39 weeks....a pumpkin

New/Interesting/Festering Symptoms
Lots of "lightening crotch" fun going on (guessing baby is fully engaged) and some cramping. Not much else honestly. Not convinced she's interested in coming out for her planned birthday.

Appointments/US this week
Just my weekly with a cervix check on Friday. Last week I had nothing going on basically.

Random Questions
Has anyone been induced after having one c-section and had a successful VBAC? I have been fully prepared for a VBAC and my Dr. has been saying the whole pregnancy she thinks I am a great candidate for one, but I am concerned if baby doesn't come on her own and I have to get induced in a couple of weeks that will all change....

Rants/Raves
My rave is that at 39 weeks I am still feeling pretty good. No major aches or pains, no swelling at all, and still sleeping pretty well at night.
My rant is that all makes me think shes a little too comfy in there and makes me worry about how I'm going to get her out....lol.

How are you and H/SO preparing relationship-wise for the newest addition?
Honestly, it's been mostly him. He has just been so sweet lately with helping with our older kiddo, cooking and/or cleaning up without me asking him too, cleaning, etc. It just really solidifies my feelings towards our partnership as parents and makes me way less nervous about adding another kiddo to the mix.

37 + 3 today, baby is the size of a striped skunk

New/Interesting/Festering Symptoms
Getting the occasional lightning crotch (wow, such fun) and this dull radiating pain that shoots down my thighs and originates in my hips. It is brief and intense like the lightning crotch, so my assumption is that it is just some form of it. Anyone else get that kind of pain/ache?

Appointments/US this week
Just a cervix check tomorrow. Last week I was all closed up but was told that the cervix seemed to start to thin. Hoping for some progress tomorrow!

Random Questions
None right now, besides the one above about the dull pain/ache.

Rants/Raves
My rant is that since I have been spoiled with a fairly uneventful pregnancy now that I feel things moving a bit I am getting impatient and just want to get on with it already! I know the babe will come when he is ready, but, I mean, I'm ready ha ha ha ha!
Have to rave about my husband and what a great support he has been throughout this entire process. I definitely couldn't have done this without him.

How are you and H/SO preparing relationship-wise for the newest addition?
We haven't outright prepared our relationship for this. I think us being open about what we want for our future (who knows, those ideas might be promptly thrown out when we experience the reality of parenthood

) is what is preparing us the most.

@whiskeyandtrouble I have been getting pains in my groin muscle that sound similar to what you are describing! I have no idea what they are.

Also, I love your SN. Whiskey is my jam. Trouble too. lol
