How’s everyone feeling? Hopefully getting more energy to get active again? Disclaimer: I swear I’m not an annoying health freak cheerleader in real life!
What did everyone do this week? Making any mods? Eating habits?
Really stepped it up this week with classes and got back into running so that was...something. Had to take quite a few walk breaks which was pretty disappointing but I haven’t run in about 8 weeks so hopefully that’s part of the reason.
I expected to not be as fast as I was but I didn’t anticipate just how much slower my sprints would be. Guess I’ll just do my best and adjust as needed.
Eating has actually been ok. Getting in a couple fruits/veggies a day (huge improvement for me) and no real crazy cravings so that’s nice. Eating way too much candy but that’s always been my weakness...
IM FINALLY OFF PELVIC RESTTTTTTT!!!!!! Appt yesterday confirmed that the SCH has bled out so we’re back in business (albeit gently, at my doctors encouragement). I think today I’ll take DS on a hilly walk. Maybe jog a little on the flat parts. After only being allowed to do short walks for the past 4 weeks, and feeling like garbage the previous 10 weeks, I’m so excited to push myself even a little bit. I’m hopeful I can incorporate some body weight exercises once I adjust to walking/jogging more.
I am still running, no mods needed yet. I should be going to pilates and yoga but have been slacking there. As for eating, good on fruits and some veggies, but protein bars and yogurt have been my only tolerable protein sources.
Finally back to feeling semi okay! I made it on just a 3 mile run Tuesday and did some strength stuff, then got a really gross sickness. But back feeling okay today so hopefully can run again. I was really sad cuz I usually would run 5-7 miles a couple times a week. But maybe once i get back to it i can up my game again.
Eating is bad, getting some veggies and fruits in, but also pizza, candy and all the bad stuff. Trying so hard to get back to healthy.
I started taking Barre3 classes and I’m really hoping to be able to continue well into pregnancy. No modifications yet, but will need to think about modifying some of the ab and flat back work in the next few weeks. I’m really hoping the weather will cool off soon so that I can get back to running. The heat and humidity tend to give me headaches, which just isn’t worth it during pregnancy.
I’m going to hang out here too if you guys don’t mind. Due to an early diagnosis of GD I am now very much on the low carb train. Also trying to get a little more physical activity in my life.
I've been feeling really good in the mornings so I've been trying to get out and walk. DS, the dog, and I went on a 40 minute walk this morning and it felt great. Eating hasn't been going the best but my appetite is slowly coming back.
DS starts daycare next week and I still have the week off so I am hoping to get to the gym in the mornings after dropping him off!
I miss running! I went yesterday for the first time in a few months. It’s just.. uncomfortable. I also tripped while running and ate shit. My palms and knees are busted and my wrists hurt. It was NOT graceful. So much for finishing the run lol... maybe next time.
@babystrong2719 I was on a treadmill so thankfully didn’t have to worry about road/sidewalks but I went in with the mindset of taking about 30 seconds per mile off my normal pace and added in walk breaks when I got too winded. It definitely didn’t feel like a great run but it was something. Don’t give up! I’m aiming for a couple days a week in between classes
First tri I was actually more on top of my eating habits. I was on a schedule to avoid morning nausea as much as possible, and the hubs went into full blown "OMG we're pregnant" mode and stocked the house with healthy food and snacks. Now that all that has worn off I have slipped back into some old habits I gotta kick. I gained 7lbs in 1 month and dont plan on continuing that trend!
