Omg @kbernal2021 congratulations! So beautiful and @TalesOfASocialIntrovert... happy 2 weeks! so adorable and precious!!! All you guys look amazing. I can't believe how close we all are!! The beginning of my pregnancy felt so slow. Now time is just flying!! Here's my bump... 36wk 3d today.
We got admitted again yesterday to go under the lights his bilirubin count went crazy high in the 12 hrs after we got discharged. All is better now and are all finally home again edited because autocorrect
@hillbillywife Thank you! I'm finally starting to feel better. They had me on a wound vac until yesterday. Wasn't able to continue breastfeeding because I was separated from him for 5 days in the hospital and it all went downhill from there. Love him so much though. His dad is coming to visit us from NM, he will be here tomorrow, wish us luck lol. How are you?
@hayhay93 I’m so glad to hear you’re doing better finally! I’ve been wondering how healing has been since you mentioned complications. RE Breast feeding don’t beat yourself up! As they say, fed is best, hands down. I haven’t been through what half you have (tonight is my 4th and final night at the hospital), and we had to turn to formula to stem weight loss within 48 hours (was already down 11%+ of birth weight).
I was / am upset. But whatever keeps my baby fat and happy and healthy is the best path.
@pretzellover both my babies were EBF but both had formula within their first week of life on top of my breast milk, administered both by the nursery and by us (by syringe or cup). I wouldn't be hard on yourself. Fed is best like u said!!
@hayhay93 I’m glad that you’re doing better! I’m sorry you weren’t able to keep up with BF, but I’m glad River is getting fed! Best of luck with Daddy’s visit! I don’t think you’ve said how things have been with him much since you left. I hope everything is civil and it’s a nice visit!
@flockofmoosen3 Thanks! Yeah, I’m on Day 6 and still no milk... This whole pregnancy has been ‘only x% of women experience that’, and I’ve been in the x% every step of the way. Why did I think having no milk would be different
Hey, sorry we’ve had people visiting the past week and it’s been nuts. I’m sorry about you not being able to BF either, it’s been heartbreaking for me but at the same time, less stressful, because he was also losing weight. I hope things get easier for you from here on out. @pretzellover
@hillbillywife Everything has been okay with him. He still wants to move back in together but I don’t at this point. His trip here was relatively relaxed!! Thanks for asking. I hope things are well for you!! Loving everyone’s baby posts!
@kissableviv have you tried preemie onesies? DD weighed 5 lb 6 oz at birth and everything swallows her. I had to invest in some preemie things because otherwise it looks like shes wearing curtains lol
@kissableviv He is so cute! Look at those skittly little chicken thighs! I don't think I will ever have a baby with limbs that small. My family had a long history of chunky thigh babies that you can barely get into an exersaucer, lol. Although DHs side has more petite babies so I guess we'll see soon enough.
@kbernal2021 honestly I thought about it but I have SO MANY CLOTHES. it's hot so I've been managing ok with those gap onesies and the little kimono shirts from Gerber, DH is obsessed about the belly button and prefers a t-shirt and a diaper + a muslin blanket so the cord doesn't catch (he's a little over preoccupied with it!). Seriously my mom and I spent 2 hours reorganizing the closet because we got so many unexpected gifts since he was born! Once he is a little chunkier we'll have clothes forever lol!
