Re: Week 1 Check-in (W/O 8/13)

  • Due date: 4/4

Any appointments? Not this week, but next week I have stacked DD’s and my appointments.

Questions? It occurred to me yesterday, as I put a car seat in a shopping cart to avoid waking the slumbering 15mo, that this would be impossible to do with a second car seat. And that perhaps I should start game planning these scenarios - anyone interested in a “prepping for two under two” thread?

How are you feeling? Great! Honestly, minimal symptoms other than needing to pee more frequently.

What's your favorite show to binge watch? I don’t really have the attention span to binge too much, but I could watch a lot of Man in the High Castle in a week.

    Any appointments? Thursday!

    Questions? nope

How are you feeling? So nauseous. Throwing up more days than not. My face is clearing up though, so yay? I think I'd take the pimples over the puking though.

What's your favorite show to binge watch? The Ranch to actually sit and watch, Friends, Big Bang Theory or fixer upper for background noise/lazy watching
  • Due date: 4/2

Any appointments? Just had one today! OB intake. They let me take a quick peek at baby because my doctor could tell I was worried. I love her!!

Questions? Nah. Third time around. I feel like a pro

  • Due date: 4/4

Any appointments? I have an ultrasound Thursday!

Questions? Anyone else looking at car seats yet?  I had a chicco with my youngest (he’ll be 7 next month,) and I loved it, but are there others I should look at?

How are you feeling?  Pretty good still!  A little tired, and a bit cranky at times!

What's your favorite show to binge watch?   Right now I’m binging Pretty Little Liars, but my usual is greys anatomy I could rewatch it over and over.

  • @rae2919 I've started looking, but only because it's my first and legit have no idea what I'm doing! So basically I have no suggestions. I think I've got a few in mind but I'm waiting til I'm a little further along to go look in stores and get a feel for them.
  • Due date: 4/2/19- Excited to see some due date twins here.

Any appointments? I had my OB intake today. I had an ultrasound and got to see the baby. PGAL Brain is nutty, I already feel much more calm. I will be referred to MFM for next steps to ensure that there are no genetic conditions with this child.

Questions? Nothing here- @rae2919 I think Chiccos are still highly recommended. I've also heard Britax and Peg Perego are good brands.

How are you feeling? Like hot garbage. So... things are progressing as they should!

What's your favorite show to binge watch? I'm a real true crime nerd, so I could binge true crime (Dateline, Snapped, etc.) for hours on end. Also... House Hunters.

  • Hey!

Due date: 4/4/19, according to LMP

Any appointments? Later this month--August 28

Questions? Is not having morning sickness normal? Any precautions to take in a swimming pool for exercise?

How are you feeling? Great, main symptoms are sore breasts, fatigue, lots of emotions--more than usual, occasional cramps, bloating

What's your favorite show to binge watch? Looking forward to the new seasons of Man in the High Castle and Cable Girls!
  • Due date: 4/3

    Any appointments? not until 8/21

Questions? Is it unusual to feel no symptoms at all. Nothing.  Slight dull feeling on right side maybe but otherwise feel totally normal.

How are you feeling? See above!

What's your favorite show to binge watch?  Don't really binge shows.  Like to watch shows currently putting out the new episodes as they put it out (dvr'd of course but I usually watch the new episodes within a week or two ha).
  • Due date: 4/3

    Any appointments?
Wednesday for an ultrasound! I'm very anxious. Trying not to borrow trouble. We'll see what there is to see.

Questions? Not at this point. This is my 5th pregnancy, so I feel like an old pro at the first 6-7 weeks. It's the later stages I'm less certain of!

How are you feeling? Actually having some morning sickness this time, which is nice. Helps me be more confident that baby is still there and growing. For those of you asking if it's normal to have no symptoms, YES. It can be! I typically have zero pregnancy symptoms for the first few months. Very nervewracking. That's why I was so surprised to actually feel sick this time!

What's your favorite show to binge watch? I don't really do binges, but my husband and I are currently working our way through Elementary. I'm a big nerd so my ultimate favorite shows are all the Star Treks.
  • @aggie0812 the only swimming precaution I’d take is to make sure I have a water bottle nearby. It’s easy to get dehydrated in general, doubly so when pregnant!
  • @aggie0812 @bbbbcccceeeeI think it's totally normal to not have symptoms.  With my DD I didn't have any symptoms till almost out of the 1st trimester.

@rae2919 I have a chicco infant seat and I liked it a lot.  Most people I know either go with Chicco, Graco, or Britax. Our convertible car seat is the Graco 4 Ever and I highly recommend it after using the infant seat.

    Due date
    : 4/7

Any appointments? First appointment and U/S next Monday!

    Questions? none

How are you feeling? Tired, hangry, sore boobs.

What's your favorite show to binge watch? I'm currently rewatching The Office with DH and just started rewatching Downton Abbey because the movie is supposed to come out in the spring I think.  I'm waiting for my favorite current shows The Resident, Splitting Up Together, and This Is Us to start back in the fall. And I wanna check out ABC's new show A Million Little Things and The CW's retake on Charmed. I'm not a big fan of reality TV so I usually rewatch shows in the summer or play catch up on episodes I missed.
  • Due date: 4/6 for now

    Any appointments?
Not until the 28th for my ultrasound.  Feels like an eternity from now.

Questions? Third time round, so no questions as of yet!

How are you feeling? Pretty good all around.  Just the normal stuff - exhaustion and bloating being the main things.  My husband sites pregnancy brain as well because I have definitely done a few questionable things over the past few weeks!  This little stinker is already sucking up all my brain power.

What's your favorite show to binge watch? My husband and I have a Sunday night ritual of rewatching How I Met Your Mother.  Currently, we are binge watching the Sopranos.  Given I'm Italian it is a downright shame I have never seen it!

@gollygeeitsamy, there's a Charmed remake?!  I was obsessed with that show, haha.
    Pregnancy Ticker
  • @kangstadt yes! I feel like Hollywood is up for remaking everything.  There is also a remake of Murphy Brown coming out. I guess there are no more original ideas.
  • Due date: 4/1/19

Any appointments? Had one on Thursday (doc squeezed me in), all is looking good.  Next appointment is 9/7

Questions? I need to dye my hair...is it safe?

How are you feeling?  tired, nauseous, boobs hurt

What's your favorite show to binge watch?   General Hospital
  • Due date: 4/1 as far as I know
    Any appointments? First appointment 8/30
    Questions? Not today.
How are you feeling? Yesterday evening, I had really bad nausea right before I needed to go to bed for work and I had a mini meltdown. How am I going to make it through work for weeks like this? Work isn't normally stressful but we have a big grant due at the end of August that I need to write and our team is so small I can't pawn it off on anyone. Fortunately, today ended up being a relatively productive day.
What's your favorite show to binge watch?  I don't really binge, but DH and I are watching Handmaid's tale. And it gave me nightmares... But it's so good.
  • @aqualicious hey there EDD twin. I dye my hair, too. In my case to cover grays. I think you'll find a range of opinions because hair dye during pregnancy is one of those issues where there isn't good data either way. "Expecting Better" says it's probably safe. "The Expectant Father" says not to do it with the frustratingly familiar argument for pregnant women "Why risk it?" (Umm, cause I don't feel like myself when everything I like has been taken away without data to back it up.) My plan is to wait until after 10 weeks when the major organ systems have formed, and then choose a hair dye that is as safe as possible and dye less frequently than I used to. I wouldn't fault you for choosing whatever is right for you, though.
  • Thanks for your thoughts. I called my doctor, they said it was fine.  My appointment is next week, but I’m getting a body wave first, and then a week later I’ll get it colored.
  • @aqualicious hi! I am a constant hair dyer throughout pregnancy. Im like... 90% gray at 31 so I don’t want these roots to grow on
