Friday I had my 2 month old God daughter for the day, and I had an appointment with my OB. So we headed off to that, they said I'm measuring at 40 weeks and both heartbeats sounded good! He also wrote me a note because he doesn't want me going to class in Boston for 2 weeks so now I'll be home. Yesterday I went shopping with my mom for some clothes for maternity pics and for after babies are here, we got almost $400 worth of clothes in one store and after all the sales and discounts and the last of her gift card was used she only paid $11!! So that was fun Today more basement reno!!
@rabtaido1214 Peebles! They had a huge clearance section and everything over there was buy 1 get 2 free! And the rest of the store was pretty much 50%off if you texted one promo code and it sent you the link to the coupon(:
DH is taking the kids to a Heritage Festival with his sister and her wife. FIL and the 10 year old BIL might go to. It’s basically a huge park full of tents, each one set up for a different culture or country, dance/music demonstrations, and lots of different food (most of which seems to be served on a stick). I’m jealous I have to miss out on the food, but I’m going to have a lazy day at home and watch trashy TV all day.
Yesterday, Guncle and I did the Diapering for Dummies class offered by my hospital (otherwise known as Newborn Care Basics). That was fun; I learned a few tricks, but nothing earth shattering.
Today, my dance club is throwing me a baby shower. Mom and I made a poster board with pictures of Max for it. It came out cute, if I do say so myself.
Last night I broke down crying because I was so exhausted from work I couldn’t help with dishes, laundry, or getting my son to bed. Just standing was giving me Braxton Hicks. I went to bed at 8:30.
This morning I got to take my husband to the ER for chest pain (he had a heart attack 4 years ago). He woke me up at six instead of when he initially felt the pain because I NEEDED TO SLEEP. Doctor ruled out heart attack but he has to see cardiologist this week for a stress test to see if there is a blockage. On plus side he woke my mom up at 4am to watch my son.
Just got back from my baby shower! Of course I mostly received clothes (not on the registry) but overall, I would actually buy ~90% of them style-wise, so not too bad! It was so nice to see all my friends and family, especially since a lot drove in from 2+ hours away!
@mamabearcj I'm not a big girly girl, so for the most part, didn't get a lot of ALL PINK stuff, so that was nice! Just from my mother, who insists I need more pink
I’m sick. Not sure if it’s pregnancy related or just a bug. Feels like first tri all over again except my stomach is big and I’m very uncomfortable. Yay for the only day DH has off!
Nice weekend getting to hang out with H. I am currently working on ordering the rest of things we need for the baby that we didn't get at the shower. It seems like morning sickness is coming back full force, and braxton hicks are becoming more frequent so I am struggling a bit.
Bronchitis...AGAIN! Damnit! I'm so tired of the coughing and wheezing all day. It hurts and it's tiresome. The sellers gave us the keys to the house early so we could start moving some stuff in ahead of the closing. It was really nice of them and it will make setting things up ahead of school next month that much easier.
Had a great weekend with my mom and sister! I flew down to my sister’s house on Friday night and her MIL and good friend had a baby shower for her on Saturday. It was really nice and she got so much stuff off her registry. Then we hung out at the pool of their country club for the rest of the afternoon. Today we got up and went to a spinning class, had brunch and I flew home. It was nice to spend the weekend with them, but now I’m exhausted and ready to sleep in my own bed.
This week I have to finish a paper and final exam for my class and then I will be done with another class, so that’s exciting, but all the work makes me tired just thinking about it. I’m really looking forward to next weekend because DH will be gone for a bachelor party so I finally get to nest all weekend!
Yesterday, Jeff and I had a breakfast date at Chick-fil-A because I had a dream about chicken biscuits the morning prior. Got my hair cut later in the morning and it feels so much lighter. We spent much of the afternoon on the couch and watched A Quiet Place last night, which I definitely recommend if anyone is into suspense/thrillers.
Today we cleaned house in preparation for my Mom to come to town tomorrow
It was a mostly relaxing weekend. Glucose test in the morning yesterday, then we took DD to the splash pad. She loved it and even started to think getting splashed was a little fun, typically she gets scared. Today we just hung at the house and had a lazy day. There’s a ton of stuff I should have done, but I had zero energy to do them.
Sounds like everyone had a good weekend! We went to a peach festival Saturday and Sunday we had lunch and hung out at the park. DS loves to be outside!
Not much planned for this week. I have an ultrasound on my leg on Wednesday and our nephews first birthday party is Saturday.
Trying to catch up after a week of vacation at the cottage! Had a great relaxing time, but i was also SO ready to come home.
My best friend had her baby just past midnight very early this morning! They were team green turned team blue! Possible TW** it was a very long process for them. She had to get induced early (38 wks) due to cholestasis (liver condition that can appear during pregnancy). Apparently her levels were way above normal. Induction started Friday night with the gel inserted. Pitocin started Sunday morning. Unfortunately she stalled at 6cm for HOURS and ended with a c section. Baby boy is absolutely beautiful tho
Not ready to go back to work tomorrow. I need a vacation from my vacation Haha!
Total score in the baby clothes department last week! I bought a diaper box full of mostly 0-3 months clothes with some 3-6 months mixed in plus some adorable Halloween, thanksgiving and Christmas outfits for baby girl for 30$. THEN an old coworker gave me a bag of 6,9, and months baby clothes for free. I haven’t gotten to go through it yet, but it was so heavy I could barely lift it lol.
Plus we’re in Myrtle Beach this week. We hit the jackpot because DS (and me) slept half of the drive away, and the beach is so calm, I can actually go in the water. We were in OBX earlier this summer and it was so rough I wouldn’t go past my hips.

In between, Kangarooing with Max and pumping.

Looks like it will be great weather all week, which is never a guarantee in the PNW.
