GTKY: What is one trait you hope your child will inherit from you or SO-- physically/personality/other?
Re: Weekly Check-in EDD Jan. 8-13 (7/26/18)
EDD: 1/9
Symptoms: lots of gas, still pretty tired, occasional headaches, and some stretching feeling in my tummy
Upcoming appointments: August 2 is my next check up, and anatomy scan is mid August
R/R/Q: I’m heading out of town tomorrow for my best friends bridal shower and bachelorette party that I planned. I feel bad, but I’m not really looking forward to it that much. I’ve never been a huge drinker, but the thought of being stone cold sober around a bunch of giddy drunk women just doesn’t seem that fun... I’m ready to put on my game face and keep everyone in line though.
GTKY: I realllly hope baby gets my husbands eyes - he has the most gorgeous light blue eyes ever (mine are just plain brown). I know the odds aren’t great since blue is recessive but that would make me soooo happy. He also has the most amazing memory for facts and events in the past, which I don’t have at all. I think that is a wonderful trait that I hope our child gets as well.
EDD? 1/14
Symptoms? RLP like no other! Also, still can't take my morning sips of water without feeling like I'm going to throw up.
Upcoming appointments? Tomorrow! We'll hear babys heartbeat, and hopefully do the bloodwork for genetic testing. And then I'll get to make my appointment for the anatomy scan!!!
R/R/Q: I think I have PTSD from DS arriving early and not having my hospital bag packed, because I've already started packing my bag this time around. I only have a new nursing cami, breast pads and flip flops but I want to slowly start chipping away at it and be pretty much done by 30 weeks.
GTKY: What is one trait you hope your child will inherit from you or SO-- physically/personality/other? I hope baby has my dh's complexion. I have the worst skin ever and it's always something I've hated and been so self co spacious about.
Symptoms? Same, still sick as a dog, but I'm settling into it
Upcoming appointments? I just had my 16 week today. This was the first appointment where my doctor didn't say: youll feel better next week. She finally just said: this pregnancy isn't going to be about the best nutrition for you. If you can just get in a vitamin that will be great. This pregnancy is just about survival. LOL okaaaay! But i appreciate that she was honest and didn't string me along with the hope/promise of feeling better soon. It is what it is.
R/R/Q: Just glad the baby seems to be doing ok
GTKY: What is one trait you hope your child will inherit from you or SO-- physically/personality/other? If she gets his hazel eyes that would be cute! Especially if she gets my red hair!
jgil85 yay for hearing HB tomorrow!!

R/R/Q:
I started spotting Sunday. It was more brown and I wasn't really concerned about it because I've had SCHs in the past. I had an appointment scheduled for the 2nd, so I figured I'd just keep an eye on things. As the days went on I started having some very sharp pains. They were similar to round ligament pains, so I tried to tell myself that was it. I could still feel baby moving, so I just continued on with life. *TW* I got out of bed Wednesday after noon and felt a huge gush. My pad was completely full of dark red/brown blood. Again, because of the brown, I was really trying not to panic. I called my dr and made an appointment for the next day, packed the kids up, and drove the 5 hours back to my other place. I'm telling you, the back and forth is getting really annoying. My dr and I discussed what was going on. I'm also having pain in my left calf where I had my blood clot. We've decided just to keep an eye on that since you can have phantom pains for life after a blood clot. It's a little more concerning right now because the pain is becoming more consistent, but it doesn't hurt to touch, there isn't any swelling, heat, or redness. So that's a plus. As for baby, everything is just fine. We can't find a reason for any bleeding. Cervix and placenta check out, and there is no SCH. And, as sort of a confirmation because we suspected from my last ultrasound, baby is a girl. I had a girl feeling, probably because I already have 6, why not 7? Dr wants to see me in two weeks, and he's put me on pelvic rest until then. Which is really easy since H and I work opposite shifts and don't really see each other anyway.
GTKY: What is one trait you hope your child will inherit from you or SO-- physically/personality/other?
I don't even know. We have so many different kids with such incredibly different personalities and physical traits. All I can say, is hope she doesn't end up like her brother.
@dragonette505 I really do hope you get some relief soon.
@SweetBriarBee I don't know how you do it. Impressed is not even a strong enough worse to use.
EDD? 1/9
Symptoms? still getting nauseous from time to time and throwing up/dry heaving in the mornings. Hungry but can't eat much.
Upcoming appointments? Aug 2 just a check up. Excited to hear the heart beat and I'm pretty sure I have a hernia in my belly button. Not fun.
R/R/Q: just waiting for this work week to be over. 6 more minutes.
GTKY: What is one trait you hope your child will inherit from you or SO-- physically/personality/other? my SO has gorgeous eyes, eyebrows, and eyelashes. This LO is a boy and I would love to have had my daughter get his eyes. He's also hilarious and has that crazy memory mentioned above. I hope our little boy gets those traits too. Forgetting everything all the time sucks!
EDD?
1/11
Symptoms?
Headaches here and there.
Upcoming appointments?
Middle of the month 19 week appointment and then will schedule our ultrasound then.
R/R/Q:
DH and I took a little vacation last week and it was much needed! My in-laws were in town watching DD which was so nice. She had a great time with them. Been feeling lots of movement with this baby (already!) and nervous he/she is going to be super active like Big Sister.
GTKY: What is one trait you hope your child will inherit from you or SO-- physically/personality/other?
Would be great if this LO is more low-key like DH. DD and I are both pretty extroverted so it would be nice to have a more chill baby. If this one got my green eyes that would be a nice!
well, hopefully it wont cause any issues and you can get it looked at after this pregnancy. I had a hernia as a baby/lil kid and i have always wondered if giving birth might make it re emerge (i don't really know how they work tbh... I just remember my mom saying i had one)

Symptoms?
My symptoms are thankfully not too bad now, just either annoying or curious! I am very congested, and just feeling more physically tired and out of breath. I can feel the baby move pretty much every day now and it *tickles*, seriously. It's like someone is literally tickling me from the inside. Starting to show a little bit but it really depends on the outfit. I think about food...most of the time? lol.
Upcoming appointments?
Tomorrow for a routine appt! We'll also schedule the AS at that time. Can't wait.
R/R/Q:
Just feeling happy things are going well and baby seems to be doing well in there. I'm seriously contemplating how long I should stay in my job. I'm really questioning everything and my life priorities.
GTKY: What is one trait you hope your child will inherit from you or SO-- physically/personality/other?
I hope our child gets my husband's humor, curiosity, and overall awesome personality, but with some of my bookishness and curiosity too. I hope they are musically inclined- my H is a musician and I've played several instruments before. Physically, we both have large blue eyes so the kid will probably be "stuck" with that either way, ha. I'm extremely pale and my husband is at least semi capable of tanning, which might be nice for the baby to inherit, haha. I'm fine with my skin now but was pretty self-conscious as a teenager.
@merostomata Hope your appointment went well today!
@molosmiles Hope your appointment tomorrow goes well! I ended up with a hernia from my last pregnancy, but mine is just above my belly button. Mine has been pretty painful since I started getting bigger, and I worry about it too. I'm going to mention it to my OB at my next appointment. Hopefully, they won't give us too much trouble!?!
@UnbreakableKimmySchmidt Glad you and your DH were able to spend some time away together! I'm only a little jealous
@SweetBriarBee Man, that sounds rough. I hope it gets easier for you.
@dragonette505 I'm sorry you're still dealing with all the sickness. I hate it for you, but I'm glad to hear baby is okay.
@jgil85 Reading your post made me want to start packing my bag, too. I didn't have one packed at all last time, and that was a big mistake.
@mrsmang I love blue eyes. Maybe it will happen - who knows!
17+1 today.
Feeling okay other than heartburn, headaches, RLP, and crazy dreams. Not sleeping well at all.
Next appointment is this Friday, the 3rd.
No r/r/q.
DH has the most adorable dimples. I was really glad that DS ended up with them, so I hope this baby does too.
Edited for grammar.
