  • 1. How many weeks are you? 9 What size is baby? Cherry

    2. How are you feeling? Still miserable but I know it could be a lot worse

    3. Any appointments this week? US Monday was good. Nothing on the schedule until August 6

    4. Rants/ raves/ questions? Sooooo tired

    5. GTKY: What is your best morning sickness remedy? Ha! Nothing I've tried has ever worked. Except birth. Sorry  :'(

  • 1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby? 10 weeks. Baby is the size of a cardinal tetra fish.

    2. How are you feeling? Not too bad. The nausea is decreasing. I’m still having a lot of insomnia and interrupted sleep though, which sucks. I’ll be so glad when the weather cools down. I always sleep better when it’s cool.

    3. Any appointments this week? Nope, but finally picked a provider! My first appt with her will be 7/27.

    4. Rants/ raves/ questions? Spending the day with a friend today, so I’m looking forward to that. We’re teaching a class together in the fall, so we’re trying to get that prepped. It’ll be good to get some work done as I’ve been to distracted by pregnancy to prep much so far this summer.

    5. GTKY: What is your best morning sickness remedy? I always feel worse when I’m hungry, so eating is my remedy. I try to eat lots of protein to stay full as much as I can.

@notthecheat Glad your u/s went well!

    1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby? - 9 weeks, cherry!

    2. How are you feeling? - Okay. Nausea comes and goes, I’ve come to terms with the fact that my boobs will never not hurt. Mentally I feel great though! Seeing the baby and heartbeat was really reassuring.

    3. Any appointments this week? - Had my first US yesterday, it went really well! Next up is the first tri scan in early August. Don’t have a date yet though, the friggin imagining department aren’t picking up or returning my calls.

    4. Rants/ raves/ questions? - Finally telling my inlaws this week! I feel bad for having kept them in the dark for way longer than my parents, but I don’t think they would have handled a potential loss well as they’ve been pining for a grandchild for years.

    5. GTKY: What is your best morning sickness remedy? Eating frequently seems to work. As soon as I start feeling hungry I also start feeling nauseous, so I have to try to constantly nibble on something. Problem is, I forget to eat unless I feel hungry, so I end up nauseous anyway.

  • 1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby?

    9 weeks, a cherry

    2. How are you feeling?

more hungry, really awful driving home from work, I think it's the heat and needing to eat.

    3. Any appointments this week?

    nope

    4. Rants/ raves/ questions?

    none

    5. GTKY: What is your best morning sickness remedy?

wish i had one. so far I've tried water, and just eventually throwing up.

  • 1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby?
    10 weeks, strawberry!

    2. How are you feeling?
Pretty good. Symptoms have all subsided or disappeared completely. Mentally that was tough at first but I've sort of gotten used to it. Every little flicker of nausea, boob soreness, fatigue is reassuring.

    3. Any appointments this week?
A prenatal appointment with my regular doctor. I so so wish it were an US...

    4. Rants/ raves/ questions?
Minor rant: my MIL is normally the best but this pregnancy has turned her into a bit of a loon. This morning she sent me a screenshot of an app she has to track my pregnancy :# And I know for a fact that she is making an effort to not be over the top invasive. Thank goodness we live 6 hours away .... She's coming to visit this weekend with FIL and I'm already making mental notes of excuses to lie in bed and be antisocial.

    5. GTKY: What is your best morning sickness remedy?
Eating often has done the trick for me but my nausea has been very mild so I don't think it counts. FX I haven't just jinxed myself!
  • 1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby?

10 weeks! Baby is the size of a strawberry!

    2. How are you feeling?

Fine! I've only felt a little nauseous a few times in the morning when I was hungry and had a later breakfast, but as soon as I ate I felt better! Boobs still sore, of course and I've been having those strange pregnancy dreams! Also, last week my lower back started to feel tight and sore. My sis-in-law told me that it's a normal pregnancy thing. It doesn't bother me all the time, just usually when I'm lying on my back or when I get up in the night to pee (which is happening 2 or 3 times a night now!!)

    3. Any appointments this week?

FIRST ULTRASOUND TOMORROW!! Hoping and praying to see a healthy baby with a strong heartbeat! I think this will all start to feel more real when we finally get to see our little bean and get some much-needed reassurance!

    4. Rants/ raves/ questions?

Just excited and nervous for tomorrow!

    5. GTKY: What is your best morning sickness remedy?

    Eating breakfast!

@becks_726 Oh god, the MIL app thing is just too much. I’m scared mine will be like that too, except she’s not tech savvy enough for apps!

@eliseirene31613 Yay for US tomorrow! So exciting! Hope everything goes well!

  • Thank you @grebretso. DH kind of brushed it off so I wasn't sure if I was being overly sensitive... I hope your MIL surprises you pleasantly!
@eliseirene31613 good luck tomorrow! I hope it's as magical as mine was. Report back!
  • @becks_726- WOW about your MIL! that is just crazy. I mean if she is going to do that, at least dont tell you about it hahah!

@eliseirene31613- good luck on the ultrasound tomorrow! I couldn't imagine having to wait this long, you ladies are so tough!

    1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby? I am 9 weeks like alot of you ladies!

    2. How are you feeling? Its been a little rough with the nausea. I got scolded yesterday by my RE/nurse since I lost 4lbs in 4 weeks, which I am definitely NOT trying to do. I just have no hunger and its so hard to force myself to eat when nothing sounds good. But i am going to try harder. I am already on Diclegis 4 times per day, so not sure what else they could give me

    3. Any appointments this week? Yes- I graduated from my RE who I have been with 1.5 years! Its hard to say goodbye to the awesome staff they have and weekly ultrasounds, but its exciting too. I meet with my OB next week. I am not sure what there protcol is for ultrasounds, but I am going to push for lots of them since I am still high risk with a large SCH and one viable baby and one non viable baby. Lots going on in there that we need to keep track of I think.

    4. Rants/ raves/ questions? Not much that I didn't mention above. Really just praying our one miracle baby keeps growing. I have been lucky to have 5 ultrasounds in the last 4 weeks, but not sure how I am going to feel without them. I would like to get a doppler, but I have a retroverted/tipped uterus and I have heard its harder to find the HB with them.

    5. GTKY: What is your best morning sickness remedy? As I said above, I am taking Diclegis, which I believe is just unisom/B6. I also agree with the others that eating more oftem helps, but its hard to eat all the time when you aren't hungry!

    1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby? 11 weeks- baby is the size of a lime!

    2. How are you feeling?

Tired and usually have heartburn. Blessed that I don’t have nausea. Smells are so intense sometimes! But I usually am so happy I’m pregnant!

    3. Any appointments this week?

No, next week July 25! Yeah! I have already had 6 week and 8 week appts.

    4. Rants/ raves/ questions?

I can’t stand the way I smell the day or two after I eat anything with garlic... I think it is crazy I can smell myself. I’m talking the most minimal amount! It’s not my breath, it’s like coming out of my pores! Wtf! And that means my husband usually stinks. Oops.

    5. GTKY: What is your best morning sickness remedy? I have been blessed with no sickness. However I did buy a relief band and haven’t needed to use it. It’s like a high tech sea band.

  • Omg @becks_726 creeper! Lol. Sounds like your MIL has a good heart but that would definitely be a little much for me too. I don't see most guys really understanding that though.

    Thanks @darkstar42<3

@grebretso I spent 15 minutes on hold until I could make my US appt -_- I'm sorry you're dealing with that. It's the worst.

@ohsunnydays It sounds really weird but I've definitely been smelling more of myself too. Mostly right after I wake up. And my pee has a stronger odor too. Gross.
  • @notthecheat- I hear you on the smells! I normally can't smell anything- just have a bad nose I guess. but now I can smell everything and I don't think I like it! Too many gross smells for sure! Makes me worried i have smelled in the past and just never knew it or something!

  • @Becks0143 Your MIL downloading the app is creepy AF, I guess everybody shows their excitement in different ways!

@notthecheat I am with you on the smells thing. It's been a hot July so far in the Bay and there are a lot of no-deodorant-wearing, crunchy-types that call this area home. Someone help me!

@eliseirene31613 What a wonderful surprise! It's funny, I usually end up measuring a few days behind because of my wonky cycles, but I'll still hold out hope for an earlier due date!

    1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby? 9 weeks, cherry (mmmm, cherries)

    2. How are you feeling? Pretty good overall, though exhaustion is a mostly constant issue which leads to low motivation, especially at work. I've also had a couple of light bouts of nausea, but usually when I'm due to eat something.

    3. Any appointments this week? Nope. My first US is scheduled next Wednesday when I'll be 10 weeks along. I seriously cannot wait! Once we see little dude is good in there, we can finally start sharing the news.

    4. Rants/ raves/ questions? I used my home doppler to try to find LO's heartbeat a couple nights ago to no avail. I was feeling extra confident because I've detected a fetal heart rate on a patient as early as 8 weeks, but it was with a hospital-grade machine. I seriously tried on myself for like 10 minutes and wasted a bunch of gel, plus DH was side-eyeing me on the other side of the bed saying, "I told you not to even try, now you're gonna think something's wrong." Ugh, he was right!

    5. GTKY: What is your best morning sickness remedy? Preggo pops, mint tea, ginger tea, sea-bands, ice cold water, or a delicious, carby snack.

  • @JamieH2000 omg same! I used to be able to smell very well as a kid. Whe I was a pre-teen I got a REALLY bad sinus infection and ever since, my sinuses have been effed up, and I haven't been able to smell hardly anything. So recently I have been having the same paranoid thoughts: "omg, is this really what I smell like all the time to everyone else??"  :#
  • @notthecheat- i ask my husband lots if I smell since I just honestly can't tell! So far he always says no... but its like be honest with me, i need to know!

@mrscalirn- where do you get the pregnancy pops?!

  • Thank you for making me feel better about finding my MIL a bit creepy with her app, @MrsCaliRN, @notthecheat, @JamieH2000! This weekend she actually said to me that she wasn't sure if it was creepy or not but I didn't want to rain on her parade so I nodded and smiled. She then proceeded to show the app and tell me great it is because it gives her daily updates! :#
I'm laughing at it now but I'm going to be keeping an eye on her!
