I hate internet and text message lingo. (And yes, I'm guilty of using it myself.) I just think it's not really that much effort to type out/say entire words instead of using acronyms. Especially in professional websites or emails, or *shudder* real life conversations.
@kangstadt To piggyback off that, overuse of emojis drives me nuts. An emoji or two is fine, but when it's punctuating your entire sentence/paragraph/life? No, thanks.

@mrsdee15, agreed. My MIL will send an entire row of emojis in her texts. I know it's mostly a novelty thing for her but oh my word, calm down with the smiley faces!
I hate trigger warnings. I use them out of respect for the people who they benefit, but it’s become so frequently used that for me “TW” and “MC” have become synonymous, so using one term doesn’t protect my emotions more than the other.
@2babes3angels Oh a few aren't so bad! I'm more thinking of the posts with one every few words, like "I just made a [index finger emoji] cake [cake emoji] and now I'm going to sell it [money emoji, money tongue emoji, flying money emoji] and then go [foot emoji] to pick [index finger emoji] my nose [nose emoji]."
@JNR6510 I made it a point after my last pregnancy to keep all my clothes stretchy. No shame in the stretchy pants game.

@mrstmoose I really like their Christmas Blend but that's about it. H turns into a basic bitch come september and drinks a ridiculous amount of PSLs. It just tastes like sweet to me. I don't get it.

Agreed on text-speak and emojis. I love when I send a pic of my daughter to both my mom and MIL - my mom writes a paragraph about how N is the light of her life, and my MIL responds with emojis. Oy!
@wearegroot SUPER agreed on TW. I don't exactly know who they protect. And having to write *TW* just makes me feel worse about some really shitty things I've experienced. "Please, let me protect YOU from hearing about what I've lived through."
@ashtuesday I have to ask a clarification on HP - are you a fan of the books and don't feel the movies did them justice, or just not into the franchise as a whole?

@ashtuesday I was hoping for that answer! I love the books too, and I think the movies are okay, but I 100% agree they left out SO much, especially in book 5 and later. There is so much backstory that never made it into the movies. I thought they should have been making miniseries of the books rather than movies starting with Goblet of Fire, because they're just so dense.

UO (since people brought it up)I can’t stand pumpkin spice anything unless it’s pumpkin pie
Also I hate when people say “You look great...for having X amount of kids.” I take it as you look could look way worse but also way better. I’m mean if I see a mom who has recently had kids I always say “you look great!” (No extra words)
Why all the white chocolate hate? I feel offended on a personal level since I'm a pastry chef... . Maybe you guys haven't tried good white chocolate. I agree the "baking chips," are gross. High quality couveture though... mmm...
And yes, especially with macadamia nuts, @fuzzywombat.
@fuzzywombat yassss.... i have a recipe for white chocolate macadamia blondies that are out of this world. and a recipe for raspberry white chocolate scones that i would probably sell my soul for. but plain white chocolate is nasty
As I sit in my bathroom through constant waves of nausea, staring at my tub I realized I don't like baths, bubble baths with candles and all those nice things, even Jacuzzis are a miss for me. I get so bored and never feel clean after.

@mermaidca I like to relax in a bath but usually shower quickly afterwards to actually get clean. I know water waste but it’s a very rare occurrence anyways.
I miss being able to take a bath. My apartment has the worst hot water heater, it’s tiny and old and you get like 10 min tops in the shower at like warm to hot temp or like a half full bath.

@mermaidca I don’t like baths either! I can’t relax in them and I always feel dirty. That’s why when we built our house we just put a large walk-in shower and no tub. We do have a tub in the kids bathroom.
My UO from last week is now irrelevant because I’m craving pizza!!!
This week: I’m not a big fan of Game of Thrones. It’s just too, too much. I honestly prefer Vikings (though some recent major character deaths got me down!)
My UO relates to the discussion about future FB group. I prefer FB over the boards. Feel like its an easier format and where you truly get to know people! Crazy is going to be crazy and it will happen anywhere. We all show our crazy at some point in time, but it is way too soon to start one. So I will be patiently waiting for us to all be further along for one to start up.
This is my second rodeo, and I'm now convinced that the worst trimester is the first. Now, while yes you have the weight to carry in the other two, and the unique bs that comes with second and third- I just absolutely hate how I feel right now. The hormones are crazy, you have no bump just pudginess, smells, irritability, sore boobs, uneasy stomach, tiredness, stress, getting used to being pregnant, AND YOU HAVE TO KEEP THIS ALL A SECRET (if you choose to). So when someone asks how you are and they don't know, you say fine, but you mean to say you feel like garbage because you're growing a human and it's hard. Bring on the second trimester, please.
@samott, it’s funny b/c i just had that same thought the other day! w/ my first, i was lucky(?) to have zero symptoms, but this time around, i’m nauseous, bloated, crazy tired & my work emails are getting snarky AF! and i can’t ask anyone for forgiveness for the cause of all of this, or sympathy, when i need it the most!
never cared for starbucks xmas blend, always found it too spicy. but give me all the thanksgiving blend!!
it's not so much that I dislike harry potter, I had just grown up in my reading material by the time those books hit the shelves. so I missed that train. that being said, I get pretty annoyed when people make harry potter references b/c a) I don't get them and b) I find it really presumptuous that the assumption is made that everyone does get those references. I immediately tune out of convos when that happens.
@batmama31 Right? The things that come out of my mouth sometimes...and I'm really trying to keep it in check! Whatever hopefully they all forgive us in a few weeks!

My UO- I think any type of wedge shoes are so unattractive. Especially those that have the rope-type material wrapped around the base.
