Our back to back July IUI did not work. I'm so devastated. Trying again next month but it was so much harder to hear the news than I thought. I thought I'd prepared myself either way... but not in reality
Thank you for your kind words. I had my initial ultrasound and will have our second IUI, if my results are good, on Thursday. We have coverage for 3 more after that. I'm hopeful iui works because there is no coverage for IVF and it will put us in a tight spot.
Good luck to you! I am starting second IUI hopefully later this week (ultrasound tomorrow). It totally sucked when the first one didn’t work. This time we added Gonal shot and progesterone to the trigger shot and femara we did last time. Everyone is like, oh have a contingency plan, stay busy, plan a trip... but I have a really heard time doing that. My counselor recommended focusing on the facts, like “this IUI didn’t work but maybe the next one will” as opposed to “this IUI didn’t work so therefore I’ll never get pregnant.” I think grieving is totally normal and healthy, but it’s important to try and not let me be grief take over your whole day.
