Physically better. Nausea is mostly gone, I'm really just tired a lot. I might need to add a second Zantac in the evenings for this ridiculous indigestion.

No appointments until Aug 6. I'm trying not to freak out and go in for a doppler check. My OB keeps reassuring me that chances of loss are super slim at this point but I still get panicky.

10 Things I hate about you. I love that movie and will watch it any time I catch it on.

12 weeks -- a plum?

all of the fruit/veg comparisons crack me up

2. How are you feeling? Mentally and physically?
Mentally -- kind of weird now that we are telling people about the baby, it makes it so real. This is my 4th pregnancy and the first I've ever "announced" so it's just a super weird, jinx-y feeling.
Physically -- is there a light at the end of this nausea tunnel? I think so. I hope so. Food is still really unappealing.

3. Any appointment updates?
Had an appt last Friday and got to see baby girl doing flips which was really reassuring -- andmore pics where they actually look like a baby! Next appt is Aug 2.

4. Rants/Raves/Questions?
I went in for said appt because I have been having pee issues -- smell, thickness, etc. I have kidney issues so I wanted to make sure all was cool .I had tests run... but no call back from Dr. They suspected a yeast infection, but wanted me to wait to treat it to see if I needed additional meds. It's Wednesday guys. Get on it.

5. GTKY: What's one movie you can watch over and over again no matter how many times you've seen it?
How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. Hilarious. Funny coincidence: the characters are named Andi and Ben, and that's my DH and my names!

2. How are you feeling? Mentally and physically? I was feeling fine until this week. Like I said in the randoms thread, the closer we get to the gender sneak peek on Friday the more nervous I get that something has happened. I keep telling myself that I heard a nice, strong heartbeat two weeks ago but it’s not helping. Physically I’m fine though. Just tired in the afternoons.

3. Any appointment updates? gender sneak peek on Friday and 18week appointment on the 27th.

4. Rants/Raves/Questions? I finally found decaf chai tea and decaf earl grey tea at Kroger this week and I may have done a happy dance in the aisle. Decaf coffee tastes bitter to me but tea is another story. Being able to indulge my tastebuds without guilt or anxiety is the best!

@wkuandrea I totally get what you mean about the weirdness telling people. I've actually been letting DS do it b/c I can't bring myself to do it. He asked if he could finally tell his class mates and I said ok, he's been holding on to it for like a month which is amazing for a five year old!

I sent a message through my patient portal to my nurses about the fact that I started my baby aspirin now that I'm twelve weeks. I also mentioned that I had tried to find the HB at home and didn't have any luck. They called me while I was in the server room at work and told me to stop by for a doppler check so I'm going to do that. I wish I could relax and just enjoy this pregnancy.

I had some fairly persistent cramping today (no bleeding or lots of discharge, just pinchy cramps in my lower pelvis) so I called the nurse line for my midwife. They said it’s probably nothing to worry about but they are having me come in tomorrow at 8am just to be sure. FX that this is just me being overly cautious and baby is fine.

Thanks @tosh24 . I'm going in over my lunch today b/c the nurse and I played phone tag until after they closed yesterday. Hopefully it's just five minutes in and out. The shirts for our announcement pic should be in today as well so if all goes well during the HB check I'll probably take some pics and announce soon.

I went in for my appointment this morning and everything is fine. My midwife did a pelvic exam and said my cervix looked great, no signs of infections either. She tried to find the heartbeat with the Doppler but couldn’t (cue panic from me). I ended up having an ultrasound and saw our little tater tot. Heartbeat was a strong 155bpm but baby didn’t really move around much. Midwife said the cramping isn’t anything to worry about and baby looks healthy so try not to worry.

Since I was there today they went ahead and did my blood work for my quad screen and rescheduled my next appointment for August 10th which will be my anatomy scan!

Feeling okay mentally, but it definitely sucks being in-between appointments. Next one is 2 weeks away. Physically, still dealing with headaches, crazy heartburn, some nausea, and major sciatica pain.

I’ve been planning to announce on social media but every time I’m about to do it I get so anxious. Have the picture already just can’t make myself do it! May do it this weekend.

Nope. Next appointment is week from Saturday when I’ll find out boy or girl!

Wheeeeeeeeeeeew this little girl y'all. So sure enough, the nurse couldn't find her either. She tried for like 5 excruciating minutes with the doppler. She finally gave up and went to get an U/S machine. Came back and it took another solid minute just to find her. Finally get her and we see her kick (at) the U/S wand and flip away from us. She had to readjust to find her again. The nurse (who's a friend of a friend so we sorta know each other) was like "oooooh little girl!" and we just laughed. She printed a pic and asked if I felt better and I said yes. My friend recommended a book called "Raising your spirited child" lol

Tl;dr she's fine and I feel better.

A friend of mine was like "I wonder where she gets that from........" as she side eyes me. lol She's going to need a fierce name to live up to the attitude I think we're gonna get.

Fantastic news @ladystout08!!!!! So glad baby is OK! Good luck with that fiesty girl of yours LOL. I have a "spirited" (if that's what you want to call it) girl of my own, and I love her to pieces, but holy hell I want to pull my hair out sometimes (read: most days). We named her Alexandra. It's been quite fitting....

15+4- eggo waffle? Mmmm waffles....

2. How are you feeling? Mentally and physically?
energy is coming back which my 2yo appreciates greatly. Mentally struggling. We got our poor fetal diagnoses in Our 1st pregnancy from our quad screen and 20 week anatomy scan, so lots of anxiety and triggers in the coming weeks....

3. Any appointment updates?
MFM decided to go ahead with an extra anatomy scan next week at 16.5. We did this with our daughter (second pregnancy) to potentially diagnose anomalies earlier. Happy to have the early scan, but will be holding my breath until those glorious words are uttered- "everything looks great..."

4. Rants/Raves/Questions?
Stop telling me now is a good time to announce my pregnancy because my risk of miscarriage is lower. You don't know me app, and you dont know what I've been through. That is all.....

5. GTKY: What's one movie you can watch over and over again no matter how many times you've seen it?
Empire Records. Can't even leave the house, all plans are postponed until further notice...

Physically I am still nausea and so over it... long days at work don’t help and right before my appointment yesterday I got pulled in to a meeting with my bosses and the other pregnant person to be told that once we get back to work we really only 5 days of time off without pay before the company will terminate us (they use all your paid time off at the same time as FMLA).
3. Any appointment updates?
We had our NT appointment yesterday and the baby was healthy so my husband and I are super excited and are allowing our close friends and families to tell others.

4. Rants/Raves/Questions?
Our AC was out for four days and finally just got it working again and I have never been more thankful.

5. GTKY: What's one movie you can watch over and over again no matter how many times you've seen it?
mine is the Little Rascals it is a kids movie that was out when I was a kid and I can’t wait to share it with my kid.

I was just going to comment, how i'm nervous to announce anything on social media, but it looks like i'm not alone in feeling that way. I think i'm going to wait until my 20 week scan. What's 4 more weeks?

@galactickates I'm back and forth on the social media announcement, too.. But we have 2 weddings in Sept and I don't want to show up 20 some weeks pregnant (they are my husband's friends, so it would be weird if I texted them.. and I know he won't). I'm thinking I'll wait until after my NT scan on Tues then post something on facebook..

@Mandamay1414 I waited until my NT scan to start announcing to everyone and allow my family to do the same. I left social media a year ago so that announcement won’t happen but if I was still on this is when I would announce

My NT scan is Wednesday... the closer it gets, the more nervous I get, especially since I've had brown discharge/spotting for the last week. I heard the HB via doppler at an appt at 10 wks, and I know that the risk of loss is much lower this far along, but my usually rational brain won't accept these facts. Like others have said, I feel like I won't relax until this kid is born.
