Hi! How far along are you? / EDD 9w2d/Feb 24, 2019 How are you feeling? This week has been a little rough, at least compared to the past. I'm exhausted, sleeping 9 hours a night and it's not enough. Having some aversions to the smell of DH's lunchmeat (lol), and having what I think is nausea (see question below). Any recent/upcoming appointments? OB on July 31 Thoughts/Concerns?
Questions: So with my pregnancies so far, I never had morning sickness/nausea. However, in the past 2 weeks I've had two very similar situations that make me think I'm experiencing it due to pregnancy? It starts with a slight headache and then as the time progresses, I start to get dizzy. At this point I have sat down, taken from deep breathes and drank water. It seems to pass, I get up and go back to whatever task I am doing. Within minutes I get the same wave of dizziness but this time it is also accompanied with cold sweats. I sit down again and it subsides. I actually thought I was getting the flu last night, because when I've felt like this before, it's always a precursor to flu/vomiting. I've also noted that my resting heart rate has gone from 65 up to 70 over the last 2 weeks. Does any of this sound normal for pregnancy? Have any of you experienced it? Debating on calling the Dr. but don't want to seem like the over-worrier...

@halips your symptoms sound like drops in blood pressure and it can be pregnancy related. I would suggest taking it easy, drinking plenty of fluids and talking about it with your dr at your next appointment.

@halips- sounds like low blood pressure maybe. I went to urgent care friday evening since I knew I had another UTI and they said mine was low as well. Anytime I stand up I feel dizzy. I am working on eating more and staying hydrated but its a battle. It never hurts to just check with your doctor tho!
How far along are you? / EDD I will be 10 weeks tomorrow (Wednesday)
How are you feeling? AS always, so grateful to be pregnant, but honestly sooo sick. Its really hard to enjoy being pregnant, but I am trying even tho its been pretty much 4 weeks straight. i struggle through each work day, but feel my worst at night and just lay on the couch. I just have constant nausea and gagging. So hard to even take the diclegis pills! But anyways, enough complaining since I am finally here! haha
Any recent/upcoming appointments? I see an OB for the first time on Thursday. I just sent a message asking if I will be able to get an U/S since I had some brown spotting for the first time in a few weeks. Its to be expected with the large SCH, but I would just feel better if we kept an eye on everything going on with the SCH and vanishing twin.
Thoughts/Concerns? Not really... just praying things keep going well with our one baby. Nervous for the OB appt in case they just try to do the doppler and can't find the HB since I have a retroverted uterus and I will just be 10 weeks.
Questions: I'm just curious how often people go in once they go to a normal OB. I guess I'm technically high risk because of the SCH and vanishing twin and IVF, but otherwise young and healthy so just not sure what to expect. I'm sure it varies by OB and clinic.

@JamieH2000 Thanks, I'm def going to mention it to the OB. So sorry you're having such bad nausea, i can't even imagine! When you say large SCH, how big is it? Did they provide measurements? Curious because I have one but was never told anything about the size or to be concerned etc. As for the doppler, My OB never tries it at the 10wk appt. He says it's almost always too early and it makes moms worry when he can't find the heartbeat. They don't try doppler until 12 weeks at the earliest. So try not to worry if that happens. You'll just get another u/s then and get to see your little one With my first pregnancy (I was high risk) I went every 3 weeks. With this pregnancy I will see the OB every 3 weeks and the MFM Dr. every 2 weeks, due to my history. Good Luck Thursday!

@halips- thank you, that is so reassuring! If they try for just the doppler, i think I will push back! I had messaged the nurse about getting an ultrasound on Thursday. THey said there are no u/s appointments that day, but I would be squeezed in that day or the next if the OB recommended it. So that doesn't sound very encouraging My SCH has ranged in 2cmX4cm and 3cmx3cm. I think anything over 1-2cm is considered large. Its not a very scientific thing though. They did say mine was looking like it was clotting on the scan (more gray, less just black blob), so I'm hoping the bleeding is done, and it just takes a while to slowly spot it out or re-absorb. I think if yours was large, they would have let you know. Both my OB and RE were decently concerned and clear it was a risk in the beginning.

@JamieH2000 Sorry you're not feeling well! Hope you get better soon! When I went in for my OB appt at 10 weeks, they tried the doppler for about 10 minutes. They couldn't find the heartbeat so they automatically said I needed to go in for an US. I had to wait about 10 minutes (which was completely awful and felt like hours), but they got me in (and all was well)! If the same thing happens to you, I would really push for an US that day.
As far as appts, I go every 4 weeks until 28 weeks, then every 2 until 36, then every week. I am not high risk though and didn't have an SCH, so I could def see you going in more often.

How far along are you? / EDD 11 weeks on Wednesday! EDD is 2/13
How are you feeling? Pretty good! The nausea is nearly gone, as are most of the food aversions. I’m having some pain around my SI joints, but nothing too severe. That’s an area where I’ve had issues in the past, so it’s not surprising.
Any recent/upcoming appointments? First midwife appointment this Friday! Not sure if they’ll do an u/s or not, but I guess we’ll see. I’m kind of hoping for one just for peace of mind.
Thoughts/Concerns? I just told a coworker today and she was so happy and excited for me. She dealt with IF as well and knows what a struggle this has been for MH and I.
@halips My resting heart rate has gone up too. I think that’s a common occurrence because your blood volume increases during pregnancy. @JamieH2000 I’ll be going in for appointments with the midwife every four weeks.
@mag1cbeli3ver- that’s my main fear!! So scared they will just insist on the Doppler first. They did have a small portable US machine they tried at 7 weeks but of course they couldn’t see anything with my retroverted uterus. I just really wish they would plan on an US at 10 weeks. We will see how it goe!
@darkstar42- so glad to hear you are feeling better and it also gives me hope that relief may be coming soon I hope you get an US on Friday too!

Hi everyone, Introducing myself - got first BFP ever this past Saturday, following my 4th IUI! My first beta was low-ish and I was concerned I was in for a CP. But, second beta showed the numbers doubling, so I'm cautiously optimistic that it will stick. Still a lot of uncertainty, but it feels good to be posting on this board and sharing the news. My husband and I aren't going to tell anyone else for a while yet, so it's nice to be able to talk about it with someone!
How far along are you? / EDD 4 weeks 2 days
How are you feeling? 100% no symptoms at all except for a recurring sniffly nose
Any recent/upcoming appointments? Continuing regular beta checks for now
Thoughts/Concerns? So many concerns but I'm trying to just stay calm and see what comes

@scikap Congratulations! I also got my first BFP with my 4th IUI and just hit the 11 week mark. My first beta was low as well, but the important thing is that it doubled! I also had zero symptoms until 6 weeks. When will you have your first u/s?
@JamieH2000 I asked my nurse last night for the measurement of mine and it was 11mm x 10mm. So I'm guessing that's why it wasn't a big deal. I did have some brown spotting this morning when I wiped, but I'm guessing that's normal? Hopefully yours is clotting and reabsorbing like they said! And seriously, my OB always says "remember, we work for you, not the other way around" So I'd insist on that U/S!
@darkstar42 glad to hear your nausea and aversions are going away! Good luck on Friday!
@scikap Congratulations! Totally normal for you not to have any symptoms yet, even though I know we all want them for the reassurance

@JamieH2000 sorry you’re feeling so sick. Hope in few weeks you’ll get some relief!
I also hope they’ll try US. When is your appt?
In my clinic they have appts once every 6w until about 26 weeks and then it’s every 4 weeks then every 2 weeks.
Im also high risk... because of my age and the GD. But they still didn’t see me more.
But I did have more peaks as I chose to do the NT scan and amnio. And also next week I’ll have fetal echo so that’s another extra peak. So I managed to have more appts than just every 6 weeks which helped a lot. But I know that not everyone wants to do these tests. But with my age, it was obvious to me that I had to do all these tests.

How are you feeling? ok, I have a lot of discomfort down low but no sickness.
Any recent/upcoming appointments? I’ve had a lot of appointments. I initially had OHSS as soon as I got my BFP. Then I had my first ultrasound at 6.5 weeks where they only saw an empty sac and with a hcg of 36,000 they called it nonviable and we set up for a suction procedure a few days later. I went for that and while I was under they did another ultrasound and found the baby with a heartbeat. Had bleeding later that day and went for an ultrasound and everything looked good. A week later they found a SCH, so I’ve been going weekly to my OB for ultrasounds for that. It’s been gone since last Wednesday (11+2) but I had spotting (red) last mon, weds and Friday. I had my 12 week appt today and had an ultrasound and hematomas are still gone and baby is measuring right on track. Now I don’t go back for 4 weeks and my next ultrasound is my anatomy scan in 7 weeks.
Thoughts/Concerns? just that my sch will come back or I’ll have more bleeding.
Questions: does anyone else have pretty constant pain?
@JamieH2000 I was not considered high risk with the hematomas (first started at 3.5 cm other was only like 6mm) and IVF... not sure if vanishing twin pushes you over.

@scikap- Welcome and congrats on your BFP! FX for great doubling betas. How many will you have?
@halips- any spotting is scary, but I try my best to remind myself there is a "reason" with the SCH at least. I love your OBs attitude! Hopefully mine will have a similar one
@prudence9-2 my appt is tomorrow, so not too much longer to wait! I'm surprised they wouldn't see you more! I am considering getting a doppler, but I have a retroverted uterus and I have read its hard to find the HB with dopplers, so I may wait a few weeks to even attempt that.
@mayflower513- omg what a journey! I can only imagine your amazing shot waiting up after what you thought was a D&C. That is really crazy, but so happy for your real miracle! I hope your SCH stays gone. I don't really have pain much... just alot of nauesa, gas, etc. I feel like anything is normal in early pregnancy tho!

Thank you @JamieH2000... yes, this whole thing is still surreal. I’m hoping I start feeling movement in the next few weeks and things start getting more real.
I have a Doppler and a tilted uterus and have no trouble finding the HB. But I also know where baby is after all my scans so that probably helps. After tomorrow you should have a better idea and could probably find it if they do!

*lurking from 2nd tri Welcome and congrats on your BFPs @scikap and @mayflower513! It's so nice to have both of you here! @mayflower513 That is really incredible what happened - so happy for you that they decided to do another US before proceeding with the D&C!! Just amazing! Hope your SCH stays away! @scikap FX your beta numbers keep going up and your 1st US is great! I didn't really start having symptoms until 6 weeks or so, and I never got the more traditional symptoms like morning sickness or sore boobs. It was super scary, but now when I look back at it, I'm thankful my pregnancy has been pretty easy so far - the hard (and expensive) part was getting pregnant in the first place.

@JamieH2000 with all the extra tests I ended up seeing them much more often than 6 weeks. Plus when they told me to come in 6 I sometimes scheduled 5 weeks
i didnt get a doppler. I was afraid that if I can’t find the HB I’ll be more nervous. Plus, I really didn’t want to obsess on it. If I had it I could see myself test a lot.
Good luck at the appt tomorrow!!!

@mayflower513- thanks for sharing- that does give me hope if they try the doppler! i have had 5 u/s but they have never really talked about where the baby is, since I think its like in my back haha. I can't wait to feel movement either! That will definitely be reassuring, but I feel like 20 weeks is average for the first baby and that still feels so far away!
@prudence9-2- that makes sense, i am glad you got to go more. I will do any extra testing if I get to see the baby more!

@prudence9-2- that would be great! I feel like i have heard its hard to feel with a retroverted (tipped back) uterus, but it probably depends on where the placenta is. They haven't told me if its anterior or posterior yet.
My appt went great! I liked the OB i saw, my practice has 6 and you see them all. SHe was kind and patient and used the portable u/s machine. Of course we coldn't see anything with the abdomial but then she found a vaginal probe and we got the best view! It really looked like a human with arms and legs and not just a blob. It was wiggling around too. I think it felt real for the first time really for my husband. I am glad I had him come along. We saw and listened to the HB as well. My OB also said I can come in weekly through the first tri! She sent up an official u/s with the tech next week, and then in two weeks, I will have either the NT scan or another appointment with her. So i'm feeling pretty good for now. trying to enjoy it until the anxiety comes back (probably tomorrow) haa.

I everyone! I've been lurking and figured it was time to say hello! I recognize a few of you from the IVF / FET board Had our last FET with last embryo on the 10th. Still kind of surreal, so been hesitant to join. But glad to see some familair faces and meet some new one's!
How far along are you? / EDD 5 weeks / EDD March 28th
How are you feeling? Pretty good overall. If I am a little too active, I'll get slight cramps. Other than that, I find myself super tired in the evenings now, so in bed a lot earlier!
Any recent/upcoming appointments? Aug 10th - ultrasound
Thoughts/Concerns? Feeling very blessed to finally be here. The ultrasound frightens me a little, just my head goes to wonder "what if they don't see anything". Esp since the past few days, I don't feel "pregnant" or have all the cramping like I did after my FET. It's always something! lol

@kristimh80- yay, so glad to see you here! and happy you are joining us! There wasn't a first tri board for a little and i was just too scared to start one when I was super early. I remember not feeling pregnant at all from 4-6 weeks and boy did it just hit me at 6 weeks with nausea. its "nice" to have symptoms in a way, but I would hope for some other ones besides nausea! Of course I am SO grateful to be here, but its harder to enjoy it when you feel like the flu or hungover every day all day! Can't wait for your U/S!!

How far along are you? / EDD. 12 weeks 6 days The due date is Feb 2, but I expect my c-section will be a couple weeks earlier. I don't know whether to tell people I'm due in Jan or Feb. I guess it depends on why they are asking
How are you feeling? Basically ok. I've actually been more tired lately.
Any recent/upcoming appointments? I have an ultrasound on the 30th.
Thoughts/Concerns?
My main thoughts and concerns are about having a newly turned 2 year old when the baby is born I know I can handle an infant while recovering from a c-section but I don't know about a toddler Dh is good at playing with my 18 month old and will feed him if I prepare everything, but he's clueless when it comes to really taking care of things and sticking to the routine I'm sure family can take him in the a few days while I'm in the hospital, but I kind of think it's important to have him home shortly after that, otherwise, he will be more difficult when he returns. The fact that I stick to a somewhat flexible routine is probably why my son is a good sleeper and somewhat easy going. Hopefully I can get them to take him just while I'm in the hospital and then have someone at home with me so I can keep things under control so he'll continue to sleep through the night. I also think it's important for him to be with the new baby early on so he adjusts more quickly rather then being away for 2 weeks and coming home to a new baby and not understanding what happened. I'm also trying to decide whether to convert his crib into a toddler bed and transition him a few months earlier so I don't rely constantly on someone to get him in and out of the crib Dh will say, sure, give me 15 min. If I miss that window it will screw things up for the night
Questions: I don't think I need help with the new baby. It was really hard last time, but I managed. I learned that I will need someone to take over my household jobs since dh couldn't handle it and would complain to me. I will need the extra help getting DS ready for daycare and when he comes home. I'll likely need help for a month. How soon should I start looking for someone?
@LynnNJ I wish I had advice for you, but this is my 1st child. But I'd probably look sooner than later so have someone lined up ahead of time. You may find someone that could be like a p/t nanny / helper. I know a lot of times on my neighborhood page on facebook, people look for such things. Usually, even other moms or younger ladies are interested in doing these kinds of jobs on the side. Since you'd only need it for a short time, I'm sure you could find someone that's flexible

Congrats to all the ladies joining us! Sorry tagging does not work for some reason! And for those with no symptoms - don't worry! I never got any and it freaked me out! How are you feeling?
This week has been a little rough, at least compared to the past. I'm exhausted, sleeping 9 hours a night and it's not enough. Having some aversions to the smell of DH's lunchmeat (lol), and having what I think is nausea (see question below).
Any recent/upcoming appointments?

Thoughts/Concerns?
Questions:
So with my pregnancies so far, I never had morning sickness/nausea.

Back for # 2!
You'll just get another u/s then and get to see your little one
With my first pregnancy (I was high risk) I went every 3 weeks. With this pregnancy I will see the OB every 3 weeks and the MFM Dr. every 2 weeks, due to my history.
Good Luck Thursday!

My SCH has ranged in 2cmX4cm and 3cmx3cm.

Questions: Nothing right now!
@JamieH2000 I’ll be going in for appointments with the midwife every four weeks.
@darkstar42- so glad to hear you are feeling better and it also gives me hope that relief may be coming soon I hope you get an US on Friday too!

Introducing myself - got first BFP ever this past Saturday, following my 4th IUI!

How far along are you? / EDD
12+2 / Feb 4 2019
Questions:
does anyone else have pretty constant pain?
@JamieH2000 I was not considered high risk with the hematomas (first started at 3.5 cm other was only like 6mm) and IVF... not sure if vanishing twin pushes you over.

Back for # 2!
I have a Doppler and a tilted uterus and have no trouble finding the HB. But I also know where baby is after all my scans so that probably helps. After tomorrow you should have a better idea and could probably find it if they do!
Welcome and congrats on your BFPs @scikap and @mayflower513!

How far along are you? / EDD
5 weeks / EDD March 28th
How are you feeling?
Pretty good overall. If I am a little too active, I'll get slight cramps. Other than that, I find myself super tired in the evenings now, so in bed a lot earlier!
Any recent/upcoming appointments?
Aug 10th - ultrasound
Thoughts/Concerns?
Feeling very blessed to finally be here. The ultrasound frightens me a little, just my head goes to wonder "what if they don't see anything". Esp since the past few days, I don't feel "pregnant" or have all the cramping like I did after my FET. It's always something! lol

Congrats to all the ladies joining us! Sorry tagging does not work for some reason!
And for those with no symptoms - don't worry! I never got any and it freaked me out! I was tired all day every day and that was it! I only got sore breasts at about 7 weeks and that was coming and going every other day or so. And I am 20 weeks today so that proves that symptoms don't really mean much. Good luck everybody! Waiting for that first scan is brutal!
