Our master bathroom has these two tiny separate sinks (no counter space, no cupboard/shelf space) and I’ve hated them for the 5 years we’ve lived here. DH ripped the first one out last night, and his brother is coming over today to help put a real double vanity in! I’m going to have counter space!!
I’m been organizing and purging the upstairs for the past two weeks. I’m almost done with the master bedroom! Then I can deep clean the upstairs and start on the nursery! DH took some old furniture to the dump yesterday so I just need to do a thrift store/consignment run to get everything out. It makes me feel so much less stressed!
Yesterday we went to my best friends place who lives 1.5 hours away. She was having a "help stain our deck BBQ" but she and I are pregnant so we sat and watched the boys do all the work while we made food for them and caught up. It was a beautiful day and was nice to be outside enjoying the weather with friends.
Today we are cleaning our storage locker and visiting MIL for dinner.

Weekend has been pretty nice! Nursery has been almost fully emptied from office junk. We just have a very heavy desk to take out and then we can start converting to a nursery!!
Friday night I did nothing but watch Gilmore Girls and snuggle my pup. Yesterday DH had a memorial motorcycle ride for the brother of one of his club brother's and I met them for lunch. I had a nice eye appointment, apparently my eye sight is improving! And I got to spend time with my mom and little siblings.
DH finally built the dresser for Gs room and the crib comes Tuesday! Today is a nesting day. Organizing and cleaning up
@sammierose464 your eye sight can change during pregnancy. It is advised not to get new glasses while pregnant bexbeca of this reason. Hopefully your improvement lasts after baby comes!

Oh! And I’m going to see Les Miserable this afternoon (by myself). I’m a theatre nerd, and DH usually comes with to humour me, but we’ve both seen Les Mis before so he wasn’t super keen on going. So I’m having a me and baby date
Friday night we checked out a new brewery in our town. Just hung out at one of the outdoor tables and enjoyed the summer night.
Yesterday I went to the pool with my best friend and had some girl time.
This morning, I organized baby clothes. My mom bought us some clothes for baby from her neighbor’s yard sale (the neighbor is her good friend and her granddaughter was a premie and by the time she got home, she was actually too big for the newborn stuff so a ton of it still had tags!). I washed them and put them away in the nursery and loved looking at the tiny onesies in the drawers!
Today we are going to lunch with some friends visiting from the east coast and then coming home to put up wall decals for the nursery’s zoo theme. Then a friend is bringing her dog over for a doggie play date.

My eye Dr said he normally doesn't see it during pregnancy, but sees a decrease after pregnacy. Last year they stayed the same, so the small increasenin one eye was nice! (Not enough to change my contacts)
@jennybean80 That sounds like an awesome idea! I love the “me and baby date”.
This weekend my parents and brother are in town. We ate a ton of food and went to Belle Isle (a state park in Detroit) yesterday. It was so much fun and nice to be outside. The weather was beautiful. Today we went for lunch and got steaks for dinner. Just hanging at home so it’s nice to relax a bit. It’s been fun having my mom here. We have gone through all of the baby clothes and gifts we received at the shower last time at least 5 times! We also picked up the nursery furniture this weekend! It’s all still in the boxes in our front living room. Hoping DH and FIL can finish up the nursery next weekend so we can start setting everything up. The nesting is definitely starting!
We went camping last night with a few friends. Now we are hiding from the heat and binge watching Westworld. Nothing productive but laundry planned. Week ahead will be busy and HOT.
I’m home! My dog is home! We will both be sleeping in our own spots tonight!
It was a relatively uneventful drive from my parents place after a wonderful week of doing pretty much nothing (well- we did a lot, but nothing that had to be done!).
@spartan4life my best friend got married outside of the conservatory and had her reception at the yacht club there. It's so pretty there. We kayaked it last summer.
Yesterday we went and saw my parents while they were camping and went kayaking then I visited with my mom while dad and DH went on a ride on the side by side, then we went and got chicken wings and came home to watch the race which was fun!! Today my parents came home so I went grocery shopping then came home and made some BLTs then DH and i had some friends over with our godbaby and visited for a bit. Relaxing and nice. This week we have nothing going on until Friday (:
@sammierose464 I have had the same prescription for about 10 years. I need new contacts so needed a new eye exam and my prescription also went down. I got a trial pair and they seem to be fine. I was debating getting new glasses but I hardly wear them so I will wait. I go back tomorrow for a recheck just to make sure everything is still fine.
We had a great weekend up north in Muskoka with friends!! Weather was amazing, lake was perfect temp...virgin mojitos hit the spot!!
DS had a bad cold so he was a tad cranky but what can you do.
Last week I had started painting the nursery, I had done most of the cutting. When we came home today from up north, my MIL surprised is with the nursery completely painted! She is the best. Exciting to start getting furniture build and organized.
I got a new pair of glasses, but only because the ones I have are easily 4 or 5 years old and my script has changed most years. I don't wear my glasses often. I'm kinda excited for new glasses.
I got two new pairs of frames and will get new lenses after the baby is born. My benefits switched over so I wanted to Max out the old company spending limit. Usually I would have to pay for a good portion of my glasses out of pocket but this way I'll get two pairs for zero out of pocket. I'm pumped! Here are my frames. Show us yours @sammierose464

We’re still visiting my family in Austin and my aunt flew in from Albuquerque on Friday. Yesterday was a lazy day but today we went to eat at this little local restaurant in Marble Falls (outside of Austin) then spent the afternoon in Fredericksburg wandering around the shops. The highlight of my kids’ day was stopping for ice cream.
Catching up with everything after a weekend with family, and I could just love it everything! We just got back from visiting DH's brother and wife and two lil girls. Their oldest daughter is two months older than DD-6 and they have so much fun together! I get along very well with SIL and she's actually pregnant and we're due on the same day. Not sure how that happened lol! Sat was a cousin's wedding near to Billings MT. I'm a sucker for weddings so I thought it was so beautiful and I just loved the wedding songs! Mennonite weddings are fairly different than traditional ones. Our songs are all sung a cappella and with four part harmony. For weddings, they usually get a choir with anywhere around 15-20 people and have songs out of the hymnal with the congregation and a trio and/or quartet. I just love listening to the singing! So many of the songs that get picked for weddings, I just love! Ha, here I am getting all sappy again. Anyway, it was a lovely wedding, enjoyable trip and it's so awesome to be home again. Now to do the mountains of laundry
We went to a water park on Saturday and my 2 year old LOVED IT. She even went down a tube ride by herself. I'm so dang proud of her. My hips started hurting from walking around in sandals all day but besides that we were good. On the other hand she was an absolute beast on Sunday so that was exhausting.

We managed to be ultra productive this weekend but still fit in quite a bit of fun...DH's birthday is today but our older two left for a road trip to Colorado with my mom yesterday so we celebrated on Saturday. We also spent some time out in the kayaks and took the two younger kids bowling yesterday (to try to distract them from their brothers leaving...poor littlest keeps asking if they are done yet and they will be gone for a week and a half). But we also finished rearranging the bedroom and setting up our new bedroom furniture and the baby's area (our nursery for the first six months at least) and I did a major purge in our bedroom and took two loads of stuff to the thrift store (the kids purged their rooms last weekend too). Cleaned out the kitchen cupboards, fridge, and freezer, and gave them all a good scrubbing and made room for breast milk storage. Clearly nesting has kicked in big time because that's not everything but already seems exhausting, but I felt fine at the time! (Now that i am back at work i could use a nap though...)
Picture of our daughter's present for DH in spoiler because, hi guys this is us!
Sounds like everyone had a great weekend! Unfortunately I worked all weekend but I was excited to get out early yesterday and DS, SO and I went for a nice walk and played in the yard. Definitely not a productive as some of you!
Friday after my dr appointment we are planning on taking DS for his first haircut and to the zoo with my mom.
