Immediate pregnancy after miscarriage before AF

So I had a miscarriage June 28th... and haven’t had my AF since. I took a pregnancy test 6 weeks after and it was clear as day positive. Has anyone else experienced this, pregnancy immediately after a miscarriage? How did you estimate your due date? How far off were you when your Due date was confirmed? My doctor wont see me until the 23rd and I don’t even know if it’s an ultrasound but I should be getting my results for my HCG levels today. Not that that really tells me how far along I am

  • @nicolegoode214 the best way to get a due date for you is going to be a dating ultrasound, which is going to be most accurate in the second half of the first trimester. (Someone out there is going to know better than I exactly when, but my 5 week scan was vague because they couldn’t see much.) I’d call again and ask what to expect during the appointment, and ask directly whether you should expect an ultrasound.

  • I know the best way is from an ultrasound I’m just curious from other moms experiences how far off they were when guessing. If I use my first day of my miscarriage As my “AF” then I’m 7 weeks. Pretty sure I conceived a week after that. So I’m not sure. Once the doctor gets my HCG levels today I guess they will determine what the next step is.
  • @nicolegoode214 unless you have an idea of when you ovulated (ie: you were tracking bbt, using opk's, etc.), you aren't going to be able to accurately guess and no one else's experience is going to help you measure how accurately you can guess either- in this case, you need a dating ultrasound to know.

  • I’m in the same boat - MC on June 20, BFP on August 15 with no AF in between. We’re waiting on the dating scan to find out true EDD, but my estimate is mid to late April 2019.
  • I miscarried June 29th. And became pregnant right after. I used the first day of my miscarriage when I went to see my R.E and it matches up perfectly. I’m currently 7 weeks 2 days
  • Hi, here to share my experience. I had a miscarriage 6/30/16 and I found out I was pregnant again on 8/3/16. My ovulation was 7/21, 7 days later than expected. My doctor never adjusted my due date because their rule was as long as I was measuring within 7 days of my LMP due date, it was considered normal. I, personally, just counted from my own due date that I knew to be true because I knew when we DTD and I also had used ovulation tests to try to see if my cycle post miscarriage was irregular. After I lost my pregnancy, ny doctor did blood tests until my HCG was back in the negative range, so when I tested positive the following month, I knew it was a new pregnancy. My son is now 16 months old born 4/14/17, and I am due with my second 4/18/19. Best of luck to you and I wish you a healthy happy 9 months.
  • I had a miscarriage in May and another on July 10th. I tested the day after my period was due from the July miscarriage and got the darkest positive I’ve even seen. I know when I ovulate because after my second daughter, my ovulation is excruciatingly painful. Some calculators let you go by ovulation so I’m guessing April 17th. But I am open to that changing once I have my dating scan in two weeks.
  • I’m in the same boat miscarriage shortly after Father’s Day in June and no AF before we got this BFP. We’re you temping by chance? That’s how I got my estimated due date.
  • Same here! Found out we were pregnant on June 17, 16 months postpartum, without a period first. Miscarriage July 8. Found out we were pregnant again August 20, no period in between. Was tracking fertility signs and I think I ovulated the 29th day after the start of miscarriage.

I am sure everybody’s body regulates differently after loss. What a journey it had been.
