Questions/Comments/Concerns:
*Hope everyone is doing well. This was my first week back to work. I've been so busy, and I don't even have students yet! I'm hoping this means third trimester (2 weeks til I'm there) will fly by!
Re: Appointments and Updates 8/12
How far along will you be? 28+5
What is being addressed? 1 hour glucose test, and some more lab work
Questions/Comments/Concerns: no concerns but man do I HATE drinking the nasty stuff!!!
How far along will you be? 28 weeks
What is being addressed? Glucose test, regular check up, dreaded weigh in.
Questions/Comments/Concerns: The glucose test really doesn't bother me that much. I don't like putting that crap into my body, but I will be glad to have it behind me. I can't believe that I go every two weeks now. I have a feeling that the last 6-8 weeks are going to move really slow though.
@firsttimespartanmom I don't feel great after it because my body isn't use to sugar like that, especially in the morning. I typically plan to eat something sort of carb/salt heavy after my appointment to help get rid of that nasty sugary feeling.
8/14/2018 - Ultrasound (yay!) and then Endocrinologist (boo!)
How far along will you be?

What is being addressed?
Routine ultrasound
Questions/Comments/Concerns:
Really excited to see baby again and how much he has developed! Nervous to talk about gestational diabetes and what I need to do to mitigate it.
I went in today for an NST because of some issues
How far along will you be?
I'm 27+1
What is being addressed?
Had to get an NST due to RUQ pain and constant menstrual cramps
Questions/Comments/Concerns:
I got a surprise u/s on top of the NST. My tech even got a few 3D shots. Baby was breech and facing towards my back so the pics aren't beautiful, altho we did get him smiling. I sent a pic to my H and his response was creepy. I had a crap ton of lab work done and I expect that I may be back at my dr before my next appointment, depending on what labs say.
Tuesday and Friday
How far along will you be?

What is being addressed?
PT appts. I caved and bought the support belt on Amazon so hopefully it will help!
Questions/Comments/Concerns:
I need to ask how (if at all) these problems are going to affect birth.

What is being addressed?
Standard OB visit with 1 hr Glucose Test
Questions/Comments/Concerns:
I found out today that my OB office is closing October 1. My doctor will be transitioning into an education only role for a few months (she's pregnant and due in December), and will eventually be leaving the state for another practice. So...I get to find another OB at almost 26w with Mo/Di twins. The good thing is that I've been seeing the MFM doc regularly, so I may get SOME consistency of pre-natal care throughout the pregnancy. I'm just hoping that I can find a doc that can get me in, will work with me to have a vaginal delivery (if possible), and isn't going to leave the state (the OB/GYN I was seeing prior to this OB left right before I got pregnant).
Here's hoping I passed the Glucose test. I don't know that my preggo emotions can take any more bad news.
that totally blows! thank goodness your awesome mfm doc is there for you. hope finding another obgyn is a smooth process for you. can you get a recommendation from mfm?

What is being addressed?
1-hr glucose test, thyroid levels (i have hypothyroidism), and some miscellaneous bloodwork
Questions/Comments/Concerns:
I'm super paranoid about failing the glucose test. You know that chubby guy in Matilda who is forced to eat the whole cake in front of the school? I'm not saying that's me EVERY day...but it's pretty close. If I'm not eating something fried or salty, then it's probably some form of sugar/carbs. And candy corn came out in stores last week, so you know that's not great timing. I have been drinking a protein shake (protein powder, spinach, peanut butter, milk, chia seeds, strawberries) in the mornings instead of sugary cereal, so I did that again today. We'll just see what they say.

I got my support belt and tried it on. I'm about ready to throw this thing out the window already and it hasn't been 24 hours. When I first put it on, I did it real tight and my pelvis felt better, but my back and sciatic nerve were bothering me. So I loosened it up, and then my back felt better but my pelvis hurt again. It also can't be on my skin because it irritates it, so I have to put it over my clothes which makes going to the bathroom every 5 seconds a pain, because I have to keep taking it off. I am going to bring it to my appt tomorrow and have her look at it and tell me how it should be worn correctly.

@smulrich16 - how is the OB search going? I hope you find one you like soon!
I had a Centering Pregnancy class/appointment on Tuesday. At that appointment, it was recommended that we all take the Tdap vaccine (for whooping cough, tetanus & diphtheria). Most of the other women refused it but I took it. It is still super sore two days later. Is anyone else getting recommended this shot?

Thanks for all the confirmations about my shot. I usually just listen to what they suggest and if the risks don't sound too horrible then go for it. Good thing I followed by instincts .I was just so surprised at how many women turned it down.
