1st Trimester

Introduction and question

Possible trigger: children mentioned

I mostly lurk because I’m never sure what to say that’s super enlightening but I wanted to
intriduce myself anyway for the times that I do comment. Im 32 and live in the suburban Midwest and I love it. I’m 5 wks and change and I’m so happy to be here but also  nervous. We have been trying for DC #3 for just under a year and I’ve had two miscarriages in the process. I’m excited but I’m afraid to get attached. My husband doesn’t really get that and he also wants me to keep the news to myself for a while which has been hard bc I don’t have a friend to talk to about who is a woman and understands how i feel especially we didn’t have a hard time getting pregnant in the past.

That brings me to my question: what do you ladies do to keep your mind busy when you feel the nesting urge but there’s nothing to nest and your pregnancy is under wraps?

Re: Introduction and question

  • Head over to the March BMB and introduce yourself there. You'll find lots of women (myself included) chatting about our pregnancies and just generally getting to know one another.

  • Hi, congrats! I can understand how tempting it is to share the good news as well as the fear because of what you previous went through. I agree talking with other moms on here and other groups are helpful. You can keep your mind busy by doing things you like, whether it be reading a book, shopping, going out to lunch, etc. Wishing you a smooth pregnancy journey. Take care
