I got sick at Lowe's yesterday while my DH was taking his sweet @$$ time choosing a stain for the fence at our rental house (not what we were there for, and it was supposed to be a quick trip on the way to lunch). Then he was all witchy to me because he thought I was "rude" to the paint counter guy... I wasn't, just set my purse in the cart and ran away to yarf while DH ordered up the stain color. And then he wandered away to look at paint sprayers. He has NO compassion or concept of what I'm going through and it really burns my toast sometimes. He's a sweet guy, but gets so butthurt over the most random things!
@wkuandrea Sorry you got sick yesterday (and that your DH what being obnoxious about it). It's actually one of my biggest fears to get sick in a public place.. to the point of having to be on anxiety meds for it in college.. Luckily it hasn't happened to me in a while (knocks on wood). Hope you are feeling better today!
I told my husband this weekend I needed him to be more supportive during the pregnancy (it was a surprise pregnancy so he has had a hard time adjusting). And he said back that he would be more supportive when I started acting like a could handle two kids....like WTF. He pretty much immediately apologized because I think he realized what an a**hole he sounded like, but I was still upset with him for the rest of the night.
@wkuandrea I’m sorry you got sick. Men have no clue!
@drabong88 I’m glad your husband apologized. That was a total jerk thing to say.
I was up 4 times last night. DS was having a night terror, then he woke up with a bloody nose and refused to let me hold a tissue to his nose, then DS woke up at 5:15am with another bloddy nose but not as bad and actually let me put a tissue to his nose, and lastly the dogs were barking to be let out. DH was up with me the first two times. I guess I better get ready to have a newborn again.

Sounds like my husband! I posted the other day on the FFFC thread (but it woulda probably fit better on this one) about how I worked a long shift and had asked him to please have a simple dinner ready when I got home because I would be super hungry by then and needing to eat as soon as I got home to avoid getting super sick. He said he would. And then planned a complicated dinner that didn’t work out and had no food, no plan, and hungry kids when I got home. At this point I had a terrible headache brewing and was super nauseous. I told him we would need to get take out or something. He said “We’re not eating out.” I told him to make something for the kids, and that I was going to get takeout for myself because I needed to eat “right NOW!” When I got back, my 10 year old had made Mac n cheese for himself and his sisters. DH was mad at me for days. Seriously, HE was mad at ME. SMH.
I was supposed to do a shop from Home grocery order yesterday and ended up not getting to it. So I had to take DD grocery shopping this morning. Which is fine. Except I locked my keys in the house and had to drive an hour round trip out of the way after shopping to pick up a key from DH at his job before going back home. The delay in returning made DD grumpy because we were past nap time. She cried for like 15 minutes, fell asleep for the last 20 of the drive, and then fought a real nap when we got home for an hour.
Its going to be a long week.

My DS is teething and has been so fussy! No matter what I do he cries. Finally gave in and gave him his paci and he happily played for about 15 minutes before remembering he was cranky. At least I had a few minutes of happy from him today!
@drabong88 that was a total a-hole thing for your husband to say! Not to mention that one has literally nothing to do with the other. Why do they gotta be so clueless? Maybe they need more love and tenderness because they, too, are having a baby.... (GIANT EYE ROLL)
@libertymomrn I remembered your post and wondered how the Great Food Debate 2018 turned out! Good thing your 10 yr old is more mature than your husband. I'm sure I'll have some of those moments with my DH myself. I just try to think that I must do something that's really annoying and unbelievable to him, that if he had a BMB he'd go complain about... what that is, I'll never know
@Mandamay1414 barfing in public places is a terrible thing to have anxiety about! I'm a expert at it Isn't anxiety weird? Mine gets triggered by seeing large fish in a tank (like aquariums) -- and as far as I know, I have no trauma around fish or aquariums
Maybe this is more of a UO, but I'm glad we haven't started siggy challenges on this board yet... The Bump is annoying enough with the ads etc without all the extra gifs in the sigs. Don't get me wrong, I love me a good gif every once in a while, but waiting for them to load at the end of every post is super aggravating to me.
I'm in the process of ordering a new shower door and I put my dh in charge of measurements. I'm so glad I decided to re-measure this morning because somewhere in his mind he made up that the shower door is 72 inches when in reality its 65 inches!! That's a huge difference!! I'm so glad I didn't rely on his dumbass measurements because we would have been stuck with a door that doesn't fit.
Y'all… Work is killing me. Same client - see below interaction:
Contact #1 last week: we are 100% changing project management systems. We need to migrate X to Y by Friday (3 days notice) Me: Spends 12 hours over 2 days digging myself into a hole w/other work, migrating PM systems Contact #2 today: we haven't heard for sure if we're transitioning from X to Y. We need to continue using X until we hear otherwise.
Ahhh. Get it together, guys. Now I'm up to my eyeballs in work with nothing to show for it. Dying...
People who bathe themselves in cologne or perfume. I can't stand it when people don't regulate how much they spray on themselves. We were at a party this weekend and two different people smelled as if they doused themselves in cologne or perfume. I turned green. It's sickening, even when I'm not pregnant.
We took a little vacation in the mountains this weekend for my birthday and DH was grumpy most of the time. He had zero patience for DD being 2 and kept getting mad at her. So that made the trip less relaxing.
Plus last week my blood sugar was running high so I increased my insulin, and then I kept going low all weekend. I’m also pretty sure I have to start long-acting insulin as well. My blood sugar has been a lot harder to manage this pregnancy, I feel like my body just gave up.
@pttomato I’m sorry you’ve been having BG issues! I’m not diabetic, but it runs in my family so I keep a close eye out. I tend to get low BG levels during pregnancy, especially during the second trimester. Low blood sugar levels feel awful! They mad em more nauseous, and I also would feel light-headed, dizzy, and just out-of-it. I even passed out once, which was super embarrassing becaus I was at work. I had an A1C drawn with each pregnancy, and with baby number 2, my A1C was 4, which is actually too low, because of how often I was hypoglycemic. Not fun! I hope things even out for you!

There is a lady at work who douses herself in our tiny break room every. single. day. at the end of the shift. It smells horrible. I have no idea why she thinks this is a good idea
@emmaaa I'm getting a little bit of nausea back at night. Dinner is becoming my least favorite meal. One look at raw chicken and I have to go into the other room.
@kns1988 and @ladystout08 it's been raining here, too, since Saturday. Nonstop downpours. We went weeks without rain in dry, hot and humid conditions. It's like we are stuck in a vortex. The creeks and rivers are overflowing and the ground is getting saturated.
@Mandamay1414 that's terrible, especially if the breakroom is a place where you eat. The smell of food and perfume. Blech.
+1 to boo rain over here. It was sort of soothing to nap to over the weekend but then it got crazy intense last night and scared DD. Woke up this morning at 7 am to find that it was down pouring again. While the day stayed mostly dry, it picked up again tonight. It’s going to be a long week just bc of the weather alone! I don’t feel like going anywhere.
I have a popcorn kernel lodged deep between my tooth and gums. It's so painful I cant chew on one side!!! I also can NEVER find the floss in my house. How hard is it to put the floss away!?
My weather app literally is calling for some sort of rain everyday for the foreseeable future (like - until August). And so far it’s been just annoying enough that it showers on and off and you can’t predict it. And it’s still so humid so not even a break from that!
I’m all for a rainy day if I can commit to it just raining and staying inside. But this one and off stuff is nonsense.

The weather guy yesterday was like "The good news is, it'll hold off the heat wave. The bad news is, in the little periods of time it's not raining, it will still feel like it is b/c of the humidity." Like, thanks guy.
