Appts this coming week?
Nope, not till late next week.
How're you feeling this week?
Still better with more energy than in recent weeks, nausea just about gone (except when I don’t eat), and HUNGRY lately (I hope that doesn’t mean I have diabetes??)
Rants/Raves:
I *think* I finally felt baby yesterday? Still grateful for the home doppler.
GTKY: What is your favorite fruit and your favorite vegetable, and way to prepare them? (Boring, I know! I couldn't think of a good question this week!!)
Love fruit (sugar!) - I could eat red grapes every day. Veggies...I like roasted broccoli (with olive or avocado oil, salt, pepper & lemon juice or with food processed butter, garlic, and Parmesan cheese).

How far along?
21 weeks 2 days! Baby's foot is the size of a paper clip!
Appts this coming week?
Nothing this week. Next appointment is next week Friday - still so long to wait!
How're you feeling this week?
Lower back pain has been increasingly bad. I need to do prenatal yoga more often. Right now, I usually get it in twice a week, but I want to do it at least 4 times. I think that will help with the back pain.
Rants/Raves:
@artemis618 I'm pretty sure I'm finally starting to feel baby too! But there hasn't really been anything definitive, and he's not really consistent. B/c I couldn't really feel anything, I finally broke down and ordered an at-home doppler. It came in on Saturday and I love it! It really makes me feel so much better! I feel like I'm starting to act like a regular human again!
GTKY: What is your favorite fruit and your favorite vegetable, and way to prepare them?
I love all fruit! My favorite is probably pineapple. It doesn't have to prepared any particular way; just cubed and cold is perfect for me! Vegetables are harder. I don't love veggies, but my favorite is probably cauliflower, like @prudence9-2. I like it roasted the best.

Appts this coming week? Not until next Monday (AS) - so excited and nervous
How're you feeling this week? Miserable. Our AC broke last friday and no one has come out to fix it yet (rental) and I am dying here from the heat. There is supposed to be another heat wave this week (southern California) and I dont think I will make it. If they dont come today I'll go stay at a hotel. Last 3 nights were pretty rough. I probably got dehydrated from sweating crazy... Plus my hips are still killing me. I went to see a pregnancy chirprator and it helped the first night but now it hurts again. I guess the heat didnt help too since I couldnt sleep the way she suggested (hugging the pillow, putting a pillow under belly, etc.).
Rants/Raves:
GTKY: What is your favorite fruit and your favorite vegetable, and way to prepare them? (Boring, I know! I couldn't think of a good question this week!!). I love berries. I made strawberry jam from scratch and everybody is raving about it haha. I like almost all vegetables and usually I saute them in olive oil garlic, salt and pepper. Or, roast them with same ingredients.
How far along? 21w3d with BOY/GIRL TWINS!!
Appts this coming week? Had AS last Monday and next appointment is about 3 weeks away! From what they could tell everything looked good with Baby A and Baby B. She let me know that Baby A does only have 2 ventricles(or something) in his umbilical cord so they want me to have an eco with my next scan to make sure his heart is ok. Other than that both babies measuring like singletons and right on track! She said she saw the bleed but that it looks like I have a light placenta abruption and that we are going to watch it for the next few weeks. I have almost completely stopped spotting and bleeding so that makes me feel a little better
How're you feeling this week? SO far so good! My Heartburn has really kicked up but I have been managing

How're you feeling this week? Ugh, back is hurting, I'm not sleeping the greatest, RLP sucks, and my cervix may be bruised from baby constantly kicking it
Rants/Raves: So, H may be getting a new job, which is amazing, but it's 6 hours away. If that happens, he will move and I will stay here until the baby is born. Since I'm high risk and there is a high probability that I will not make it full term, I need to express to my Dr that I need as much notice as possible before we deliver so H can be there. I'm very happy for this opportunity for our family, but I'm scared about being here alone with ds and a high risk pregnancy. I guess we will just see if it comes to pass.
GTKY: What is your favorite fruit and your favorite vegetable, and way to prepare them? (Boring, I know! I couldn't think of a good question this week!!)
I love berries, between ds and I we go through blueberries and strawberries every week. My favorite veggie is green beans. I love them fresh and sauteed in a pan, or roasted in bundles with bacon wrapped around.
@Joslynj11 Yey! Glad your spotting/bleeding has stopped! That's great news! Sorry about the umbilical cord issue with Baby A - hopefully the eco is good.
@wildrainbow You're at the top of the 2nd trimester board! Wow! It sounds like your husband's new job will be a great opportunity, but it would be so hard for me to go through the rest of the pregnancy with DH not home. Do you have family/friends in the area that can help out and keep an eye on you (if needed)? Or even just watch your son here and there so you get a break? We will def support you however we can! FX everything goes smoothly for you!

@Ilky I also have hip pain and I found that swimming helps with that a lot. And yoga of course but you already know that. And we are going to be AS buddies! Mine is also on the 30th! Do you know if it is TV or abdominal? Does my bladder have to be full?
@wildrainbow you are a super woman! I don't know how you can manage a child and pregnancy on your own! I would not be that brave!
AFM,
How far along? 19w 3d
Appts this coming week? Anatomy scan on Monday the 30th!!! I can't wait to see the baby and find out if it is a boy or girl! We haven't seen the baby for almost 7 weeks now!
How're you feeling this week? I am great, heart burn is bugging me but it is manageable. I am also hungry all the time!
Rants/Raves: baby is being active and I feel him/her kicking multiple times a day now. But LO hates when my bladder is full and kicks at it to make me extra uncomfortable! So my long rides to and from work are extra "fun" because of that! I have to make "emergency" stops half way now.
GTKY: What is your favorite fruit and your favorite vegetable, and way to prepare them? (Boring, I know! I couldn't think of a good question this week!!)
I love all fruit, it really depends on my mood! But for vegetables eggplant is the winner! I have at least a dozen different recipes that we use all the time!

@DecemberDoll27 hi AS buddy! I was not told anything particular about the full bladder or vaginal vs abdominal ultrasound. Maybe ladies who have done it can enlighten us? But, from what I heard its abdominal, not sure about the full bladder. I dont think I can manage that requirement, I pee every 30 mins! lol Thanks for swimming suggestion. I'd love to swim but last couple of times I got in the pool, I got yeast infection. I think my body is super sensitive and community pools are not the most sanitized ones. Btw, you are so luck you feel the baby, I think mine is either very lazy (which could be bc every time we did ultrasounds, he was just chillin), or I have anterior placenta. Will know more about it next Monday!
@Ilky I found out at my AS that I have an anterior placenta! I think I started feeling fleeting movements last week, but they are still very sporadic and I'm not 100% sure baby is what I'm feeling. I'm 21 weeks and hoping to start feeling something more regularly soon! But that's a big reason why I finally bought the doppler. I needed that reassurance! Hopefully you'll see baby moving at the scan and maybe you can try to tune in to whether or not you feel him/her in there...

@mag1cbeli3ver insulin helps for the most part. Last night with insulin my after dinner number was the highest I’ve ever got. It was very scary!!
@wildrainbow I’m sorry your H is gonna be so far away and I hope he will make it on time! But try to not let that stress you. Worse case you’d manage, I’m sure. You’re stronger than you think!!!
I’m fairly new to the west coast and don’t have many friends here. And all my close friends are still back east. I’m single and my entire family lives outside the US. I will lie if I told you I’m not nervous. But I did manage years of IF treatments all on my own. With all the extra procedures. And I’m sure I’d manage this.
@tosh24 thanks! It was a huge relief!!!
@DecemberDoll27 @Ilky good luck with the AS! Mine was abdominal and no need for full bladder.
Ohhh don’t think I mentioned this last week. During the AS my LO was having hiccups. It was so cute to see his little stomach shakes because of that. Haha
