Ticker change simply means that you have started a new week of pregnancy. For example, I go from 27 weeks to 28 weeks on Wednesday 7/11, so my “ticker” changes on Wednesdays. It is our way of marking a milestone.

28 wks - a bowling pin (which seems really big!)
2. How are you feeling?
Grumpy and pissy and short tempered - which is really atypical for me. I blame the horomones.
Otherwise, a little bit of RLP and heartburn.
3. Any appointments this week?
Friday is my 28wk OB appt; Saturday I’m going for my 3hr glucose test.
4. Rants/raves/questions?
Starting to get Baby Shower gifts, which is awesome and crazy! Also, I unexpectedly ended up putting together my stroller last night- it was super easy to do, and another thing off of my to-do list.

South Africa (during the period that I was living in Alaska)
1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby?
28 weeks, size of an eggplant.
2. How are you feeling?
Larger, stretched, tired, but generally pretty good. Can’t walk for 5 min without having to pee. Feeling a little less hormonal and moody the last few days. The weekend was a rollercoaster for my emotions.
3. Any appointments this week?
I did my 1 hr glucose tolerance test yesterday. I saw the result online (92). This seemed normal so I think I passed. My doctor really only calls if there are concerns with the blood work, otherwise we just review the normal results at my next appointment, which is at the end of July. Can’t believe the appointment go to every 2 weeks after that.
4. Rants/raves/questions?
I also got a few baby shower gifts too and was so surprised when they arrived!! My shower isn’t until 9/8. I’d never complain abour such a nice gesture, but I just hope I’ll be there and able to enjoy it at 36 weeks pregnant.

Germany

24 weeks, viability!! Per TB I've got a cantaloupe in the making.
2. How are you feeling?
Generally good. I do feel a waddle in my walk just because my back muscles feel so relaxed.
3. Any appointments this week?
3 hour glucose test on Friday and regular OB appt.
4. Rants/raves/questions?
We finally have a move in date to our apartment!! Next week we can start moving in and settling in for the next year! I'm so excited to have our own space - hopefully we find a permanent home soon. Before Christmas would be nice!

Europe - Italy/Germany/France/Netherlands

26 weeks. Butternut squash.
2. How are you feeling?
Fine throughout the day unless I take a walk longer than 15 minutes, then my hips and pelvic bone get angry. Really bad rib pain when trying to sleep on my side
. Boobs are now only itchy where they connect to the chest; Not any less annoying 
. I’ve had random leg pains at night recently

I see my midwife tomorrow! I think I’ll get vaccinated due to Rh factor

I honestly had so many things to ask or rant about throughout the week but now when I get here... nothing haha

cranky, irritable, tired, heartburn, other than that Im just peachy

I had my regular OB appointment Monday, did my 1 hr glucose test and failed
Now I need to plan for my 3 hr glucose test.
4. Rants/raves/questions?
Question about the 3 hr glucose test, I was given info from my doctor to carb load for 3 days prior to the test. Did anyone else get this info? I haven't heard it before so I was curious. With my first I was told nothing different except for fasting for the 3 hr. I will probably shoot my dr a message about it today and see what she says.
Raves: speaking of 7/11 today is free slurpee day!!!
5. GTKY: Where is the farthest you've ever traveled from home?
California and I live in Maryland, so I hopped the coast. I would like to travel to Italy and Ireland one day.

2. How are you feeling?
Honestly still pretty good. Overdid the abs a bit Monday, but the weird feeling from that is fading and LO has been kicking up a storm the last few days
3. Any appointments this week?
Checkup at 1 hour glucose Monday (passed, thank goodness). I move to every two weeks for checkups now. Eep!
The phlebotomist was hilarious, too. He recommended the fruit punch flavor based on “his first pregnancy” as he rubbed his beer belly.
4. Rants/raves/questions?
I’ve been seriously busting out the to-do list this last week. Somehow it feels both good and overwhelming at the same time. It’s starting to feel more real, that’s for sure!
5. GTKY: Where is the farthest you've ever traveled from home?
China or New Zealand, depending on how you want to measure. Both totally worth the trip!
@drb2424 I studied abroad in both of those places, actually. Highly recommend. Hit me up if you decide to start trip planning

25 weeks - I know this will shock everybody, but I don’t know how big she is
2. How are you feeling?
Heartburn sucks! Also having some trouble dealing with the heat. It may be because I’m not drinking enough water, or because being pregnant is hard enough without record breaking temps added in.

Nope

I asked MH to pick up ice cream (one of the few things that seems to help the heartburn) and he immediately asks me if it’s in the budget. He has the budget on his phone - he can look himself, so I got a little bit snarky with him for asking me... I can see this ice cream thing turning into the milk issue during my last pregnancy (he once asked if I drank all the milk so I went off on him about how if I want milk I can drink it and I went to the store to buy that milk and if he wanted milk he could go buy his own and then ran to the bedroom and threw myself on the bed crying - poor guy just wanted to know if he should buy more when he went to the store later. I also frequently cried over spilling milk). There was a little bit of the same feeling about the ice cream when he asked me as there was during the milk incident. Maybe I should warn him?

Big, tired, out of breath, crabby, the heat makes me nauseous as hell.. my abdomen hurt last night I think from growing more but I cried and DH felt so bad he couldn't do anything but hug me..

Next Tuesday is a growth scan and the 1hr glucose test

Las Vegas when I was in 5th grade lol we went to the bull riding competition my dad was into watching at the time.

Very overwhelmed and stressed by life and trying to be relaxed for baby.
Also baby kicks constantly!! I like it but it’s never ending!!!

I was supposed to have my 28wk on Thurs but had to reschedule for next week. So Tuesday instead.

I really like my midwife practice but the one thing I miss about my Ob was the portal so I could check results myself. The Midwives never call unless there is something wrong, but it’s hard just not knowing for sure. I assume I passed my glucose test since I haven’t heard from them but who knows.

My grandmother put money away for years so she could take me and my brother on special trips for our bar mitzvahs. She said pick anywhere in the world. He picked Greece, and I picked Tonga because it was as far from home as possible. We went swimming with hump back whales in the Pacific Ocean. I was 13. I’m staying with her now as she approaches the end of her life, and I smiled that this was the question posed.

2. How are you feeling? everything hurts, and i'm dying (but actually not terrible)
3. Any appointments this week? everything is next week! doc's appt, glucose test, and chiro appt!
4. Rants/raves/questions? So i just got back from a work trip last night, and the more pregnant i get, the more random airport strangers feel the need to make comments like "must be a boy!" "Are you sure it's not twins??" "Is it safe for you to fly, you must be due any day now!" I am so stabby right now.
5. GTKY: Where is the farthest you've ever traveled from home? Iceland! My husband and i went backpacking around the country and it was amazinnnnnng. I want to go back!
My test is Saturday; I plan to be at the lab by 8am. I don’t plan to do anything differently on Friday, just my usual for dinner and go to bed. The one thing I will do is move my snacks to a different location. Occasionally I grab a cookie or some crackers when I let the dog out during the middle of the night, and even just switching the shelves should be enough reminder that I’m supposed to be fasting.

Today I feel great! Just really hot and can’t breathe much.

Only my weekly chiro appointment I think. Better check my calendar to be sure.

Rave I guess? I’m soooo excited! Finally bought a ticket to go see my sis’s baby!! Flying to OH the 26th then driving back to CO with my parents in their RV. I can haul back all the blankets my little sis is making for me and the clothes.. I have room to bring back all the stuff! Curtis is already asking if I’m leaving food in the freezer for him. (Giant eye roll. Not sure how he survived on his own from 17-24)

Probably Cancun.

Still pretty normal. A lot of stretching in my belly but not really uncomfortable yet. Way more movement this week, it’s crazy!

Currently sitting and waiting for my one hour glucose test. Seeing my OB next week but hoping they will call me with the results before then.

We’re getting ready to visit day cares next week. Off to the day care thread! I love this board, pretty much every question I have there is already a thread for it.

Maui, Hawaii for our honeymoon. DH and I are dying to take an Asian vacation to see China, Japan, Thailand, and Vietnam. Unfortunately I think that will be hard with LO, maybe when she’s a teenager!
