Hello everyone! Me (26) and DH (33) have been trying for over a year, my OB pretty much blew off my concerns of having 35-42day cycles so I went to a RE. Anatomy looks good, lining was 6.6 day 3 of my cycle, husbands sperm was fine only issue being my hormones, he diagnosed me with "mild" PCOS. We're doing femara, trigger shot with TI for my next cycle all monitored with ultrasound/bloodwork. Anyone have a similar story with BFP after 1 cycle?? Trying not to get over excited but if anovulation is my issue I'm hoping a little medical push will get us that dream baby
Re: Femara + trigger + TI
Remember, OB's predominant patient pool are ladies who get pregnant naturally with no help, so they're often less equipped to identify or manage IF issues. When I went in for our first OB appt, my OB (who has known me since college) asked, "Why did you do IVF???" Ummm...because I've been trying to get pregnant for 5 years and I've only had one BFP?? OB's sometimes just look at the story in front of them and to him, I was a just an under 35-yearold lady with no gynecological issues. My RE, however, said in our first appointment, "Not getting a single BFP in over 3 years of trying is a major red flag to me." It sucked to hear it out loud, but he was right.
