I’m stabby because our roof is leaking (again). We’ve already had a handyman and a roofing company come out over the last couple months to fix it, but nothing has worked!!! It previously leaked through the attic and to the ceiling of the kitchen (which has just been repainted less than a year ago) and now we have brown-ish yellow spots on the kitchen ceiling that we’ve been waiting to dry out so we can fix it and repaint it again.

On one hand, I am *super* thankful both the roof and our basement stayed dry while we were on our babymoon. On the other hand, I’m pissed that buckets of water are coming into the attic ceiling again. DH had an 8+ hour flight home tonight and is on a 5/6 hour time change and since the second he walked through the door he’s been dealing with the leaky roof.

I started writing this and didn’t hit send earlier... we just got back from Home Depot and you know it’s a bad storm when even the roof at HD is leaking (and we saw several other folks also looking for roof repair/plug/bucket type items. Ugh. So much for baby prep
this weekend - it will be stupid roof repairs AGAIN. Grumble.

ETA: After a 2nd trip to HD, we arrive back home and our basement is now flooded too. It was dry two hours ago, but now we have 2+ inches is water. Flash flooding is the worst.

I am very much looking forward to dh spending a few days with our baby alone to see how quickly a day goes. I work from home so maybe I will just have to set up to work at the library or something! I am stabby because thinking about it I am sure kid will be totally different when with him vs me. Our dogs just sleep when it is just him home. I get bugged to go outside. Plus I fell guilty as I know they are bored as DH doesn't normally play with them when he gets home. I am their entertainment (so my day is constantly interrupted by dogs and a million other non work things) though they LOVE to play with him.

Stabby with the weather. On again, off rain and overcast skies made for a depressing Saturday for me. Took the kids out to a local festival and got wet. Since we finally got our 2nd car back since the accident 3 weeks ago I had to get out the house.

Our internet is out AGAIN. We have two options in our apartment complex - Spectrum or AT&T. We went with Spectrum because I love the idea of no contract, but it’s constantly out or we have to switch from our 2G to 5G 80000 times a day. I’m about to just get back into a contract because this is ridiculous. Total FWP.

Also it’s too damn hot. It got up to 107 today but felt like 111. It’s supposed to be 108 tomorrow. I’m too pregnant for this shit.

@tlmill girl I feel ya. It was like 100-101 ish today, and felt like 109. 38% humidity when it's 100+ out. How is that possible?!?! And 104 predicted on Monday? Stay cool this weekend!

@tlmill ugh, you win...we're down to 87 now, but feels like 97 with humidity. I'm really struggling to stay hydrated, and I don't even go outside!! I'm trying to drink more water but its so hard when i always feel full.

@jemmerjams same here with the water. And I sooo want to stay inside all the time but I have to get DD and DS so they can burn off their energy. We’ve been going to our complex’s pool at like 10 am every day. At least the water feels good. Also I know you’ll appreciate this:

DH got wasted and is staying the night at a friends. I‘m glad he’s being safe, and this is his one pass night of the year, but im
still annoyed. I’m totally codependent and can’t sleep without him.

I’m stabby because my friend is hosting a birthday party for her 4 year old at 11 am. From 11-3. What person with kids would ever choose that time? It’s gonna be a shit ton of 3-4 year olds losing their minds because it runs completely over naptime. It’s at her house, so there is no logistical reason it cant be at say, 10. Ugh tomorrow is gonna succccck.

also Dh and I got into a prety heated argument about this baby name. I honestly worry we won’t ever agree on it and one of us will have to give in, which is shitty.

our discussions never went well but they have gotten better. We have two girls names to choose from at birth (still need middle names) but still need boy name options and we are so opposite on them.

Sorry about the argument

my DH and I weren’t agreeing on a name and I was in love with one. We ended up finding a different name I love even more and he loves too. Maybe you can find something else you equally love in the coming months!

DH and I fought about finances today which is frustrating. He took a new job in May, which came with a pay cut. Not only was his hourly wage cut, but he also doesn't get OT anymore. We agreed for him to take it because it would mean a consistent schedule and less work time. We knew the pay cut would make things tough. He's all stressed now and feels like I'm blaming him. I'm not, we made this decision together. But I am encouraging him to try and find over time where he can. I feel like he was stressed about his old job and now he's stressed about money with the new one and I can't win.

@sammierose464 my Dh and I have been weighing the pros and cons of a similar move. His current job is about 45 minutes-1 hour away which is especially inconvenient with the kids being so small and no family support. We were toying with the idea of him looking for work closer to home even if it meant a pay cut, but now with us buying a new house we can't decide if he should wait for a while or just give it a try.

Been missing for a little as we have some health issues from my husband we are trying to get answers on. But last night we were looking at Amazon so he saw all the stuff I had on our private registry. He asked about the cloth diapers Ina not so great way. Resoponded that he was open to trying cloth out and he said no. Really dude? How can you not remember that conversation because you mentioned the concern for the washer. You than talked to another guy who used to cloth and he told you there is prewash and double wash so you could tell he was worried. I was so shocked when he said he never said was OK with giving cloth a try I didn't think of any of until later. Now to bring up this fun conversation again. And of course I hadn't ordered any new cloth diapers yet. Dang! I do have a few used ones.

@SweetSweetTooth I wanted to cloth diaper so bad but SO was not having it. He's the SAHP right now so I couldn't even argue with him on it. I hope you guys can talk it out and he comes around.
