Re: 2nd Trimester Check In- Week of June 25th
Appts this coming week? The dreaded glucose test at my Ob appt Thursday. And a Chiropractic appt!
How're you feeling this week? Feeling great besides the leg cramps still waking me up at night.
Rants/Raves: summer is going by way too fast, but we are really enjoying it!! It’s hard balancing getting stuff done and having fun!
Edit: I’ve tried posting three times and it keeps cutting off my post so sorry I’ve posted it below.

GTKY: If you could choose anything, what would be your meal/snack request in the hospital for after you give birth? With my son all I wanted was a chick fila milkshake... unfortunately he was born on a Sunday so it was closed lol!! My sister brought me some amazing donuts and I also had Panera.
This time around id say sushi (raw stuff I’m still eating cooked!) and champagne! But it likely would be at home. For the hospital I will definitely be requesting take out though- the hospital food was awful last time I was so happy I had my own snacks and stuff!!!

Appts this coming week?
Nope!
How're you feeling this week?
My eyes have been really dry, and working on the computer doesn't help! I'm also have more dizzy spells than normal, which may be related to the dry eyes/headaches? Other than that, pretty good.
Rants/Raves:
I love my growing bump! I've definitely noticed it more and more the past 3 weeks or so, but this weekend it actually looked like a baby bump and I had several people remark how I'm finally showing. Yey!
GTKY: If you could choose anything, would be your meal/snack request in the hospital for after you give birth?
Mac and cheese! Probably from Panera, but at that point I'm sure I would take anything. It is my ultimate comfort food! And @chicandbubbly, I think a CF milkshake would go great with that!

Appts this coming week?
nothing this week
How're you feeling this week?
Feeling ok. I’m havent been sleeping well as I’m trying to sleep on my side and wake up with hip pains. Tried buying a pregnancy pillow (snoogle) but that was not good as it is for tall women and was making me hot. Last two nights I’ve been trying to make my own pillow by rolling a blanket. But I’m still having the hip pains.
Rants/Raves:
Just my struggle with diabetes and good sugar numbers. I’m doing insulin shots before bedtime. So it helps my fasting numbers. And even helps my after breakfast number. I exercise after every meal. But dinners are tough as sometimes no matter how much I exercise, the number is still high.
GTKY: If you could choose anything, would be your meal/snack request in the hospital for after you give birth?
Since I can’t have pizza because of the GD, I’m planning to order pizza

Appts this coming week?
Just an EKG with my primary car physician that my OB wanted me to do sometime before 20 weeks as a baseline this Friday afternoon.
How're you feeling this week?
Annoyed it’s Monday, and still a little in disbelief that I made it here. Still nauseous in the late afternoons - I’d hoped that would magically disappear at 14w
Rants/Raves:
None right now - just...sitting here waiting, growing a very little person.
GTKY: If you could choose anything, would be your meal/snack request in the hospital for after you give birth?
I’ll probably send my DH for Sushi King down the street from the hospital. My OB actually said so could still eat Sugarfish (a sushi place - so as long as it’s from somewhere reputable) as long as I still avoid high mercury fish (mostly leaves me with just salmon), but I haven’t actually done it yet. Perhaps I should before I’m showing so I don’t get side eye

Appts this coming week? Nada. Need to book glucose for week 28, though
How're you feeling this week? Pretty good. I’ve been a little extra sleepy the last couple days. Hopefully I can keep the 2nd tri energy a little longer into the summer!
Rants/Raves: Trying to enjoy summer and get my giant to do list done. Balance is key, and I haven’t found it yet!
GTKY: If you could choose anything, would be your meal/snack request in the hospital for after you give birth?
No idea! For savory maybe lasagna, sweet a donut from Mighty-O? Is the post-birth meal a big thing?
@prudence9-2 hope you find a good sleeping option soon!
Appts this coming week? Nothing until July 11th
How're you feeling this week? I am feeling great, except some minor acid reflux and burping all day every day
Rants/Raves: I finally told my boss that I am expecting last week and her reaction was awesome! It feels good to not stress about it anymore.
GTKY: If you could choose anything, would be your meal/snack request in the hospital for after you give birth?
I can't think that far ahead yet! My cravings run my life right now and they change every couple of hours! Sushi would be good probably! Or rare steak!

Appts this coming week?
Tomorrow I have my second anatomy scan and OB appt. I am hoping we get a better plan of action for the remainder of the Pregnancy. We will also be touring L&D for one of the hospitals I may deliver at.
How're you feeling this week?
I am run down and sore. I swear it feels like I have the flu, my whole body hurts, but I'm not sick at all. I've started swelling in my hands and feet which has me worried a bit, since I never did with ds.
Rants/Raves:
Baby boy has been moving a lot more, which makes me happy. Anterior placentas suck!
GTKY: If you could choose anything, would be your meal/snack request in the hospital for after you give birth?
Probably a super greasy pizza or ice cream. I wanted pizza super bad after ds, but it was 2 am when I got to my room and just a little to late for delivery, lol.
Also, all of the meal requests are making me hungry Pizza sounds so good right now- too bad I will be having a healthy dinner of chicken and veggies- lol! I did have sushi for lunch though!
Welcome @artemis618!
@prudence9-2 have you ever been to a Chiropractor? That might help with hip pain!
I have an acupuncture appt today. Maybe I’ll ask her if she could do anything for it too.

Appts this coming week? None
How're you feeling this week? Tired. I have insomnia and cant stay asleep Also, none of my shoes fit and I am not able to bend down to buckle the straps of my sandals. I had a near meltdown last weekend... Went out and bought new Superga sneakers so my poor feet dont get cramped in there. I think I have minor swelling for which my midwife said I should put my legs up two times a day (which I dont get to do at work).
Rants/Raves: I have a confession to make . I had a whole plate of New Zealand salmon sashimi. It was so fresh and buttery I ate the whole plate myself (slowly savored) Btw, its ok by my doctor as long as I know the source, freshness and dont eat fish heavy in mercury.
GTKY: If you could choose anything, would be your meal/snack request in the hospital for after you give birth? I dont know, I haven't thought that far in advance.
I'm a little overwhelmed/worried. I have a monster UTI. This is my second uti in 2(ish) weeks. My dr said that if I get another close to this one, then I will be on a small dose antibiotics for the remainder of the pregnancy. I have to do a 24 hour urine catch, which is super hard, btw. I think peeing in a jug is harder than seeing in a cup. I'm basically being treated like I have pre-E. They pulled labs to check my bile salts to see if the ICP is coming back. I go back in 2 weeks to check my blood pressure.
@wildrainbow I’m sorry to hear about your UTIs - I did my first 24 hr test around 9 weeks - did they not give you a “hat” to set over the toilet into which to pee? I found that worked pretty well. I should have gotten two jugs - I ended up having to put the excess in an emptied water jug - now I know to ask for two next time. Hope the infection stays away!

Yeah, when I did 24 hr at the hospital, I had a little catch basin in the toilet that was then poured into the jug. If they didn't give you one, I bet you can pick up something like it from CVS or Walgreens.

Appts this coming week? Fetal echocardiogram on Friday, which I was told is done for all IVF patients.
How're you feeling this week? I feel better than last week, when I was just bloated constantly and achy. First I was worried about gaining too much weight, then I was worried about gaining too little because now I can only manage small meals. HAH. Apparently it's normal to have spurts and plateaus. I'd like to blame infertility for the anxiety, but if I'm being honest with myself, this is par for the course.
Rants/Raves: One of my good friends visited for a few days, and we got in some walks and talks. It was awesome. She got to feel the fetus kick/punch/head butt/whatever it was doing in there.
GTKY: If you could choose anything, would be your meal/snack request in the hospital for after you give birth? I think ice cream, even though it's not forbidden right now (thank goodness). But then sparkling wine as soon as it's acceptable. WINE.
3 IVF retrievals.
PGS and PGD results from 9 embryos: 1 genetically normal embryo.
April 2017 transfer. BFP! M/C 11 weeks.
Donor embryo program: January 2018 transfer. BFP, EDD 10/6/18
Appts this coming week? Had an appt and GD screening on Tuesday- she was finally able to differentiate both heartbeats! Found out this morning I passed the glucose screening and I'm so relieved!
How're you feeling this week? Pretty good, still just a lot of low back/hip pain. Getting to sleep sucks.
Rants/Raves: I feel like ALL anyone talks to me about anymore is my pregnancy. I attend a lot of industry/networking events and I feel like it's the only topic of conversation. Beyond being tired of answering the same questions over and over again, sometimes I just want to scream "I am more than my baby bump!!!" . Then I feel guilty for feeling that way after all we've been through to get here!
GTKY: If you could choose anything, would be your meal/snack request in the hospital for after you give birth? All I can think about is how soon I can have an ice cold beer
1st cycle of IVF started April 9, 2017. ER- 15R, 7M, 5F, 4 frozen, 1 transferred. BFN
May 2017- Hysteroscopy
June-August 2017- 2nd attempt via FET. 2 Embryos transferred on 08/10/17. BFP, but ended in a chemical.
November 2017- Hysteroscopy
January 2018- 3rd attempt via FET. 2 Embryos transferred on 01/25/18. BOLD BFP on a HPT on 1/31, Beta # 1 on 2/5= 721. Beta # 2 on 2/7- 1903. 6wk+3 day scan revealed twins!
I'm blogging about it here
