far already. Only 7 more appointments left! My OB is out of town in 2 weeks, so I won't get to meet her until my 32 week appointment. I hope I like her! I've had quite a few high sugars the last 4 weeks (4 a week to be exact, although 7 of them were only 2-5 above normal range). I told the PA I will do better, because that's 100% due to my diet. Between all the traveling we've done, moving, not having a fridge (now we at least have a minifridge until ours comes in)... my diet has pretty much been terrible with fast food and milkshakes. She didn't seem too worried about it, but I'm supposed to email my nurse my sugars at the end of every week. Hopefully the GD will be as easily diet controlled as it was with DS!

  • Just finished at my appointment. OB is a little concern about the frequency of what I thought were BH contractions. I have to time duration and frequency and log it. If I notice there’s any pattern to it, I have to call her. Any suggestions for easy ways of being able to time them and keep track?
    Pregnancy Ticker
  • @rosebud1230 I use the full term app, it tracks the contractions and makes a report. You track them from beginning to beginning, and it keeps track of length, duration, etc.
  • @wildrainbow thank you! I’ll go check it out!
    Pregnancy Ticker
  • @wildrainbow Sorry for the double post... total FTM question: how do you time a contraction? From the start to total relief from the tightness, or the start of relief?

@rosebud1230 You time it from start to start. So when you feel the contraction start, hit the button, and hit it again when another starts. The app explains it way better than I can, but it keeps track of all the in between and if there is a pattern etc.

  • @tessiesmom26 so happy to hear that your hip pain is finally going away!
  • When is your appointment?

I have 3 appointments on Monday. One with my OB, one with MFM fkr another US, and one with PT for my back pain.

How far along will you be?

    Exactly 27 weeks

    What is being addressed?

The OB is just a routine visit. The MFM is my monthly US to check on the baby because of my GD, hypothyroidism, and hypertension. Not sur about the PT, it is only my second time going.

    Questions/Comments/Concerns:

So my biggest concerned is that my DD was diagnosed with Fifths Disease on Thursday. She is already passed the contagious phase since the rash showed up last week (we initially thought it was a sunburn but it never went away).

I had to give a blood sample to see if I am immune and/or test positive for it now. The pedi made it sound not serious but I was reading that it can cause stillbirths! So now I am stressing out! Hopefully everything will be fine and I am already immune but I am scared right now.
  • @bfpafter4years oh no, that is scary. Hoping everything comes back okay!

  • @bfpafter4years oh no! Poor you and DD! I can see why you would be scared but the internet is full of worst case scenarios - if the pedi isn’t worried that’s a good sign. Thinking of you!

  • @bfpafter4years that is nerve wracking; hopefully everything will be ok!
