April 2019 Moms

IVF Baby

Hi everyone! I was just wondering if there are any other IVF moms on this thread? I could use some support in the every day-progesterone shot-torture that is my life right now! I've gotten more used to the shots where I'm not flexing my muscle and so my butt isn't as sore as in the beginning. But yesterday my DH went to give me the shot and it was a bad spot! I just screamed.....and then starting crying uncontrollably (my hormones are a bit out of control). Topping that event off I felt like vomiting, which was my first true morning sickness experience. Fun times!

Re: IVF Baby

  • @rennie1108 that sounds awful! Check out the PAIF thread - there are definitely other women in here who are getting that sort of treatment!

  • @rennie1108 yes, come join the PAIF thread!! We can commiserate there lol
I cannot wait to be done with PIO!!! And I just got a fresh delivery today.
I swear most days are a breeze and I barely feel it but others have definitely brought tears to my eyes.
Its worth it though, right?? That's what gets me through the bad nights.
  • @50Wife yes! It is definitely worth it, but damn, my poor skin is so tender and I have big ol' lumps! I looked at PAIF - do I just post under the first trimester? I'm a little confused as how to navigate that thread.
  • @rennie1108 oh I have lumps and my ass is not pretty right now lol. I have my husband press on the spot where he's going to give my next one to make sure it's not too sore to begin with.
Luckily my office says they'll start to wean me around 8 weeks. I can't wait!!

Theres actuslly a thread on this board with April 2019 ladies! Scroll down a bit and you should see it :)
  • @50Wife SAME. I just got a fresh delivery of PIO today too. My RE told me today that at 8 weeks I can drop either the PIO or the suppositories and I honestly don't know which is worse!

  • @madasm0530 Right?? At least the shot is just once a day and you're done! How often do you do suppositories? I'm AM and PM. I can't wait to not have to wear a panty liner!
