What do I do?

Hi guys! So a brief summary of my pregnancy. I am consultant led due to a slightly high BMI to start with.. at 20 weeks i was told i had a single umbilical artery and at 28 weeks I was diagnosed with Polyhydramios and gestational diabetes. There have been no problems with baby throughout.

I'm 35 weeks now and I'm huge. I'm not just saying it I actually am huge, I've seen photos of people carrying twins at 32 weeks and I'm as big as if not bigger than them. I have stretch marks literally everywhere (horizontally and vertically) my body is struggling, I'm uncomfortable constantly.

Now here's my problem, Thursday I was laying in bed, I turned slightly to get up and it felt as if my bump got caught on something and something tore. That didn't happen, but it felt like something had torn and it killed. No visible marks nothing and then the feeling went away in a few minutes.

Since then my bump has been stupidly tight. I went to grab something this morning and I had almost the same sensation. Not as bad but by my belly button and now the place where I felt it the first time sort of aches.

I don't understand what's going on or if I should be worried. I just want this.pregnancy over with now :(

Has anyone else had anything similar?

  • Agree with @BusinessWife. That doesn’t sound like a typical symptom, please let your doctors know. Is baby still moving around?

  • I feel like you should let your OB know.
Thinking of you. Let us know what they say.
  • Definitely call in. By tight do you mean you are having Braxton Hicks? I don't know what it could be, I haven't heard similar symptoms described. I would be worried about something like a hernia, diastasis recti . . .I dunno. But when in doubt - call the professionals!
