Lurker, Alivia is an actual name and not Olivia misspelled. In Spanish it means relieve. I think any child with the name will be just fine in adulthood. There are more childish names out there.

My friends named their daughter Alivia - it’s the first thing that popped up when I searched it’s meaning when we learned that they were naming her that.

Ok well maybe you're using Bing, because Google tells me it's either the el/ella/usted form of the Spanish verb "to relieve;" or a "unique" spelling of its origin name, Olivia.
Ok, all you proved was it's a Spanish word. You're still wrong. In English, it's a cutesy misspelling of Olivia. In Spanish, it means relieves, which, by the way, reminds me of someone peeing after a long car ride. I'm not sure why you came out of lurking here to refute my opinion on a name on a post that asked for name opinions, especially when it's clear you can't differentiate between something being a foreign verb vs. a cheapened version of a name with an actual origin.
And the search phrase for the correct information would've been "what does THE NAME Alivia mean." That way you wouldn't be hitching your star to wrong information.
One thing to get off my chest before going to bed (and to keep this on-topic to appease the admin). OP, Tilly isn't a full name; it's a nickname for Matilda. Give your kid a real name, and have a cutesy name for a nickname instead. This child won't be a cute little kid forever. At some point, they'll want a career (and an adult-sounding name to go with it).

I think this thread is a perfect example of why you don’t go the strangers on the internet for validation on baby names Just name your kid whatever the fuck you want
All I keep thinking when I see this is how OP said in another post that her DH said she could name this baby “whatever she wanted as long as it wasn’t misspelled or sounded like a stripper name.” Piper is the only name on that list that doesn’t go against that. So either OP really wants to piss off her DH because the family name is that terrible or Piper is the only real name she even cares about.

eta: just because it's a random Spanish verb when conjugated one way doesn't mean it's a legit name.
