@stothi had almost zero SPD this time until I was a moron getting out of a pool on mother’s day and flared it up again. But i’ve been taking it super easy and doing my PT stretches and moves from last time and it’s basically gone again. I was sure I’d be dealing with it again this pregnancy and have be so thrilled I’ve been able to avoid it!
@AdmiralKitty glad your overdoing it didn’t result in anything serious. I way overdid things moving heavy boxes and furniture Thursday night and then spent several hours afterwards lying in the floor in too much pain to climb into bed. Lesson learned.
@stothi I had awful SPD with my son. DH regularly had to help me out of bed, considered becoming a nudist so that I wouldn’t have to put pants on and I ended up with a serious fear of pregnancy. Yet this one has been an absolute breeze. Occasionally I get out of bed stupid and it hurts for half a second, but I think my husband thinks I was faking last time because of how easy this one is. So there is hope!
+1 to thinking about Halloween costumes. DH is too. We want to go all NPH and David Burtka, but it’s so hard to plan without knowing if the snow will be here yet or not.
@nackie I have started to think about them. Kind of hoping one of the dogs costumes will just fit the baby. totally kidding, but they really might fit.
Yaassss for Halloween!!! When my daughter was born (sept 30) she was a kitty cat her first halloween. I really want a cute costume for this one (boy) but have no clue....I guess this just became my new google subject this week haha.
@nackie Yes! We’ve Always done family costumes (we include the dogs). We’re leaning towards a Star Wars theme this year but have also considered various Disney movies.
@Asunshinek Will you have DD and DS match? Y’all, I’m a sucker for matching sibling costumes.
@Asunshinek my toddler was a kitty cat last Halloween and I'm seriously considering just all 4 of us (me, hubby, toddler, new baby) going as cats this year. I figure it might be the easiest costume for me to figure out with nursing and tiredness. Black nursing top, check! Black yoga pants, check! Kitty cat ears and a painted nose and whiskers, check! Maybe I'll get fancy and find a tail?
I'm also considering zoo keeper. Dress the new little as a monkey or a sloth. Something the clings and cuddles. Then hubby and son can pick whatever they want and again my outfit is simple with beige/brown and a hat.
So yes @nackie I've totally been thinking about Halloween since I got the plus sign on my pregnancy test! That's what everyone does right? "Oh, look! I'm pregnant! Yay! What should be we all be for Halloween!?'
I wanted to do a lion, tiger, and bear for last Halloween but I figured I’d wait another year until DD was walking and old enough to actually go somewhere for Halloween (ie the festival at my old elementary school). Now that we’ll have another kid I have to figure out a 4th outfit. Maybe baby will wear a onesie that says “Oh my!”
@AdmiralKitty I'm so glad baby girl is doing ok! As everyone has said, we seem to all be having a problem with not overdoing it.

Halloween costumes- I am determined to do a Harry Potter costume this year DS is totally getting a "mandrake" hat and I'm dressing up as Professor Sprout with some pink ear muffs. Wrap him up on me and just go with that.
Halloween is the best ever. Started planning costumes literally as soon as we decided to stop contraception. So my toddler will Winnie the Pooh, husband Tigger, and baby and I will be Kanga and Roo. +1 for baby carrying costumes. Last year I did Dorothy because I had a dress up apron for it, and my son was a lion, we had our black dachshund as toto, no costume needed, with husband as a scare crow-easiest ever.
First Halloween for my son-we used a huge embroidery hoop to make an upside down top hat- that suspended from my shoulders, husband wore a black suit and cape so he was a magician and I was his hat, son is carrier as a rabbit.

@nackie@Asunshinek DD wanted to be a butterfly this year, now she wants to be a “rainbow kitty”, whatever that is. I may dress DS up as a mouse if she sticks with her cat idea!
DD was born 9/20 @Asunshinek and I stuck a cupcake hat on her and called it good her first Halloween
@knitknitread PLEASE do the mandrake costume!! ❤️ PPD me didn’t want to do a cosplay, but I drew a little lightning bolt on DS’s forehead when we went to a comic expo when he was a few months old. It was well received by so many people there! We did a photo op with Tom Felton and he laughed saying “look a little Potter!” before our picture was taken. Very fun memory.
We’re thinking of doing a Pokémon costume. I’ll be Misty, DH will be Ash and DS will be Pikachu. I want to decorate a baby carrier like Togepi and make a little togepi hat for baby.
@AdmiralKitty, glad that you and baby girl are doing alright!
I seriously need to channel each of your Halloween energy - the idea of taking out 4 kids (barely) 6 and under has my pregnant self exhausted at the moment. Last year, the boys (and I) all went as lumberjacks (the older boys refused to wear the Spiderman costumes they asked for). I think that I may make sure that we have some flannel shirts and suspender material as back-up again - the older boys tend to be really picky about how clothing feels and in general just don't seem to care for dress up.
Oh gosh, haven't thought about halloween yet! But I'm definitely sewing up something cute for lil munchkin!
Having a hard time sleeping in today because we're having our shower today! Our family and friends are in town and it's bringing on all the feels can't wait to have everyone in the same place and just enjoy and relax! We're doing a big backyard BBQ with a couple of shower elements, excited to see what everyone writes on the diapers were putting out. Will make for some interesting 3am changings Also doing a relay race, should bring on some big laughs!
@lilidubs At first I was thought “wow, so early for a shower!” then quickly remembered how far along we all are! I hope you have a wonderful shower. I love the diaper idea, super cute.
Thanks so much ladies! I'm so excited! Since it's pretty hot here in the summer, I didn't want to be huge during my shower so we scheduled it a lil on the early side but I'm guessing some of you ladies have showers coming up soon?
@klj0228 haha, that’s so cute. I think DS is going to want to be a firefighter or construction worker, so I’m trying to think of something cute that baby could be to go with either of those

@SkilledSailor I thought about having dd and ds do a theme but I will let DD pick out what she wants to be and go from there. Right now she says she wants to be an uma? Something to do with descendants? I have no idea....that will be another google topic lol. At first she said a police officer and I was all giddy liek YES!! baby can be the prisoner then....easy....but now it is this uma person thing. So if anybody has any clue about that.....please enlighten me lol
@ready44 I recently discovered little adventures dress up clothes, they are designed with comfort and durability in mind! I watch for sales and was able to get an Anna and an Elsa dress for $20 total. Always free shipping. They have fun boy stuff too!

@stothi Haha it's my new summer goal to be moving so slowly that I grow moss.
