R/R: AF is due this weekend and these last few days have been torturous. If standard IMP timing applies to me, I can't POAS until the weekend. I am terrified and excited all at once. Our timing has been better than any other month and we started before the FW. Trying hard not to get my hopes up which is more difficult than usual. I want it to be Saturday!
@lulu1180 I love it! I'm so excited for you! @meri-mac I'm right there with you! Come on weekend! FX for you.

R/R: Yesterday I thought it was Thursday and now today I desperately want it to be Friday. Still having some slight cramping every now and then. Usually first thing in the morning and later in the evenings.
R/R: I'm still holding out a little hope after my cry fest yesterday. My temp barely moved this morning.
CS/Q: do you normally ovulate the same day you have ovulation pain? I'm trying to convince myself that I'm a day off since I didn't have pain until like 7 in the evening.

CD/DPO: 18/3 (!!! FF changed my O date after I put my temp in this morning! Grr)
Timing: -2, -1, O
Typical LP length: No idea, this is my first O cycle
Testing: WFAF I suppose
R/R: Someone - I cannot for the life of me remember who - said that they disagreed with FF on my O date and they were right! FF changed my O date this AM to a day later because of today's CH. Which means I'm that much farther from knowing the status of this cycle. Bahhhhh! How do you ladies do this TWW?
*lurking from WTO* @harrierwife - Guilty as charged. I was wondering why FF would put CHs before a + OPK even though your temp was lower that day. One day isn't bad off isn't bad. Two cycles ago, FF changed my CHs from CD16 to CD22! That was a really long TWW...
@harrierwife That gif genuinely made me laugh out loud. Thank you. We do it by jumping down rabbit holes and then climbing back out when we realize the crazy is taking over. I like to knit and read to distract myself. Also watching a movie or show you haven't seen is helpful so you don't have an opportunity to let your mind wander.
So I kind of posted once in the newbie intro thread, once in WTO and then life happened - so sorry about that! I'll try to keep up better. Anyway, I go here now! Fingers crossed for everyone!

R/R: It's been so so hot here and sunny every day. I know that probably sounds nice, but I'm SO thankful for some rain and cloudy weather! It's actually clearing up a bit now and going back to sunny but the break was nice. I've been sweating just walking to my car!
Typical LP length: Still figuring that out, but guessing this LP will be only 10 days.
Testing: 8/18, if I test at all
R/R: Well, thought I ovulated earlier than I did and we stopped TTC and then--bam--I ovulated and no semen for miles around. So frustrated because the night that would have given us a fighting chance, at -2, hubby said he was too tired, then proceeded to work for two hours afterward. And God forbid I said, "But I'm ovulating!" because then performance anxiety. I'm trying to chalk this first month to learning my cycle, but at my age (36, hubby 39) any missed opportunity feels that much more infuriating. Not that we aren't all infuriated. Oh, wait, that's just me?
@asupernovablizzardstorm Hey! I just read this morning that once you feel the "twinge" your ovulation is over. BUT! Also read you can get pregnant 12-24 hours after you ovulate. After that, the egg dies.
@asupernovablizzardstorm - In my personal experience, I've pinpointed the twinge/pain to be right before I ovulate most often, but I also have had it right after. The pain is not actually your follicle "popping" or the egg releasing. It's actually movement of the ovary and tube- like, basically getting in potions to scoop up an egg. But they can move before ovulation or after you have already ovulated... it can also still happen in an anovulatory cycle. Everyone is different, and honestly, every cycle is different. The best method is always trying to use more than one method. Pair tracking twinges with OPKs, CM, CP, temping, etc.

@whiteswanblackswan No problem and welcome! I hope you are a special snowflake and get 1/1. I do recall someone mentioning that +2 doesn't count, but I don't blame you for wanting to be cautious around ovulation. Only the 5 day FW and +1 tends to matter. Someone correct me if I am wrong! We have been having incredibly humid weather and it has finally started to rain out. This weekend is supposed to be glorious with some regular temperatures in the mid-20s and no humidex. So excited!
@Venus04 Guuuuurl! The "I'm too tired" is so infuriating! I am tracking CM and temps, taking a vitamin, exercising and eating healthy and you can't hop on top for 5 minutes for a few days?! I hope you are also a special snowflake and get KU'd right away.
@ska8471 Only you know your body, but with an LP of 16 days you aren't out at 11DPO. You aren't out until AF shows. I understand not wanting to get your hopes up, but I will keep everything crossed for you.
@meri-mac I’m a little confused why you can’t POAS
until the weekend? According to CTP,
there’s an 85% chance of getting a positive on 12 DPO
@thegirlwhowaited_ I really hope that the cramping
means something but just to keep things real, I often have mild “cramping”
during the TWW. I truly hope yours is
different and means something though! In
case it might help you decide when to test, using CTP DPO stats, about 66% of
people get a positive on 10 DPO but 79% of people get one on 11 DPO
@asupernovablizzardstorm Like Kristo said, O pain
can happen at any time around O. I
usually have it on O day but everyone is different. With some, it’s the day(s) leading up to it,
some are that day and others are the day(s) after. I agree with FFs assessment on your O day
@klmcguire Sorry for the crappy mood, I hope it
improves!
@harrierwife I agree with FF (and marebear) on
your O day because of the +OPK.
Thankfully it was just one day, but it still sucks that it makes your
TWW a day longer than necessary!
@whiteswanblackswan +2 is not in the fertile
window, so while you can certainly HIO if you’re in the mood, doing so will not
increase your chances of getting a BFP this cycle. Also, how are you tracking O? Are you using a BBT or OPKs?
@Venus04 How are you tracking O as well? From your previous post, it sounded like you
aren’t using OPKs or BBT, which means your estimated O day may be off. Also, -7 is not part of the FW so it wouldn’t
be included in the timing.
@ska8471 I’m sorry for the BFN, please remember to
take care of yourself tonight

@lulu1180 I'm really trying to hold out till Saturday morning. I've had some cycles where I have cramping before AF and some where I don't, so I literally have no idea if it's a good or bad sign.
@whiteswanblackswan@meri-mac is correct. +2 wouldn't be (for lack of a better word) meaningful that far past ovulation, unless you are unsure of ovulation and want to keep track just in case. Not that keeping track would hurt anything, but if you know you've o'd then +2 BD would not be ideal.
@ska8471 I agree with @meri-mac you aren't out till you are out! You still have a while till AF is due, so you can always wait a few days and test again. Or wait for AF to have missed her arrival and test again. FX!

@lulu1180 After all my TWW crazy reading (:P) Implantation takes place around 9 or 10dpo and then it takes another 3 to 4 days for hormone levels to be high enough to be detected by a HPT. I am in a weird place of wanting to pee on all the sticks and not wanting to test at all. I am terrified that after the effort we put in this cycle that I still won't get my BFP. I am really scared.
@meri-mac I totally get where you are coming from. I've been there before and have a feeling I'll be there in another 10 days or so. Waiting likely won't change the results either way, but at least you have an appointment and will hopefully have a plan to move forward that you can feel good about. I've never been a chronic tester and I realized fairly early that seeing that stark white test affected me so much worse than actually getting my period (don't get me wrong, I'm still crushed, but honestly I don't think it's quite as bad). So yeah, wait if that's what you're feeling, but I just wanted to make sure you had that information. I'm here if you need a sounding board because, let's be honest, this shit fucking sucks!

@lulu1180 You are friggin' right it does. I'm envious at these women who get their BFPs on 9dpo, but I imagine they implant earlier in the 6 to 12dpo range. I appreciate you looking out for my well-being and I will be here if you are in the same place in the next week and a half
@lulu1180 exactly! I'm still hopeful that this cycle will be it and I won't have to pay a specialist or take Clomid... but at the same time if it isn't then I'm content knowing that at least cycle we will be doing so much more to increase our chances. I just want to know which one its going to be already.
@meri-mac I am envious and somewhat hateful to all those naive girls on YouTube who turn tests at 9 and 10 dpo.
@lulu1180@meri-mac@thegirlwhowaited_ ah thanks for the tip! I'm using OPKs. I got a + on Monday and FF is saying that means O was on Tuesday. Good to know! We got O day according to FF so at least there's that. We debated last night as well but wanted to give DH time to "replenish". I guess we're planning on tonight for margin of error
@whiteswanblackswan If you are using OPKs only then FF will always assume that O is the day after a +OPK. The only piece of advice I will give you is to keep an eye on your CM; if it looks like EWCM then start testing with OPKs again because the original positive could've been a false surge.
"It's time to try defying gravity."

@lulu1180 thank you, I will keep an eye on that as well. I took one the next day (Tuesday) as well and got a negative - could that still be a false positive on Monday? I'm quite regular...though through my lurking I have read here that you're regular until you're not!
@whiteswanblackswan That's perfectly normal. OPKs vary from person to person, and sometimes even from cycle to cycle for the same person. Some people only get 1 day of positives, some get 3. You did what I would have suggested in that you kept testing until it was negative so that you know how long your surge is. Are you also tracking CM? That can also be helpful

@lulu1180 currently, no. The past 3 months all I've been doing is tracking my period and using OPKs to get a sense of what my cycle is doing for when we were ready to start trying. I thought about doing temp/tracking CM, and that probably would have been smart, but I decided to start small and build up as time went on. Basically start a little more casually. Does that make sense? DH ideally would prefer to be NTNP and "having fun with it" but my crazy planner self won't let us be THAT casual.
I thought it may have been you! I went back into the other dailies this week and couldn't find your response to confirm.
And damn. I would have screamed out loud if that happened to me.
I'm having a bad day and I don't know why. I just want to fast forward a week or something.
This is me one moment:
And then I'm like:
This is my first O cycle and I'm a borderline mad woman - how do you ladies do this? My moods are super stable usually, even all the way through AF, but gahhh. I may eat ice cream for dinner tonight.

@harrierwife I’ve been really emotional today. Sometimes during TWW I feel really hormonal, I even cried at Petsmart looking at cat food one time, and other TWW I’m fine.
@meri-mac Exactly! And after all that, we have to carry the thing around for 10 months and shove it out, should we be so lucky. But I'm sorry your too tired to orgasm, honey. *pat, pat* Oh, and doubtful on the special snowflake for me. My first took some doing...and doing.
@lulu1180 Hey! We were doing the BD every other night during what I thought was my window based on past cycle lengths, but of course once we start trying my cycle goes wonky. So now I've OPKd up and am ready for next month. Bring on the peeing! Oh, and I know -7 doesn't count, but I like to give myself credit for aaaaalll the hours I spend on my back. Ha!

@meri-mac I’m a little confused why you can’t POAS until the weekend? According to CTP, there’s an 85% chance of getting a positive on 12 DPO
@thegirlwhowaited_ I really hope that the cramping means something but just to keep things real, I often have mild “cramping” during the TWW. I truly hope yours is different and means something though! In case it might help you decide when to test, using CTP DPO stats, about 66% of people get a positive on 10 DPO but 79% of people get one on 11 DPO
@asupernovablizzardstorm Like Kristo said, O pain can happen at any time around O. I usually have it on O day but everyone is different. With some, it’s the day(s) leading up to it, some are that day and others are the day(s) after. I agree with FFs assessment on your O day
@klmcguire Sorry for the crappy mood, I hope it improves!
@harrierwife I agree with FF (and marebear) on your O day because of the +OPK. Thankfully it was just one day, but it still sucks that it makes your TWW a day longer than necessary!
@whiteswanblackswan +2 is not in the fertile window, so while you can certainly HIO if you’re in the mood, doing so will not increase your chances of getting a BFP this cycle. Also, how are you tracking O? Are you using a BBT or OPKs?
@Venus04 How are you tracking O as well? From your previous post, it sounded like you aren’t using OPKs or BBT, which means your estimated O day may be off. Also, -7 is not part of the FW so it wouldn’t be included in the timing.
@ska8471 I’m sorry for the BFN, please remember to take care of yourself tonight

@whiteswanblackswan @meri-mac is correct.
FX!

@meri-mac I am envious and somewhat hateful to all those naive girls on YouTube who turn tests at 9 and 10 dpo.

And damn. I would have screamed out loud if that happened to me.
This is me one moment:
And then I'm like:
This is my first O cycle and I'm a borderline mad woman - how do you ladies do this? My moods are super stable usually, even all the way through AF, but gahhh. I may eat ice cream for dinner tonight.
