I think those hairstyles where you shave part of your head, like the underlayer or the side are dumb. The look nice on some people, but why would anyone want half their head shaved and half of it long?
I’m not sure if this is an UO or just me being incompetent but I can’t seem to figure out/get into the flow with the Facebook BMB. I’m so used to how the threads are on this app and it shows me how many new posts there are on each thread since I last looked and those are always somewhere right at the top. Don’t get my wrong, our admins are doing a great job and I think some of the work they did the other day to make certain threads stick to the top was helpful. I’m just too exhausted to try and learn new things right now!
@rabtaido1214 I'm just so confused on who is who. I don't remember being this lost with my last BMB. But I can't get The Bump to work anywhere anymore, so I feel like I'm lost on what's happening with everyone!
I agree. I also don't get notifications for new posts unless I already commented on. I find it hard to keep up because I never know what I have read or not.

DH did this with DD's hair this summer (he's the stay at home parent, so he has to deal with her hair more than I do). It's not my favorite look for her but it has kept her cooler, and is less hair to deal with brushing. She's had fewer tangles and overall, it's been a win. She wears her hair down 90% of the time so you can't even tell. She hates having her hair brushed and this has pretty much solved that problem.
I wouldn't do it to myself, though, for sure. And I'm not really sure what we'll do with her as it grows out. She had a pixie cut for awhile, and it was cute, but I think she wants to keep her hair longer now, so it's going to be interesting.
The only problem with the sides/back being shaved is that those are the sensors places when you are playing with someone’s hair- much harder to pull...
The key to fb is everytime you see someone made a new post, find it and click on the upper right corner and follow the post. Then you'll get a notification whenever anyone else comments.
@jennybean80 yeah. It just seems like a lot of upkeep to me. I know tons of people say it’s lighter and cooler. I just don’t get it.
So on my N15 BMB we don’t do any “threads” except for toddler Tuesday. Everyone just makes posts and we comment as we like. That being said, the mists are mostly baby/kid related questions or venting sessions, there’s not a lot of random chatter.
Also if you click in the right corner of a post you can turn on notifications for the post, even if you haven’t commented. It doesn’t send you notifications for replies to comments though.
Yeah, I turn on notifications for the randoms if I haven’t had anything to say yet so I stay caught up. My other BMB there’s different people who volunteered to do each thread as well. So the same person posts the Monday randoms, someone does Toddler Tuesday, someone does Tuesday randoms, etc. So it doesn’t fall on one person to do it daily or get missed.
I’m glad I’m not the only one having trouble with FB. Granted I’ve been out of the loop this week in general but at least here I’ve been able to lurk. On FB I’m finding it very hard to keep up and keep identities straight! I appreciate everyone who still puts their tag at the end if a post even though I forget to do it half the time!!
For every bmb I've had to just start over with knowing who is who on fb, I don't even remember people's bump names anymore. So it's kind of like starting from scratch. Since I've done it twice before, it doesn't bother me. In fact, the admins pinning that gtky is way better than previous bmbs.

I’ve never been one for hair pulling...
