I’m not sure if this is more a UO or a FFFC but it’s Friday, so here it is. I am super creeped out by the 3D ultrasounds. I had to look away from the screen when the ultrasonographer switched to 3D mode. Horrifyingly, she printed a 3D image in the strip of pictures she gave us. Edited for typos.
@katy0990 Me too girl, me too. I even lick them. I've done it a couple times while pregnant forgetting that I'm not supposed to. Oops.
@Katzalia I love them! But there are so many people who don't. I get how they can be creepy, and hey, you're saving yourself money by not being into the 3D/4D stuff! lol

Mine is kinda long... DH took DS swimming on Wednesday since his swimming lessons had been canceled two days in a row. He didn't put sunscreen on himself so got sunburn, but not a terrible one. Well, this morning he was calling me from upstairs (I'm working from home) so I went up and he's moaning and groaning so I thought he was having his stomach issues. Nope. He says it's the sunburn, it's itching and stinging at the same time ad he is in the cold shower freaking out. DS looked scared. I asked if he wanted aloe and took DS with me downstairs to grab it. I put it on him when he got out of the shower and told him to stand infront of the fan. That didn't help. He was up there for like 20 minutes just freaking out, so I go DS dressed, brushed his teeth, fed him breakfast, and kept him in the office with me while I worked.
My confession is that I was more annoyed that he was freaking DS out than I was concerned about him. He really didn't need to act that way. (He tends to overreact to things.. like when he has stomach aches he moans and groans like he is going to die. This morning he sounded like he was in labor.. I didn't even sound like that in labor!!) I sound like a terrible wife, I know.

@AdorkablePixie you were nicer than I probably would have been! Isn’t it somewhere in the parenting basics that you have to always consider the impact of your behavior on the kid(s)?!?
@katy0990 when I was little a girl I knew got salmonella and wound up in the hospital. I have never actually evaluated actual risk of that as an adult, but my childhood memory has kept me from doing that or letting DD. No judgment from me though, I just can’t bring myself to do it.
@AdorkablePixie Haha I can totally see my H doing the same. Sometimes they really are wimpy. I tend to just get on with it with something like that. I might complain but I know how to handle a sunburn! My husband also moans and groans when he’s sick. He knows it because I make fun of him when he’s better. Bad wife.
@katy0990 no flame from me! I've done that myself and also eaten quite a few cold meat sandwiches this pregnancy. We get the meat cut fresh & use it right away, so I just use my common sense.
AFM, SIL had her RCS this morning and little boy Vance is here! I'm excited to hold him, but even more excited that she & baby will continue to take spotlight for the family. I HATE attention & last pregnancy MIL annoyed the crap out of me, so I'm so glad to have them be so distracted.
@Katzalia Yes!! I didn't want to be rude and be like "hey, can you tone it down a notch, you're freaking DS out." I figured it was just easier to remove him from the situation. But we could still hear him downstairs.
@AdorkablePixie You could still hear him downstairs?! Oh dear, that would make me crazy. It’s just a sunburn (sans blisters I trust?), deal with it tough guy.
My FFFC is that I’m bumpin’ In bed. LO is wiggling a fair amount and I don’t want to miss the kicks, they’re so little

i have hardly cooked in the last 2 weeks and while H and I usually pack leftovers for lunch every day, there have hardly been dinners, let alone leftovers. I've been asking H to bring random stuff from home like pb&js to save money, but i've been buying lunch at work every day. Whoops!
@morgantu Oops, haha! It’s not so bad to treat yo self once in a while I’ve slowly been getting back into cooking dinners regularly again. Last night our side was roasted broccoli & whole clove garlic. So. Good. House smelled like garlic all night and I am super motivated to roast all of the garlic.

My boss cut me early today. Never happens and we are waiting till Monday for a new assignment. So I naturally think oh my goodness my contract is ending. Fx I am just worrying for fun?
I have spent the last hour emailing our mortgage lady back and forth (exhausting) and my house is a disaster. The “type A” in me wants this house to sparkle before hubs and DD get home. The baby in my belly wants a nap.
My FFFC is I am going to pretend like I worked till 5 so I don’t feel like a sloth when my family get home. My husband would really appreciate a clean house.
@LLynde5 I feel you in so many ways. I got out of work early today and came home to get ready for the stager/realtor to come do the final touches on our house. I'm so exhausted and our house still needs a good hour or 2 of work. At least it's the weekend?
@westcoastfoodie Her show I could do with or without but I really like her food. I’ve made a lot of her recipes and I’ve only not liked maybe two of them. And they’re easy which makes me happy.
I have a new FFFC - I have never watched this Pioneer Woman, nor used any of her recipes (knowingly at least) *shrugs shoulders* I don't have any FOMO about it, so that's nice.

I don't mind pioneer woman so much, but I can't stand Ina Garten (spelling?). Her recipes sound good but haven't tried any because they are like 90 ingredients long and take 5 hours to make. She's annoying and I can't take it.
Both of those memes are wonderful! I haven’t watched any network TV in a long time, but I loved Good Eats - I accidentally learned a lot from Alton Brown and fooled a lot of people into thinking that my mom taught me to cook

I don’t watch food TV, so no real opinion, but I have to say...every Ina Garten recipe I’ve made has actually been fairly simple and delicious! And Giada’s ribollita (as found on TheKitchn, at least) is one of my top 10 recipes of all time. Soooooo tasty. It was supposed to be my post-birth meal last time around, actually!
THAT SAID, I’ve had to take a step back from Smitten Kitchen. I loooooove her stuff — I’ve only made a few bummer recipes — but her descriptions of food were starting to annoy me.
