I know I’m starting this a bit early, but I can’t get my mind off of that Knottie’s ultra squeamish partner. He passed out during an ULTRASOUND?! And he thinks that he can handle a live human birth?! Man. I do not mean to dis some random dude, but I have to wonder if diapers blow outs will also cause him to pass out too.
Otherwise - We don’t have any plans this entire weekend, so I might actually do laundry and read while DH tends to the coffee pot. *sigh* I’m excited.

@echo-charlietango OMG! I can’t get over that. What’s so gory about an ultrasound? It’s a wand and a black and white video? Also, don’t be selfish and act offended that she thinks you won’t make it through birth. Just wow.
AFM DH is on call this weekend, so DS and I will be running some errands and hanging out. Then, tomorrow we are taking my grandma and going to my dad’s house for a visit. I hope he sleeps during the 90 min drive and that the visit is relaxing. I never know what to expect with my dad and his wife. Then, my A/S is Monday!!!! Just throwing that out there I haven’t seen jellybean since week 8 and I’m so excited!
Good god, I just saw that knottie post. That is insane in the membrane.
Anyway, we are in WNY for H's brother's wedding today. Based one how things have gone so far, things could get... interesting. But neither of us or his other siblings have any responsibilities so we all get to just sit back and enjoy the potential circus.
Yeah that poor girl needs a different birth team. Can't be worrying about h while you're trying to have a kid.
We are doing some house stuff (shocker). The realtor was here for 3 hours yesterday staging and getting our listing docs ready. We have a few teeeeennnnny tiiiiinnnyyyy things to do, the photographer comes Monday, and we list on Wednesday! Hopefully an offer or so in the first few days. I swear I'll be more interesting soon...maybe?
Crap weekend here. Heading to viewing and funeral for a very close family member. She left behind a 4&7 year old. My heart is shattered. I feel so defeated. LIFE STOP BEING A TURD PLZ.
I haven't read that post yet but that's where I'm headed next. A lady posted a Joovy lightweight sit n stand stroller for $30. We're going to get it this afternoon. SCORE!
Literally nothing on the agenda this weekend and it’s so wonderful. We might attempt to go to dinner tonight but who knows.
And i I agree about that knotties DH. How do you pass out at the ultrasound??? My husband didn’t want to watch my daughter being born which was fine with me, I’m not sure I’d want to watch either lol but in the moment he did see everything and was happy he did
@rosebud332 right? I feel guilty even doing anything non house related. I am hoping we accept an offer in the first 3 days because next Saturday we leave for Maine and I want to be on real vacation! I do have to say though, the realtor was impressed with our progress in the last 2 weeks, so it feels worth it
@morgantu and @rosebud332 same here! I am taking a break from house stuff today, and visiting my sister. SO is taking care of things needed for our inspections. Got some bad news about the well, the septic system, and the basement! It seems like it never ends! Fortunately, I get the day off while he takes care of it all
@scaredunprepared I was wondering about your Inspection. Sorry it didn't go great, but glad you get to rest a little today! We did a few projects this morning but took the afternoon to go kayaking. It was nice to be outside and not painting or packing! Hope you and your sis enjoyed your day!
AFM, MH and I had a date night yesterday out to a show with another couple. Then took Poppy to a puppet show today, and a bunch of rainy day activities. The highlight of her day today was getting to walk home with me in the rain carrying her own umbrella. I’m pretty sure she sang the whole way home.
I have work to do but can’t bring myself to start slogging through files tonight. Which means it will sadly be waiting for me tomorrow. I hate when work intrudes on my weekends. There needs to be clear separation for work-life balance.
@morgantu thanks. Today was a nice day of relaxing, playing with my niece, going to the park, eating mint chocolate chip ice cream (my fave!!!), and watching raunchy comedies after my niece went to sleep. A much needed day of relaxation and forgetting the stresses that await me on Monday. Sounds like you are getting ish done! Way to be on top of things. Kayaking sounds so fun, but I feel like I'd be so uncomfortable squished into a kayak at this point. Hopefully you enjoyed it!
@Katzalia thanks. Things are moving slowly, but that's better than not at all. I hope you had a great date night. Your daughter signing in the rain sounds like such an adorable little moment. How precious! Good luck with the work. Technology is such a blessing and a curse. Gone are the days when work didn't follow you home. Nowadays we basically expected to be on call 24/7. God forbid you don't respond to a call or email within several hours!
#1 Last night I decided that next birthday (in June) I’m only asking for Lululemon gift cards. I’m medium sad that I can’t fit into all of my athleisure clothes, so hopefully a promise of Lulu will help me get my ass in gear.
#2 Driving today I saw a little roadkill, probably a squirrel that had a rough night. But at a glance it looked like a tiny deer - like 5” tall - tiny. So I spent the following 10 mins thinking about dollhouse-sized woodland creatures. So cute.

Good luck to everyone dealing with house moving/buying/selling stuff!
My husband and I are visiting my brother and SIL and their two week old baby in NC. The visit has made me feel better about life with a newborn. She seems like an easy baby though so maybe they just got lucky. Pic of my niece and me in the spoiler!
My Sunday has been a drama filled day because my MIL is losing her mind over the baby shower. She has pisssd off me, my husband and my SIL (who is in charge of shower) by trying to strong arm her way into controlling the whole thing. My only request was that we have the shower at my house because 1- I don’t have to haul shit and 2- our house is ideal for entertaining. She informed me this morning we would be having it at her house - like not even a question of would that be okay! Mind you my SIL and I agreed having it at my house would be best as she lives close to us. Such a mess ... thank the Lord for my wonderful husband who immediately stepped in to deal with his Mother. Also thank god we already decided to have a separate shower for my family! Freakin craziness!!
Weekend recap! This weekend has been one for the book and today was so wonderful it almost makes me sad that the days of DD being an only child is nearing. Friday we finish our other set of front steps and I can now see my vision coming together. We definitely upping the curb appeal. DD threw he first tailgate party in the back of DH’s truck. It was hilarious the neighbor’s grandchildren came over to play and they decided that chez its in the bed of the truck was the funniest thing ever. They didn’t want to go home! And I had delicious empanadas for dinner. Saturday we snuggled and played until my SIL took DD for an overnight. My SIL is my BIL second wife and doesn’t have any children of her own. She has the sweetest relationship with DD and is always willing to help out. DH and I got the deck stained! I was feeling really good about the house until about ten minutes ago. Oye Lol. Then it was off for a night of adulting. We went to a house warming/fish fry and I tried alcohol free wine. It didn’t taste like juice I swear!! I was pleasantly surprised and I didn’t feel left out because I had a glass in my hand. Sounds funny typing that but I felt more myself and very relaxed I wasn’t chasing a toddler! After we were stuffed it was off to an Alice and Wonderful themed party, it was amazing. So many details and great laughs! Today, we went to pick up DD, had breakfast with the fam and then I was off to the spa (early birthday celebration with my girls) and DH and DD were off to the zoo! We meet up at the race track to watch the ponies run! DD has soooo much fun and a bunch of her friends were there to run around with! Our friends 11 year old daughter was our groups big winner. It was a nearly perfect night, fun, great company, perfect temp and relaxing. Tonight ended with an exhausted baby and her biggest fan not wanting to leave her side!
LLynde5 aw that pictures melts my heart! Nothing better then a kid and their dog

@morgantu I feel like we’re the same right now. Do I EVER talk about anything but getting this house up for sale? I feel like it’s taken over my life!
@morgantu @rosebud332 @scaredunprepared I hope things move forward with your houses!
@echo-charlietango sound lovely & relaxing.
