Pretty good still! I've been getting backed up a little lately from either the baby or the probiotics I've been taking (or both?), so a little discomfort from that, but otherwise good. More energy!
3. Any appointments this week?
Nope! None til mid-september.
4. Rants/ raves/ questions?
Just did our social media announcement post! Exciting!
I just bought some maternity/nursing bras from Motherhood Maternity and they should be arriving today! I also ordered a pants-extender kit and some belly bands to go over it from amazon so I can keep wearing my regular pants as long as I can! I don't need it yet, but I think I will soon! Anybody have any maternity legging suggestions?
GTKY: Do you have any names picked out yet for baby(ies)?
We are going with Rosalie for a girl and we are undecided about a boy name. I really like Asher and my husband likes Huxley. No middle names for either yet, we are going to wait til we know the gender to start thinking about those.
1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby? - 14 weeks, peach.
2. How are you feeling? - Like crap. I actually took today off because I woke up and puked twice, and I was still nauseous as hell. It's now 2 pm and I haven't been able to eat anything yet.
3. Any appointments this week? - Next appt is in three weeks.
4. Rants/ raves/ questions? - I know it sounds nuts for a FTM, but I actually think I can feel baby move occasionally! It started a couple days ago, and it feels like weird flutters/popcorn. It's always in the same spot, and feels different from gas, so maybe this is actually it?
GTKY: Do you have any names picked out yet for baby(ies)? - Solvei or Tuva if it's a girl, no idea if it's a boy. We'll get more into deciding on a name once we know the sex.
@eliseirene31613 I found some great maternity leggings at Target for $20-30 and they've lasted me into my current pregnancy.
@grebretso I don't think it's nuts to already feel baby. Depending on your anatomy and sensitivity, I totally believe it! I felt LO#2 at 13 weeks and it felt exactly like what you described. It's transient and unpredictable, but I noticed it more when I was sort of smushing my pelvis area like in a sitting position with tight pants on. Also, the names you have for baby girl are EVERYTHING!
1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby? 14, peach.
2. How are you feeling? Slightly better! I actually woke up yesterday without nausea or extreme exhaustion and worked out (45 minutes of uphill, moderate-paced walking while watching Gossip Girl). It was extremely tiring because I'm way out of shape, but I did it again today and am hoping I can make it a routine. Also, I'm pretty sure I felt a firm fundus while lying down with a full bladder a couple mornings ago and it was oddly reassuring for some reason.
3. Any appointments this week? None until next Thursday.
4. Rants/ raves/ questions? I'm being forced to do a 24-hour urine test although I have no other risk factors or symptoms of pre-E (besides gestational hypertension with my first child although I didn't have to do a 24-hr for that pregnancy). As a medical professional, I understand that this is total overkill and a waste of time and resources, but I don't want to be a bitchy patient, so I'm giving in.
GTKY: Do you have any names picked out yet for baby(ies)? Intuition tells me it's a boy, so we've got a first name nailed down and have just about agreed on a middle name which is a family name. No girl names as back-ups because I'm pretty confident in my prediction of LO's sex
Tired, again. I had a couple good weeks so it could just be that I overdid it a bit over the (long for me) weekend.
3. Any appointments this week?
First appointment with my OB next tuesday. I had a lovely appointment with my GP this tuesday - heard the heartbeat and found out the NT+blood test stuff came back negative.
4. Rants/ raves/ questions?
Rant: My DH will be away for the next 6 months on training (coming home on weekends when possible) as of this morning. I miss him already. I try to be a strong independent woman but damn I love him company. He is so good to me and now I have to do everything for myself. Boo! Also his absence puts the dog on edge and I have no patience for it.
GTKY: Do you have any names picked out yet for baby(ies)?
I really want to have a short list ready for when this LO comes but so far we have only agreed on Annaliese and Gabriel. So far everything else has gotten nixed because they can't compete with those two.
@becks_726 You are so strong! DH went out of town for almost 3 weeks when I was around 8 weeks and it was tough. Cant imagine 6 months.
1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby?
16 weeks! An... avocado?! Meh avocados range in size
2. How are you feeling?
Knock on wood good! I am happy to be back at work (teacher) and I've had a great first few days with kids.
3. Any appointments this week?
I had one Monday. Doc said I was "too early" for my appt at 15 + 5, it was just blood work and checking baby heartbeat (btw, I didn't choose the date, reception did) and now I have to go back for blood work on Thursday. Kind of irritated about the way I was like accused of making that choice. Meh. Luckily my OB office is 7 minutes from my job, so I'll just pop by after work.
4. Rants/ raves/ questions?
I have been feeling like a sensation on my right side near baby location. Can't describe it. It's random, but not sure if it's movement. Or gas. Meh!! I'll feel it more eventually. Or this baby is kickin my guts already lol
GTKY: Do you have any names picked out yet for baby(ies)?
@ohsunnydays you are too kind! (And I love the name Dimitri!) I'm 12 hours in to this and falling apart. He just told me that he has to share a room (so no private phone calls) and that they are super strict about not texting most of the day and I literally started crying. It's going to be a looooong six months.
1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby? 15w!
2. How are you feeling? Actually pretty decent other than still being exhauste. Also I hate my chair at work and I feel like I can't get comfortable in it. I may have to deal with this before it becomes an actual issue when I start getting huge.
3. Any appointments this week? Nope. I have one next week on Thursday.
4. Rants/ raves/ questions? My DH races stock car racing and we will be at the track most of the day tomorrow. We won't get to see DD all evening so we decided to do something fun together today. So we are heading to a local fair after work, where they have barns to see farm animals and also some rides. She is going to be excited!
GTKY: Do you have any names picked out yet for baby(ies)? No. I swear this kid will have no name for a few days after birth. DH hates mostly everything I suggest and doesn't have any suggestions. So far all I have are maybes from him on my suggested names. I'm hoping we can narrow down a name for both sexes since we are team green.
@becks_726 that is tough! I hope you and the pup do ok together in his absence! Keep us posted on how you are doing, I'm sure you'll find that you are stronger than you think! Don't hesitate to ask friends/family/neighbors for help when you need it! And be sure to get out of the house! Take the pup to the dog park or go for a nice walk with a friend and explore! Fall is almost here so it will be lovely outside Hopefully now that you're in your second tri you'll start feeling great!
Update. FINALLY got my records faxed over *eye roll* so now I have an initial visit nurse "counseling" session with the new practice (they usually do at 7-8 weeks), and my first actual prenatal appointment with the doctor at the new practice is September 10. A little nervous! Since I've been going to my old practice for years
@eliseirene31613 thank you for your kind words. I'm working on doing all the things you mentioned, many of which do not come naturally to me. Yesterday I started a 30x30 challenge: 30 minutes per day for 30 days of activity in a green space. I'm hoping to get into a happy, healthy routine. DH has alerted neighbours of his departure and my pregnancy and despite only having lived here for a year and being total hermits they all offered support. Now if that mythical second tri energy could appear, all would be good!
@notthecheat doctor stuff is so tedious but the lovely appointments make up for it instantly! I'm sure September 10 will be here in no time.
14 weeks. I really like the comparison I got yesterday. Baby is the size of a baby chick. My husband and I have a farm so it kinda connected.
2. How are you feeling?
Still nauseous/pukey and tired but not as icky. Sore on my tummy(probably from the surgery). My legs hurt and my sciatica acts up daily. Overall, comparatively, not terrible. Nice to know I am not alone in the upset tummy department.
3. Any appointments this week? This week on wednesday is with the surgeon to make sure everything healed ok. Baby wise not until the 13th
4. Rants/ raves/ questions? I think baby moved! A strangr tickle sensation that did not feel like gas. And I need clothes. ..so bad. A coworker was nice enough to point out that my pants no longer fit. I was like yeah, I know, hence to hairband holding them up. Yes I know I can't button the bottom buttons on my shirts that is why I wear a tank underneath. Financially I just can't afford new work pants. Going to see if a belly band is cheaper...
GTKY: Do you have any names picked out yet for baby(ies)? We do! Girl: Lily Jane or boy: Oliver Flynn
@hnbergeron Oliver Flynn is a great name!! And your coworker can suck it. I've been wearing hairbands or rolled down waistbands for weeks now or I'd get a wicked sore tummy.

4. Rants/ raves/ questions?
ready to look pregnant.
GTKY: Do you have any names picked out yet for baby(ies)?
it's a boy. I don't really like any boy names, but I keep coming back to Edison. DH hasn't liked any names I picked.
1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby? - 14 weeks, peach.
