Re: PGAL Check in w/o 8/9
22 weeks today - most pregnant EVAR
2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)?
Good - especially since I've been feeling kiddo move. I'm getting a little congested here and there, so I just need to remember to take an allergy pill in the evening (getting to sleep is hard because my throat feels gunky). Constipation has nearly disappeared since I started taking in smaller meals / more snacks, so that's awesome.
3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)?
Low anxiety, finally! Looking pregnant, feeling good, and feeling a baby is great! I don't think I could ever say that I love being pregnant, but right now it's not too bad.
4. Any appointment updates?
Since last check-in we had a good anatomy scan, and I've been coasting on the resulting reassurance that LO is perfect as far as we can tell. We scheduled my one-hour glucose test for later this month, and the glucola is already in the fridge. Orange flavor seemed like the lesser evil.
5. What's been happening in your life this week? Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here):
Dear Diary, I've been avoiding small tasks for no reason. I need to finish up the things I need for registering my car, and I need to file a small claim against our moving company (since we had to live out of suitcases longer than we packed for). Need to put some stuff on eBay. What am I doing instead? Eating hummus, and listening to podcasts.
6. GTKY: What trend do you wish would come back?
Wide legged pants. I hate that everything (easily available at least) is skinny. When the skinny jeans started I avoided it for as long as possible, because they make my feet look extra long. But then ballet flats became a thing and I was okay with skinny pants because I had casual shoes that didn't make me look like a hobbit. But still...I just don't like pants that are snug on my ankles.

1. How far along are you? Any milestones?
21+6, also most pregnant I've ever been!.
2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)?
Fine- I am ready to not be tired, but slowly accepting that this may be my new norm!
3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)?
A little nervous for my follow up scan on Friday, but overall I'm fine. She's a kicker, so it's reassuring to feel her throughout the day.
4. Any appointment updates?
Friday I have A/S part 2!
5. What's been happening in your life this week? Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here):
H is out of town, so that kinda sucks. My dog had her tumor biopsied on Monday, and I should get the results today. So FX super hard that all is OK
6. GTKY: What trend do you wish would come back?
Please don't judge me...gauchos
19w6d - Over halfway since I'll be having a csection at 37 weeks.
2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)?
Pregnancy induce planters fasciitis and back pain but otherwise, ok.
3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)?
A little higher than normal, which typically happens before a doc appointment. I also haven't felt any movement yet. I have an anterior placenta, so I am sure that is why. It is stressful though!
4. Any appointment updates?
I have my AS finally on this coming Monday and an OB appointment on Wednesday. Can't wait!
5. What's been happening in your life this week? Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here):
I have bronchitis and working from home for the week. I feel pretty awful and have lost more than half of the weight I have gained this pregnancy.
6. GTKY: What trend do you wish would come back?
I am with @ech@echo-charlietango! Wider leg jeans!
2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)? Lame sleep and my ankles are starting to swell when I've been on my feet too long or when I'm in the heat
3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)? I'm feeling great! Owen is a mover and a shaker. Soooo much movement.
4. Any appointment updates? I have my 24 week appointment on Monday and it's my glucose screen. Wee
5. What's been happening in your life this week? Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here): Mother in law goes home on Sunday, so that will be nice. To have our house back to ourselves! YAAY
6. GTKY: What trend do you wish would come back? Man. I can't think of anything, lol!

1. How far along are you? Any milestones?
21w3d No more milestones!
2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)?
Feeling well...I mentioned elsewhere I have this pelvic pain pretty much all the time. It’s not horrible but bad enough that I’d prefer to sit on my butt most of the day (so I do).
3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)?
Anxiety is low. Feeling baby is always reassuring and I am feeling her consistently. She did a crazy somersault or something the other day and I actually said “Oh!”
4. Any appointment updates?
I’ll have one next week after follow up a/s.
5. What's been happening in your life this week? Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here):
My poor little one is sick. She did have a really low fever but when I got her up from her nap it was high. The doctor says to just medicate and keep an eye on it. Ugghhh.
6. GTKY: What trend do you wish would come back?
@echo-charlietango That was going to be mine. I love and miss flare jeans. I only have one pair of “skinny” jeans and they’re really not skinny enough because my boots don’t go over them right, and that look makes my legs look weird and too short. I just want jeans I can put over my boots instead of the other way around!
@Hollyyyyy So glad that it's nothing serious for your dog...that is SUCH good news!
@lexidawg Ick, I hope your bronchitis goes away soon...sorry you're sick!
@texas_t Good luck at your glucose screen! Also, enjoy having your space back all to yourselves!
@rosebud332 Sorry your little gal is sick...hope her fever goes down soon!
1. How far along are you? Any milestones?
I'll be 21 weeks tomorrow and long past all the loss milestones!
2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)?
You know, within the past week, I have FINALLY started to feel better! Besides a cruddy episode of carsickness going up the mountain on Friday, my nausea is relatively rare. My back still hurts and my farts could peel the paint off walls. Heartburn has reared its ugly head. Otherwise, my mood has vastly improved...and that's pretty rad!
3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)?
So much better after yesterdays AS. Because I have an anterior placenta, I haven't felt him move, and that was really worrying me. He's a mover and a shaker, so I need to just stop worrying.
4. Any appointment updates?
Had my AS yesterday. It went very well and I got to watch him for almost 30 minutes. He's an active fella like his big sister! Next appointment is 9/5 and I will get another US since they couldn't get a good look at his spine.
5. What's been happening in your life this week? Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here):
Going to do a frantic shopping trip over my lunch today in preparation for our flight to MN tomorrow. I want a new pair of shoes for the wedding...among other things. Nothing like waiting til the last minute (it's what I do)! Excited to visit a state I've never been to.
6. GTKY: What trend do you wish would come back?
This is tough, because I don't consider myself a trendy person AT ALL. And I tend to grab onto trends like a year after they're trendy.
on mobile and tagging is being a biotch. Sum it up to say I'm glad you're having good weeks. And if you're not, I hope it gets better.
1. How far along are you? Any milestones?
22 weeks tomorrow!
2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)?
Good! Definitely waddling around like others have mentioned this week, some sleeping discomfort, but really nothing too bad.
3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)?
Also pretty good. Feeling this little friend is very comforting.
4. Any appointment updates?
Fetal echo on Tuesday because of h's family's history of heart issues.
5. What's been happening in your life this week? Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here):
house stuff, same old same old. Ready to be done, but the house looks great and we are SO CLOSE
6. GTKY: What trend do you wish would come back?
hmmmm. I can't think of anything that is actually not coming back. Maybe ankle bracelets? I lovw ankle bracelets lol
@Hollyyyyy Good luck with your ultrasound! I’m glad your dog should have a quick recovery.
@lexidawg I’m so sorry you are sick! Wishing you a speedy recovery! How was your trip?
@texas_t Good luck with the glucose screen!
@rosebud332 I hope your DD feels better soon! It’s so hard when they don’t feel well and you can’t fix it.
@clbness I’m glad you are feeling better! Enjoy your trip!
@morgantu Good luck with your move. I hope it is all over soon!
1. How far along are you? Any milestones?
19 weeks, 3 days, so I’m waaaay past my milestone!
2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)?
Pretty well. I get nauseous if I don’t eat enough protein and I have some strong cramping on my right side if I move too fast.
3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)?
I’m feeling much less anxious now that I’m feeling consistent movement. My AFP cane back normal, so that helped too!
4. Any appointment updates?
A/S on Monday!!!! I can’t wait! I haven’t seen this little jellybean since 8 weeks!
5. What's been happening in your life this week? Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here):
We just got back from a vacation to Oak Island. It was a nice trip, but I am so glad to be home. It is just so much easier to have DS’s toys and everything easily accessible. Also, I REALLY missed my pregnancy pillow.
6. GTKY: What trend do you wish would come back?
I wish there was less destroyed denim. I like my jeans without holes and it is hard to find ones I like sometimes.
@clbness yay for good a/s!
1. How far along are you? Any milestones?
23w+4d
2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)?
Like crap, not sure it's pregnancy related, but intense neck/shoulder/back pain & into my left bicep. Plus Sciatica on the same side. Has me immobile half the day.
3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)?
Still pretty anxious
4. Any appointment updates?
Next monthly appt is on Monday, probably schedule my glucose test
5. What's been happening in your life this week? Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here):
Son started football. I gotta sit out there 2+ hrs 5 days a week for 4 months. Boo
6. GTKY: What trend do you wish would come back?
Not a trend, but the only thing I can think of is music videos. I remember calling my friends in high school & being like "the new ___ video just came out, you gotta see it!" Now MTV is all reality shows. I've played some Michael Jackson videos for my son.
@Hollyyyyy so glad to hear the good news about your pup!
@lexidawg Good luck at your A/S! I hadn't felt any movement before mine either and it definitely reassured me.
@texas_t I'd be excited to have my house back to myself again too!
@rosebud332 Hope your LO feels better ASAP!
@clbness Glad your A/S went well and you got to see him moving around in there. Have fun on your trip!
@morgantu Hope your appointment on Tuesday goes well and glad to hear the house is coming along!
@katy0990 I agree about less distressed denim. I don't care if it makes me sound old and crotchety haha I pay good money for my jeans and they shouldn't have holes in them!
@mommythlegend I watch CMT when I am doing stuff around the house and so I still see music videos at least for country songs and every time I ask my friend if she saw the video she acts shocked that there are still music videos on TV haha I still have VHS tapes in a box somewhere that I recorded my favorite videos off of TRL
1. How far along are you? Any milestones?
21w+3d
2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)?
Generally I am feeling really good, my rant below has been the exception.
3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)?
Again overall I've been feeling really good, with Tuesday's events being an exception! My A/S was last Monday and I was riding that happiness all week.
4. Any appointment updates?
Next regular appointment is the 30th, I believe it's just a doppler and check.
5. What's been happening in your life this week? Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here):
Ugh I could've done without Tuesday happening this week. I took a half day to head to NY to watch my cousin pitch against the Mets. It was very hot and humid and then it stormed so the game went in to a rain delay and we were sitting around in the heat much longer than expected. Long story short, I had been out in the heat for way too long and wasn't drinking nearly enough water in all the excitement (there were about 100 of us there to watch) and I ended up in the hospital with what thankfully turned out to only be minor heatstroke/severe dehydration. It started as terrible cramping that had me doubling over and when an EMT at the ballpark took my blood pressure it was high and they immediately mentioned preeclampsia and sent me to the ER. My anxiety went in to overdrive so I know that didn't help. The hospital staff could not have been nicer and everything checked out at my exam, we got to see baby dancing around which made me feel so much better. Yesterday I stayed home from work to rest and was being pretty hard on myself since I've been being so good about staying hydrated and eating better and I felt embarrassed that I didn't take better care of myself but today I am beating myself up less. And my cousin had an amazing game and got the win which we were able to watch from the hospital on my phone so there's that!!
6. GTKY: What trend do you wish would come back?
I think someone mentioned this on another thread a few weeks ago but I'd be happy if scrunchies or fun hair accessories came back. And colored eyeliner, I loved my blue and purple eyeliners in high school.
@lippy625 Omg, I am so glad both you and LO are ok! That must have been scary, and I'm sure the added stress didn't help
ETA spelling
@lippy625 Oh my gosh, I’m so glad you and baby are doing well!
@lippy625 So glad you guys are ok! So scary
@lippy625 how scary! Glad you're both ok!
Yeah. Mine was 7 July. I was thinking about her earlier today for some reason. It sucks that we’ll never know those babies, but our lives are all changing in December

And echoing @katy0990 I think we definitely should just let ourselves feel how we feel and put zero guilt or expectations on that emotion. The date that hit me the hardest was 4.21, and that was the due date for my pregnancy that ended in MMC (which we suspected at 7 weeks, confirmed at 9 weeks and that took a failed medication route and eventual D and C to finally complete.) I think it hit me hard because the process of confirming and completing the loss was so long and painful, and because I felt so scared about this pregnancy still. I have another loss due date Oct 12th (and the anniversary of my D and C October 9th) but I am thinking neither of them will hit me as hard because that a.) that pregnancy was so early when I lost it and b.) even though the D and C date is hard for me, I will be close enough to December and confident enough in this pregnancy to just let gratitude take the place of sadness, but we'll see how it goes and I'm going to try not to pressure myself to feel any one way or another. But it's different for every person and every loss. Sending hugs to everyone.
