went for an ultrasound tuesday to see if baby girl had turn or was still breeched (she turned!!! yaaay!) I saw on the monitor that she was mesuring big and that the due date was september 05 but I've been told september 15 since my first ultrasound. maybe it changed? i know due dates are verrry vague (it's my third) but it happend to anyone?
Is it possible the tech just typed the date wrong? If you’re concerned, you can ask your OB at your next appointment, but at this point baby will come when she wants and due dates don’t mean a lot
They don’t usually change the due date. Your due date is still September 15th even if the baby’s measuring a little big. The “2 weeks ahead” would mean the EXACT AVERAGE size of a baby that’s 2 weeks ahead. The ultrasound software often just shows the due date that would be for a baby of exact average size it’s measuring (in your case September 5th). You can just interpret it as “your due date is Sept 15th but your baby is measuring a little bigger than the average baby born on Sept 15”.
So my initial due date is 9/11 and last week they measured baby boys head at 40 weeks, femur at 35 and abdomen at 34 weeks. It's a mixed bag of nuts considering that my first two sons were 5 and 6 days late. Anytime is fine with me, but it is always a waiting game. Lots of water to keep the swelling down.
