    At this point just indigestion.

Next Monday I see my OB! I feel like it's been forever.

    R/R/Q: Nothing really.

I hope they get DH's eyesight. I was cross eyed and have worn glasses since I was about 5. DH has absurdly (like 18/20) vision. It's so annoying.

Symptoms? Peeing every hour! Fatigued yet pregnancy insomnia is hitting me in the MOTN! Interesting one — I am itchy all over at random times throughout the day. I woke up in the MOTN trying to scratch my belly but I couldn’t find the exact spot so I was thoroughly dissatisfied. So so weird!

Upcoming appointments? Next Friday, 8/10 for my 16 week check up! Bright & early. Last appt, I had it at like 3 PM and I couldn’t focus on anything leading up to that appt.

R/R/Q: 1. We babysat for our friends’ 3 month old on Saturday night. DD (2 yo) started acting like a baby, cooing when the baby would. When she had other toddler-like activities we kept her busy with, she would ditch them in a heartbeat and come over to the baby to take whatever he’s playing with. I heard the transition from 1 to 2 is really, really hard. How long is this transition exactly? Any tips from veteran moms who have gone through this before?

    2. *TW* I really keep wishing this pregnancy flies by bc my anxiety is so real! Idk why but I get stressed so easily when work requires me to drive an hour or more for meetings. I get super paranoid about the things that I didn’t worry about before bc I’m worried something will happen to baby. I’m looking for ways to retrain my thoughts so they’re not always pointing to the worst possible scenarios.

    Symptoms?
    My blood sugar sucks

    Upcoming appointments?
Nothing until the end of August.

    R/R/Q:
I wish I could get an actual appointment with my Endo.

I hope this one is easygoing like DH. I originally wanted a child who was passionate and persistent, but it turns out it's really frustrating to parent a kid like that.

I developed strabismus as a reaction to my kindergarten vaccinations. It can be a sign of a certain genetic mutation. Do you know if your family carries the MTHFR genetic mutation? That makes your body have a harder time processing vitamins and getting rid of toxins; it makes you more likely to have a reaction to vaccines or medications. But there are things you can do about it, for you and your kids, like taking a multivitamin with the methylated forms of folic acid (methyl folate) and b-12 (methylcobalamin rather than cyanocobalamin.) And avoiding certain toxins, especially aluminum, and most heavy metals.

    Symptoms?
Fatigue and I still have a super sweet tooth! My skin looks like crap, any tips for exfoliating skin while pregnant? I normally use an AHA which I’ve read is not good to use while pregnant. Manual exfoliation with a wash cloth is to rough on my skin (I have super sensitive skin).

My hair is getting really thick- so at least one positive symptom!

    Upcoming appointments?
    Next week Tuesday

    R/R/Q:
I need to look up what this means and I’ll come back and edit  lol

I also hope both my kids get DHs eyesight! I had glasses when I turned 8, got LASIK two years ago but I will probably need readers once I turn 40!

  • EDD?
    1/27

    Symptoms?

So tired. Way more than the past few weeks. My boobs are really sensitive and growing like crazy. I swear my right boob already feels like it’s full of milk.

    Upcoming appointments?
    Regular check up this Wednesday.

    R/R/Q:
Rant: I bought 3 new bras a few weeks ago, and they’re already too small
    :/

Rave: DH is *finally* home after being out of town for most of July

Rant: this baby still hates hot coffee, so I’ve been drinking iced coffee, which usually ends up having way more cream/milk/sugar than I would normally have.

    GTKY:
What is one trait you hope your child will inherit from you or SO-- physically/personality/other?
DH is very selfless, so I hope our kids get that from him.
Also +1 on having a calmer kid this time. DH and I are both super laid-back and easy going. DS is the complete opposite.

I actually got tested for it b/c of my history with pregnancy loss and they said I did not have it.  I was cross eyed super early on so I really doubt it was related to anything. Not sure if anyone in my family has had it.

    Symptoms?

Lord, will the nausea and sickness ever end? Also my back/hip continues to plague me; I finally broke down and scheduled an apt with a new chiro tomorrow. Also still tired.  Also huge boob town.

    Upcoming appointments?
I have an OB one this week, yay! FX that all is well, I'm always super anxious that something has gone wrong.

My more chill personality (ha), but definitely DH's curly hair, so cute. Also, I'm extremely fair skinned, so I hope our babe gets a little more natural sun protection!

    1/22

    Symptoms?
Still having nausea and fatigue, though the fatigue may have more to do with my crazy schedule. Also I got a terrible headache with some migraine symptoms the other night.

    Upcoming appointments?
I just had an appointment last thursday so I don’t go back in for a few more weeks.

    R/R/Q:
In the grand scheme of things this probably isn’t that big of a deal, but I hate that I never feel sexy when I’m pregnant. When I’m having a good day, I may feel cute, or even beautiful, but never sexy. H and I tend to be pretty sexual people, so it kind of throws me off my groove.

    GTKY:

I tend to be pretty ADHD, which my son definitely got from me. My 7 year old doesn’t seem to be affected by that, and I’m not sure about the 3 year old yet. But the 7 year old does have H’s slight OCD with some anxiety, and being a perfectionist. I’m hoping one of kids doesn’t get any of those struggles, and is just normal. If that exists. Also H has a great nose, so I hope the baby gets his nose.
  • @wkuandrea gonna need you to change your ticker or I'm going to want steak all the time.

  • @cait32 I'm actually going in with the idea of being induced early like I was last time. If I end up going late and into February I'm not sure how I'll handle it. lol

  • Where are the end of the monthers at? I feel like we haven't checked in for a while!
I'm so bad about remembering to check in here, and then when I do log in, I don't see one for my due date, but I feel weird starting it for some reason. So basically I'm no help.

    EDD? Jan 22

    Symptoms?
Yep. Still all of them. The nausea. The exhaustion. The hopelessly hoping I'll magically feel better TODAY. :D Also adding in the back pain now.

    Upcoming appointments?
I've got a routine appt tomorrow with one of the midwives at my hospital. Then a quick meeting with one of the social workers right after, I guess. I had PPD with DD, so I assume they just want to make sure I know what services are available to me, etc.

    R/R/Q:
I'm really having a lot of body image issues this time around. I think it was somewhat to be expected because I was focusing on weight, diet, exercise, etc. so much before getting KU. But still it's throwing me for a loop more than I'd hoped it would. Hopefully I shake it soon and reach the point where I just don't care. But I guess right now I just feel like I'm way bigger than I should be for 15 weeks and it's really messing with me. *shrug*

    GTKY:
DD looks more like H than she does like me, I think. At least from what people always tell me, she does. I guess I selfishly hope that #2 looks more like me because... it's only fair? It gets kinda annoying when everyone always tells me how much DD looks like H, and I'm like, "damn, I mean, building her was a lot of work! I feel like I should get more credit here! :D " If that makes sense at all.

  • @cait32 So I was induced a week early with DD due to blood pressure problems, but so far that's doing better than last time. *knock on wood* For some reason today it just hit me that... maybe I'll be late this time, you know. On the one hand, I'd love the chance to go into labor on my own. But on the other hand... I'll be so flipping done by 39 weeks since that was when I was done last time! :D

    TTC #2: April 2018 ~~ BFP: May 2018 ~~ EDD: January 2019

  • @cait32 yeah. My hospital has midwives that run the births, including inductions, which was nice. So I saw my OB most of the time, but once she had me go in for the inductions, it was all the midwives' show. I was happy just to be able to push the induction to 39 weeks. And I did everything I could to get things going on their own before then. Except a sweep. Because I wasn't dilated at all, which you need to be to get a sweep done. :D
