1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby?
28 weeks and officially started the third trimester! Eek! Baby is the size of a baseball cap or eggplant.
2. How are you feeling? I ate like crap over the weekend and I had the start of heartburn yet not. It was like it wanted to and gave up lol I also felt super nauseated this morning driving to work and I was always keeping an eye out for a good place to pull over as I didn't have a big cup to puke in (like others have suggested). Thankfully I didn't have to stop and am now feeling better.no more junk for me!
3. Any appointments this week? Monday meeting with the midwife and letting her know I am changing providers and birth locations. Hope she is kind.
4. Rants/raves/questions?
time to start doing kick counts each day! 10 movements in 2 hours. Dr suggested if I haven't felt baby move enough during the day to eat something, drink something, and lay down someplace with no or limited distractions. I have been doing it the past few weeks just to get in the habit!
Rant - I am stuck working outside today and the vendor next to me is smoking. Really guys? You don't see a pregnant lady that can't escape? I understand we are outside but I am still breathing that crap. Also another vent. I don't have the balls to kindly ask that they not smoke in their spot. I have a fan blowing on my face and it is keeping the smoke away.

My 'Skillet' station on pandora otherwise just the radio when driving around.

25 weeks. Cauliflower or rutabaga

Feeling pretty good, insomnia is bad and now dealing with numbs hands when I sleep
3. Any appointments this week?
Dr appt this week, finally get the results from my anatomy scan done at 22 weeks and confirmation that I don’t have GD

28 weeks, eggplant! (Holy cow, I remember when she was the size of an m&m. Where is the time going??)
2. How are you feeling?
Good, no complaints today luckily. Had some ankle and foot swelling over the week which was annoying but that seems to have gone away. Probably because we ate out a bunch since we were so busy this week.. hoping to get back to normal meal prep this week now that I'll be done with grad school on Tuesday!
3. Any appointments this week?
Regular chiropractor apts + Glucose screening on Wednesday.. not looking forward to that.

I know people are just trying to be polite but I'm tired of answering "how are you feeling?" every single day. I'm running out of more than one word answers. Can we talk about something other than my pregnancy?

Hmm. It's a toss up between one of my hard rock/screamo playlists on Spotify and Taylor Swift haha
@jellybelly114 - I’ve found thar being honest in situations like that is awesome: “I’m feeling really crappy because I haven’t gotten more than 4 hours of decent sleep in the last week between the constant peeing, heartburn and pregnancy induced insomnia. But hey! Baby spent all night kicking me in the belly button- so that was kind of cool. How are you?”
ETA: They’ll either stop asking you or commiserate about their own experience with pregnancy. Both are suitable outcomes for me.

27 weeks - a fennec fox (or lettuce)
2. How are you feeling?
Anxious. DS1 was born at 27 weeks and I’ve been having some cramping... nothing regular, but noticeable
3. Any appointments this week?
Accupuncture Monday, OB and Ultrasound Thursday, and I need to book a lab appointment for the GD screen. And I’m waiting to hear my MRI results
4. Rants/raves/questions?
As always - kids are being a bit much. Summer break is slowly killing my sanity

Probably ‘The Tragically Hip’ but I don’t expect anyone outside of Canada to know them.

2. How are you feeling?
Pretty good. Sleep is hit or miss, and I get restless legs so bad at night. Other than that I can’t complain!!
3. Any appointments this week?
Yes! Glucose test on Wednesday and we’ll do a follow up u/s to check on baby’s kidney that had some fluid around it from anatomy scan. Super anxious for both things, and can’t wait to see baby again!
4. Rants/raves/questions?
Definitely struggling with my kids lately (3.5 and almost 2). I feel like I’m constantly questioning whether I’m being too hard on them or not hard enough. I feel like my 3 year old has total control over the house and sometimes I remind myself he’s only 3 and I need to simmer down. The issue now is my 21 month old is following everything big brother is doing...including all of the bad choices!

Really into Podcasts right now so choosing those over music every time I’m in the car!

25 weeks - cauliflower!
2. How are you feeling?
Pretty good - heartburn has lessened thankfully. Definitely starting to get some pelvic pain and feeling large and uncomfortable but overall this is the best I’ve felt so far!
3. Any appointments this week?
Yes - midwife apt today and should get my three ultrasound results (baby wouldn’t cooperate and show his/her heart properly the first two times), and I imagine I’ll be sent for a GD test this time as well.
4. Rants/raves/questions?
I’m so tired all the time now and because I’m getting achy it’s making my motivation to work very low. I’d love to go off a bit earlier this time but I don’t want to waste much of my maternity leave before baby comes as I’d really like to stay home until he/she turns one before going back. (We get a year of mat leave in Canada) I keep having to remind myself there’s only three months of work left which I’m sure will fly by!
5. GTKY: Who’s your go to band or artist when you can’t decide on something to listen to?
Umm...I don’t know. I have super eclectic tastes and am not someone who needs music on all the time - I prefer silence if given a choice most of the time!

2. How are you feeling?
Pretty good. Just a bit achy and tired at all times and I get heartburn about every other day.
3. Any appointments this week?
Nothing until Aug 9th. OB decided I am no longer high risk so I got a nice break this go.
4. Rants/raves/questions?
Oh gosh, I just wish I had more motivation right now. All I’ve gotten thus far is a stroller/car seat. The nursery is still DS’s playroom.
