Any additional monitoring/testing coming up? Just monitoring my blood sugar. My Endo prescribed me meal time insulin but I’m still deciding how I feel about taking it. I can manage without it if I eat very low carb, but it would give me more flexibility with my diet which I prefer. On the other hand it will make my OB consider my diabetes to be much worse and so they will treat me higher risk and induce earlier.
R/R/Q? My Endo is supposed to be helping manage my diabetes, not my OB, but I can only see him about every 10 weeks. I’m trying to decide if I feel comfortable only seeing him 3 maybe 4 times over my whole pregnancy. I feel fairly comfortable managing my blood sugar myself, but I also know things change.
Why are you high-risk? Diabetic, SCH, complete placenta previa
Any additional monitoring/testing coming up? OB is continuing to monitor my glucose. I was put on insulin last week. Seems to be helping, but hate all the side effects I experienced during my last pregnancy on insulin. I have weekly appointments to check the SCH and placenta. Today it was still completely covering my cervix.
@texasmommie Can I ask what type of insulin you take? I just started Humalog, but my Endo mentioned possibily adding NPH, which I’ve heard negative reviews of.
Why are you high-risk? sch and risk of developing preeclampsia
Any additional monitoring/testing coming up? I just have to email my log of blood pressure readings today
R/R/Q? I was taken off pelvic rest and now I don't even want to have sexy time with dh. My blood pressure has been good except it spiked over the weekend. I'm hoping it was because I just did a lot and was a tad dehydrated.
