1) How old is baby; any milestones or brags this week?
Max is doing great. They continue to increase his feedings and moved him to a lower level of respiratory intervention yesterday. He also seems to be more alert when he is awake
2) How are you feeling, Mom?
Exhausted, but from lack of sleep rather than the kindof exhaustion I had before (where I had energy to do something until I didn’t anymore and crashed). I prefer this kind of exhaustion.
Also, super in love with my son.
3) Rants / Raves / Questions?
F-ing contractors. That is all.
No- wait- why was my BP reading one of my lowest readings last night when I spent the whole evening angry about said f-ing contractor?
4) GTKY: Is there a book or toy you hope baby gets into? If so, what is it?
Legos. Reading in general. Mostly, while I wouldn’t mind ending up with a computer nerd, I hope he doesn’t get hooked on computer games.
1) How old is baby; any milestones or brags this week? Little man is two weeks and one day old (gestational 28w4d). Brags: So last Saturday they discovered Liam had PDA (patent ductus arterioles) which basically means a little duct in his heart didn't close (common in preemies) but it effects everything because..well it's the heart. The medicine to treat it is a form of ibuprofen but it effects the kidneys and blood pressure so he's also been on blood pressure meds since Saturday. Suffice to say that he had a really rough week but he responded well to his meds and the ductus closed substantially (not completely but it SHOULD close on it's own now). He's peeing again, his BP is regulating and they're lowering his vent settings (he was off the oscillator but with all of this they had to put him back on). AND he's grown! So today he is officially 1lb and 4oz.
2) How are you feeling, Mom? Good. On his good days I feel amazing and positive and I'm dreaming of halloween costumes and Christmas card pics. On his rough days I get scared and cry, but he's stronger than I am thankfully.

4) GTKY: Is there a book or toy you hope baby gets into? If so, what is it? Harry Potter! DH and I are big Potter fans and his middle name is Harry's as well...we've got everyone calling him the boy who lived (also his 1st birthday theme, because in the hospital planning that theme kept DH and I positive before going into the c section). I also really hope he likes all things Disney because if not he's going to hate our monthly vacations lol.
