WAYDTGKU: pnv, opk, hio, supplements, testing

R/R: Feeling a little disheartened right now. I am pretty confident that yesterday was O day and I tried to get DH to hio, but he was sore from the gym so we will have to wait until tonight. Timing isn't bad, but it isn't what I had mentally set us up for either. Oh well. I am sure that he will be saying that I should have told him or kept him involved when AF rolls around in two weeks. Of course!
New release this week, taught yesterday and today and nailed it!

WAYDTGKU: CP, CM, BBT, HIO, OPKs after AF hits the road, supplements

R/R: AF has not made a full appearance and it has me wondering if I should pee on a stick. I haven't had any PMS symptoms and I have super light spotting. Man, bc really messed me up - I just want one predictable cycle already.

    CS/Q: None.

  • @nitnat007 I'm sorry you're feeling disheartened, I used to get so pissed off at DH if he was suddenly "too tired" to HIO when I wanted specific timing.  If you hit -1 timing, the chances of BFP are about the same as if you hit O day.

@harrierwife My period was always a bit lighter when I was on BCP and now it's suuuuuuper light and suuuuuuper short.  My mw and the RE both told me that it's nothing to be concerned about as long as the total days of flow (including spotting) is still around 4-5 days

    Month/Cycle: 26 months

WAYDTGKU: clomid+IUI, PNV, BBT, OPK, CM, Vit D, Mg

R/R: Eh, it's Tuesday.  Nothing too exciting either way.  I'm mostly just kind of cruising through work, waiting for the word of when my department will move to the new building the company recently completed construction on.

WAYDTGKU: HIO, OPKs, temping, checking CM. I read through the thread on checking CP so if this isn't our cycle I will probably start that next week.

R/R: Rant: Tried to get one last insurance HIO session in this AM, but DH's leg kept cramping up. He said he was halfway done which...I'm not sure the specifics on and didn't really wanna push the issue, ha.
Rave: A manager I work with (not my actual manager) asked me to manage a program for one of our brands in 2019, which is exciting. It's a program I've been trying to learn more about as I see a lot of room to grow in that area, so I've been sitting in on all the 2019 planning meetings with her, so it's really cool that I will get to be more involved as opposed to just observing.

    CS/Q: In spoilers:
I'm fairly certain that yesterday was O, but I guess we will see in a few days? CM, OPK, mittelschmerz, temps, and historical timing seem to line up.  If so, we had pretty great timing, which would make me happy. Chart for reference!

@general_organa (from yesterday) We had to have the bach party on a Monday night because my youngest sister only had one weekend she could fly down, and the MOH flew in from a missions trip on Saturday. So Sunday ended up being the shower and Monday the bach party. It wrapped up at 9pm because we are all old farts  :D (not really, we're all college ish age)

@nitnat007 Sorry that your timing wasn't the best.

@harrierwife Did you happen to POAS before the spotting began?

@MRDCle Your timing looks good, fx for you!

    Month/Cycle: 3/3

    CD: 16

WAYDTGKU: BBT, prenatals, CM, OPKs, HIO

R/R: I'm hoping O day is easier to figure out this month, but I'm starting to get discouraged. No positive OPKs, no change in CM, and no change in temps. FF thought my O day last month was CD22, so maybe I'm just jumping the gun, but I was hoping my LP would be longer than 9 days.

    CS/Q:

  • @MRDCle (from yesterday) Yes, I would definitely recommend trying the float spa!

@kiki047 @nmbrcrnchr1 (from yesterday)  The pod is actually quite spacious and tall and I didn't feel closed in at all.  The lid for it is huge, so if you leave that open I don't think you would feel claustrophobic and you would still enjoy all of the benefits.

R/R: Rave: Our house cleaner comes today for the first time in a month, so excited to come home to a clean house!  Rant: So much to do at work today.

CS/Q: Pretty confident O was yesterday. I’ll hang here until I confirm.

R/R: See TWaffle for Rant :p Rave: MH was able to rally despite the nasty humidity yesterday. We were almost walked in on by his cousin looking for a canoe. MH was looking for his shorts when we heard the front door. That would have been interesting :D Feeling cautiously optimistic about this cycle *knock on wood*. We have been sticking to it despite the sticky weather. Thank heavens for living by the ocean!

  • @nitnat007 Oh that is always disappointing. If only the menfolk could truly understand. Fx for you, friend! Stay cool. It is supposed to be disgustingly warm until Wednesday and then rain forever.

@harrierwife Like @thrgirlwhowaited, my periods became much lighter after having my IUD removed. These past two AFs have been shorter as well.

    @MRDCle Congrats! That is huge!

@marebear15 Sorry, hun <3 I hope you have a good month and that you O soon.

    @Sparty18 Fx for you!!
  • @nitnat007 sorry for the timing, I’m in the same boat, think I will O tonight/tomorrow morning and won’t be able to HIO tonight :( but -1 is great timing!
@MRDCle congrats on the new program at work, that’s exciting! What kind of work do you do?
@thrgirlwhowaited I agree, this week is dragging, you’d think I was in the TWW with how slow it’s going lol
@Sparty18 good to know, the place I get massages athas a float spa so I’m going to have to check it out!
@chichiphin jealous of your upcoming vacation, I need a week at anadults only resort!

    Month/Cycle: 12/7

    CD: 11

    WAYDTGKU: HIO, OPKs, PNV, BBT

R/R: I was so tired last night I fell asleep before we could HIO, like we literally just N&C lol, and bc of schedules today and tomorrow I’m not sure if we’ll be able to HIO again before I O (which I believe could be tonight/tomorrow morning), but maybe I’ll be wrong and we’ll get another chance. No raves today, work sucks, it’s stressing me out which is not good :(

    CS/Q: nope

  • Oh I thought of a separate rant. I was sitting with my MIL and MH's aunt on their deck yesterday. It was a pleasant conversation, but as the evening went on, auntie asked me why I wasn't teaching (Truth: I had to leave because of severe anxiety and depression). I tried to humorously deflect the questions until MH came home. I asked him to explain it and he said "It gives her horrible anxiety." His aunt retorted "Get over it." I nearly screamed at her. I am so sick of this response to mental illness. I can't get over it. I'm sorry I can't be a teacher. I love kids, but I become a shell of a person when placed in that scenario. It is incredibly hard to describe, but I just fall to pieces in a hole. She had been drinking, but that is no excuse for such a remark. I left shortly thereafter with MH.
  • @nitnat007 FX your timing was still good even with YH being too tired last night.
@harrierwife my last AF was only 2 days of spotting and 2 days of suuper light flow. It's one of the concerns I'll bring up to the specialist when I see him next week. Since I haven't been ovulating I also haven't had any real PMS symptoms the last few cycles.
@lulu1180 is the move a good thing or more of a hassle for you?
@MRDCle halfway done? is that a thing? lol. Congrats on getting to manage that project next year, that sounds really cool.
    @marebear15 FX for O soon!
@thrgirlwhowaited I find the days I get to work early always go so slowly. Then I feel rushed at the end of the day. It's the same # of working hours, but it's such a different mindset. Hope your day goes quicker!
@Sparty18 I'm admiring your pretty chart. Loving your timing too, FX for you!! Thanks for the feedback on the float spa. It shall remain on my bucket list.
    @chichiphin Disney! So jealous.

    Month/Cycle: 7/6

    CD: 12

WAYDTGKU: Same as yesterday. Starting OPKs today.

R/R: Rant: We had two non-finishers in a row last night and this morning... really hoping we can get in another BD tonight to stick to our EOD schedule. He has softball tonight though so I warned him that he better save some energy for later.  :|
Rave: Had a really good talk with my mom this morning on my drive in to work. She has a really big mouth so I don't often confide in her unless I want the whole world to know my business, but the topic of TTC came up organically so I mentioned that we've been trying and some of the struggles we've been having. I also finally got my referral to a specialist at one of the best hospitals in the city. I had all but given up on getting an appt with that clinic and asked my GP to refer me elsewhere but his amazing assistant got me in next week.

CS/Q: Vaginal temping is so much better than oral. I'm a lot more confident in the temps being accurate too.
Question - I switched to vaginal after AF left so should I be discarding those temps for CD1-3?

  • @kiki047 Oh, moving would definitely be a good thing!  First, it's a brand new building and they really spared no expense...every cubicle has a standing desk built in!  Also, my department is scattered in 3 different areas right now.  It will be nice when we move because we'll really feel like a single department instead of 3-4 different departments

R/R: Temping anxiety is getting to me again. I feel like I used to have a very clear temp rise after O, and things moved kind of slowly last month and it seems like it's going to again this month. My OPK was back to negative this morning, but I didn't get much of a rise. Granted the temp anxiety woke me up at 4:30 so I didn't get a great temp, but it's not at all clear if I O'd yet or not. I usually get a pretty distinct spike after O and it's not happening anymore. Is this indicative of any kind of issue? Low progesterone?

  • @general_organa As long as you have a clear ovulation pattern, I wouldn't worry.  The shift may not be as big as normal, but you did wake up and temp early so if you hadn't, your temp may have been bigger today.  Also, sometimes our bodies just like to be assholes and do things to throw us off.

Also @kiki047 I wouldn't worry about discarding those temps because they're so early in your cycle.  In future cycles, you can just wait until AF is done to start temping.

  • @kiki047 & @MRDCle Thanks, ladies. It is really frustrating to hear that all the time. I'm sure if I had another teacher in the classroom with me that I would move past it, but that isn't an option.
  • @meri-mac I'm so sorry. Totally uncalled for and unfair. I can relate to the anxiety myself and you're right - it's completely misunderstood. What gets me, however, is the callus disregard for others that are experiencing something that they don't understand.

@lulu1180 - Hrm. I'm finding that AF has been lighter and shorter, too. I was expecting the opposite TBH. Not that I'm complaining!

@marebear15 - I didn't POAS before AF. I had a hard time tracking O and DH has been in and out of town so timing was probably total crap this month. Maybe I should grab a stick on my way home from work...

@kiki047 - Huh. Sounds like I may be in a similar boat. Mind keeping us updated on what the specialist says? My last three AFs have been damn near dreamy with minimal PMS symptoms. I was attributing it to my daily use of Evening Primrose Oil which helped with my PMS while on the nuvaring.
  • @nitnat007 sorry your timing isn't what you planned for. That's always disappointing.

@harrierwife sorry for the confusing cycle! I've had a few where I've had two days of dumb spotting before full blown AF showed up. FX you get some clarity soon.

@lulu1180 thanks! I also woke up around 5 the past two days, so the temp increase is still not very much compared to those days. Womp womp.

@MRDCle the HIO marathon is getting to us too. I had to pull out some tricks last night to get DH to hurry it up.  :D Tonight is going to be 5 in a row and I really hope I O'd last night or today. I can't keep going lol

@marebear15 oh 9 pm end time for the party is not bad! I totally get having to squash everything into one weekend. Also, TW in spoiler
I wasn't temping but I was tracking CM when I was still BFing and I noticed my LP the first few months I got my period back was like 7 days. It did get a bit longer eventually as we cut down the number of nursing sessions per day, but I didn't really get a longer LP until DD was totally weaned. I think you're still nursing, right?

@thrgirlwhowaited this week is definitely going very slowly. It should be at least Thursday by now! Have I already told you I freaking love Dr Who (I'm assuming that's your username reference)? I'm so excited for the female Doctor this season!

@sparty18 I'm jealous. I wish we had space in our budget for a house cleaner! Looks like you had good timing if O was yesterday!

@chichiphin I love Disney. We went at the end of March and I can't wait to go back!

@meri-mac wow auntie in law was way out of line. I've battled depression off and on since I was 17 and I hate the stigmas associated with mental illness in western society (all society??). We need to spend more time talking about these things so comments like that don't happen! Hugs to you <3

@nmbrcrnchr1 sorry about the falling asleep! What is N&C?

@kiki047 I'm glad you had a good talk with your mom. And yay for getting an appointment so soon!

  • @general_organa There seem to be a lot of Dr Who fans on TB. I'm excited, but I'm so far behind. I just started season 9 last night. I have a lot of episodes to catch up on before October!
  • @general_organa How did I not know you’re a Doctor Who fan????  I’m also excited for the 13th Doctor and will be interested to see how it all plays out.  The recently released trailer for the upcoming season looks amazing!!!

Yes I'm still nursing twice a day and pumping 2 to 3 times a day. I'm hoping that my LP will lengthen even while I'm nursing but I'm less hopeful now.
  • @lulu1180 I haven't seen the trailer yet! I need to go find it! I've been trying so hard to get my bestie into DW, and she is into sci fi (she is a Trekkie) and also loves Sherlock, but for some reason I can't get her into DW. I mean the first season with Eccelston is kind of painful, but it's worth it to get through it!

It looks like after DD was night weaned and eating 3 meals of soilds a day my LP was 11 days, but it jumped up to 13 days after we completely weaned. So there's still some hope your LP will get above 10 at least! Plus every body is different and it might happen sooner for you than it did for me!

  • @general_organa N&C = Netflix and chill, a few months ago someone started using it instead of HIO in their WAYDTGKU update bc they didn’t like “HIO” as an acronym. So for a while a lot of us replaced HIO with N&C, but I’m one of the few still posting in the dailies who remembers that I believe.
  • @general_organa - THANK YOU for the FX because AF is officially in the house.

  • @nmbrcrnchr1 - I think I'm going to use N&C instead of HIO, now.

Though when DH and I actually N&C we end up falling asleep on the couch and waking to a blue screen in a dark house at 1:30 AM.
  • @nmbrcrnchr1 bahahahahaha neflix and chill is hilarious! Though, I'm with @harrierwife N&C in our house results with DH falling asleep on the couch and me yelling at him to go upstairs and put himself to bed lol.

  • @general_organa @lulu1180 @thrgirlwhowaited Yay for Whovians! I need to get caught up on the 12th doctor. Super far behind!
  • @meri-mac @thrgirlwhowaited If you have Amazon prime, I believe they have all of the episodes on there to watch.
